Plagiarism and imitation accusations are rampant in K-Pop lately.

Countless acts have been scrutinized for copying certain aspects or ideas of other groups' concepts, and this time MONSTA X is in the unwanted spotlight for allegedly copying EXO.

A netizen shared gifs comparing the performances by MONSTA X and EXO, pointing out that MONSTA X directly copied the widely known "Growl" choreography of getting down to the floor and then rising back up. At a glance, the performance do appear similar, and other people who chanced upon this post generally agreed with the OP.

They wrote, "Isn't that 'Growl' dance really ing famous??? The rumors that you'll throw out your back attempting to dance to it is also really famous;; I think it's totally unacceptable to copy that move," "Wow...when people mention 'Growl' that's the first move I think of..how can they copy that..?" " so they plagiarized EXO's dance, Block B's MV, and BTOB's album cover; they must be plagiarism idols," and more.

What is your stance on this latest plagiarism controversy?

I think it's complete bull. EXO doesn't own that dance move.
And 'netizens' who label artists as plagiarizers for the heck of it should be sued for slander.
Those comments are completely unacceptable. And it's fans like these that ruin my experience of being an EXO fan.
