Nickname(s) : he doesn't have a nickname that everyone uses, or one that is known by being his nickname, but sometimes his older brothers call him "xing" when feeling particularly close to him (usually when they are out doing something like hunting or travelling). jae eun would end calling him "xing" sometimes too, but she likes to think about him as "húli", that means "fox".
visuals — She's tall for a woman, usually standing eye to eye with most men. Her slender frame gives her an aura of elegance, but her sharp features ensure the serious air needed to her profession. Most of the time she wears the doctor's gown, but when not wearing it light colors still prevail, like she's always ready to perform her duty. Also, because she never knows when she would need to enter into action, she prefers robes with more tight shut sleeves. Her hairstyle is always simple, or a low bun while on duty or a simple half hair up when in other occasions.

personality —
dutiful, Motherly, responsible, attentive, calm
obstinate, possessive, resentful, closed up, blames herself
extras: Capricorn, ISTJ, blood type a

Jae eun is a woman who knows her duties and follow with them until the end. if she compromised with something she will do it for certainly and she would never leave you hanging when you need, specially if she promised her help. her attentive and calm nature makes her always ready to offer help or solve problems when they arise since she's always alert to what's happening around her and the fact that she never loses her cool is a great helper when calming someone up. she also has some deeply engraved motherly instincts and she will always be caring for someone (usually would be her troublemaker apprentice, but it quickly extends to any patient, and that's why the young kids love her. she would be all sweet smiles and kind eyes to them).

but under all her sweet, calm and benevolent persona she has her dark traits as well. she would never change her  mind once it's made no mattering whom she's talking or interacting with. she's actually really reserved about her personal feelings and specially about her past, and bringing that up is the fastest way to whip off her smile and instead receive a icy blank look. because of her past and the losses she suffered she can be possessive about her current relationships and she's also quick to resent others, what allied with her obstinated self makes it really hard for her to forgive people, but maybe worse is the fact that she's even quicker to blame herself. most of the bad things that happened to her she takes the blame to herself, even when it's absolutely ridiculous to think that she's the responsible one.

inner demon
jae eun doesn't have a inner demon per se, but more like inner little imps that are always bugging her and making her fight on various war fronts against them.
The firt one is her possessiveness. it's not about her material things (she's quite chill about it, just ask first) but about her relationships. she would do absolutely everything to protect and care for those she's close with, what lead to her second imp. she's really distrustful of  other people, specially if they come close to her loved ones. she will treat and think about all of them as threats, even that they are not evil-whising and even that in the surface she will be polite, something on her aura would make them unconfortable and deep inside  she actually takes some joy in knowing that (something alike the lines of "yeah, be unconfortable and afraid peasant. just try to harm my loved ones and i will have a way to have your head").
The last imp is that she usually has to fight against the envious she has of other's happy life. specially if she sees a young family or young couple. it can turns quickly into jealousy and she would need to fight herself to keep being fair and respectfull to everyone, or otherwhise she knows she could end treating others badly just because of her envy. (that's because her own happiness was taken away from her, so...)

trivia —
- She was afraid of blood when she was a child
- Kids and babies love her.
-The name her mother gave her turned to be pretty acurate, since she's very tall and almost always wearing white (a tall pine tree wearing the white robe of snow xD)
- She is a tea lover and knows a lot of different types and what they are better for.
- Before being called to help assist the King in his ilness she mostly attended to children and young teenagers since she knew how to deal with them.
- She's adept of meditation. (needs to keep her imps under control)
- a deep expert and fancier of incense, she uses them on her day-to-day routine, specially to calm stressed patients, so she's always smelling like it.
- her knowledge as a doctor doesn't include only herbs and how to patch people up, but also includes the key points of the human body (a.k.a this could be dangerous if used with the wrong intentions)
- in the palace, the only people that know about her past are her parents, the king and the queen and minseok. the others just know that she had been studing in the imperial academy for the last five years, where she quickly showed her potential.
- she has a weak spot for guys with dimples because her husband also had dimples.

background — Born the only kid from two doctors, Jae Eun couldn't possibly follow another path besides the same her parents took. Tan Yunxian was a promising student from the southern han kingdom that had come study in the imperial academy to further her knowledge about medicine. gong youngshik was the best of the new generation in the academy and when they met, they saw in each other a similar soul. when he was called to be one of the royal doctors in king jaewoo's court, he knew his prospects couldn't get any better and finally asked his love in marriage. shortly after they moved to the palace, where they would find out that they were imersed into the political disputes more than they could have imagined.
- many years ago, when youngshik was at the imperial academy as a student himself, his youger sister had been chosen to be one of the king's wifes. in the end, turned that she became the queen herself due to the power and influence that her family held. So when he arrived at the palace, he was already in the good eyes of the king because of his relation with his wife, and years of dutiful serving showed everybody how good of a doctor he was, until he became the head royal doctor.
- Jae eun was born many years before those events, but her life is tightly related to them. when her parents arrived at the court, the relation between her father and the queen was revealed just to the king and her mother and the king himself thought that there was no immediate necessity of spread those news to the public. the queen and yunxian became friends and they spent their pregnancies together, idealizing about their children's future. so after both their kids' birth, jae eun and minseok were put together as playmates, specially because yunxian was his wet-nurse, and they grew up together. even that prince luhan and prince yifan were the same age of minseok, at his tender age his mother still prefered that he would play with his cousin jae eun. she was her own blood, so the queen was sure she could trust the girl and her parents. with each new prince that was born, specially with minseok's full blood brothers, jae eun was less and less needed as minseok's playmate, but the bond was already made. they thought alike and decided to remain friends no matter what.
- while growing up jae eun showed a caring side, because despite her fear of blood, she always tried to help the little injured animals that were left in the palace's garden. seeing this her parents tried to teach her little things everyday. what that plant does, how can you help someone sick and so on. she grew up interested in those little facs that her parents told her, specially because they seemed much more precious comming from her busy parents.
- things started to change a little when she was ten. she always was a beautiful kid, but around this age some higher ups in the palace started to wonder how pretty she would be when older, so they could consider marring her to their own sons, all of them much older than her. noticing this her father was not pleased at all. he trusted king jaewoo, but many of his ministers he trusted not. so using his wife's malaise as something bigger than it was, he brought his family to his hometown in tianjin, where his family house was. in a distance of three days of horse travel, it was still close enough for him to visit, but far enough to discourage possible "canditates". now much closer to the nature than in the palace, jae eun seemed to blossom beautifuly and the greater amount of time she now had with her mother increased her interest in her mother's profession. between her home lessons and playing with her (distant) cousins, she kept contact with minseok by letters. at first it was an incentive so they could better they writting, but it soon turned into a chain of funny jokes and good stories about their daily routines that they liked to share with each other.
- when she was thirteen she was sent to the Imperial Academy, the same her parents went, to learn how to be a phisician. At first it was difficult because she was young and one of the few female students, but her knack for the profession soon showed up. Things also got better after she made friends with the grandson of one of the resident patients. he was five years older and his name was han chulmoo. They quickly made a brother-sister relationship but Jae eun ended falling in love with him. It took him years to reciprocate her feelings (specially because she made everything she could to not let him know of them) but when she was sixteen he started to court her. she had turned into a beautiful young woman and her appearance was the final push for the feelings he was trying to hide. from then on minseok had noticed that his cousin was in love because all of her letters talked about this same man. He but was happy when he received a letter from her saying she would get married. she was eighteen at this time. jae eun invited minseok to her private wedding, but unfortunatelly he couldn't go. he still sent presents though.
- despite that her father was now a high ranking doctor, his family had stayed too much time away from the court to be remembered in the gossips and in general and he was happy to give his daughter a wedding with just the closest people to her and her future husband.
- after the wedding jae eun went to live with chulmoo in his family lands. there she got closer with his two half-brothers (sons of his father with other women) ren and han, specially after she found out she was pregnant. chulmoo trusted his two half-younger-brothers the most because he was always a good brother to them and they respected him a lot. also, at that time they were barelly teenagers and their lively personality was good company to his beloved wife while he was away because of his job. She would spend her days studing or watching they train (they were training to become soldiers like their brother).
- things were going wonderfully for her until she reached her last month of pregnancy. chulmoo was called to assume a post that was left open in the northeast border because the army was facing problems with barbarian tribes. jae eun insisted on going with him until half of the way and then stopping at a big citty. she wanted to enjoy some last days with her husband that would be away in the war for an unknown amout of time. they were attacked by bandits little before they reached the city and the little scort that was with them was not enought to hold the thugs down. jae eun's carriage was turned and she hit her swollen womb in the hard soil. immediatelly she felt an excruciating pain and started to scream. hearing that chulmoo tried to run to his wife but was holded by more bandits that he could take down and ended badly injured. he dragged himself until where jae eun was laid and suffering to prematurelly give birth to their kid and held her hand, trying to comfort her and give his support. they stayed like this for hours until help arrived (one of the servants managed to scape and run to the city to get help) but it was too late. they arrived in time to help jae eun with the final stages of the birth, but the baby boy was already dead and chulmoo was beyond any salvation because he had lost too much blood. That day she lost her family and the true pleasure in living. she was only nineteen.
- she woke up two days after the incident in a medical roon in the city. the doctor was very gentle and consoled her during the whole night after telling her what had happened because her screams and tears were those of someone who had their soul torn apart.
- after the tragedy her mother-in-law blamed her and banned her from the family, but youngshik didn't thought twice and took his dear daughter back. the support of her parents was what keep her away from going insane,  but she started to blame herself too. maybe if she hadn't insisted on going, maybe if she was more cautious, maybe if she was a better doctor she could have tended to her baby and husband. After her mourning period had finnished she resolutely went back to the imperial academy to refine her knowledge and become a better doctor. her life became her job and the only breath of fresh air on her routine was years later when ren and han showed up again in her life. they just showed up in the academy asking to be students under her tutoring. they had finished their training as soldiers and now with seventeen they could do whatever they wanted without giving satisfaction to their father's family. jae eun was surprised, to say the least, when they showed up after so many years, but they said they never stopped to care and worry about her (because she was their beloved "noona") and they needed to fulfill the promess they had done to chulmoo before the couple traveled: that they would take care of her while their brother was away. that night jae eun cried her heart out again, but accepted their request. she was a strict tutor  but it paid off. while she was doing great in her job as doctor, ren and han were always praised by their professors. for the next five years that was her life, based on the academy, helping the sick, and even having to train an apprentice, until the king fell sick and she was summoned by the head royal doctor, her own father, to help assist the king (because she was one of the best doctors).

since she arrived at the palace some whispers have been rounding since everyone thinks it's almost scandalous that jae eun is an unmarried woman at her age and that she reached her position of respect and importance without the help of a husband or a son. jae eun also gets frustrated sometimes since it's not always that she's given the chance to help the king since the pride of some of the other older male doctors makes them think that she's not good enough, so she would be ordered to go check on the female wings of the palace, be it of noble women or servant ones (what actually makes sense, since she's a female doctor, so it wouldn't be unconfortable for the patients). although that everytime her father tooks care of the king himself he would call his daughter to help.

relations
Mother || Tan Yunxian (46) ||  The elegant and wise lady is Jae eun's role model. the woman wants to be someone like her mother, a lady with power in her words and mind, whom the men listen to and even seek advices sometimes. yunxian knows better than anyone the struggles of being a intelectual woman in a court full of men, so she's always the first one to offer advice and help for her daughter.
Father || Gong Youngshik (56) || They are not as close they could be as father and daughter because they lived apart for many years, but Jae Eun respect her father a lot and sees him as that indestructible pilar of strenght in her life. Youngshik on his side is very proud of what his little girl had become and he's always the first one to praise her when she does good.
Apprentice || Wen JunHui (20) || The little rascal is a pain in the a*s to Jae Eun since the last thing is his mind is to actually learn how to become a respectable doctor. Sassy, irresponsible and impulsive he's always getting himself into trouble (and fights) but what she doesn't know is that most of them is because he listened people talking bad things behind her back and he couldn't simply let it go. Even that he brings more headache than anything else to Jae Eun, just the fact that she doesn't give up on him and actually nags at him because she cares and believes he can do great things in his future is what makes him respect her. Junhui sees Jae Eun as the sister he never had and since he was kicked out by his family to another kingdom to see if he can get "reformed" to him she's his only family member left (they are distant cousins from Jae Eun's mother's family side). Jae Eun on the other hand get's annoyed and frustated with Jun more times in a day than she can count, but he is her little brother-ish rascal  and hurting him can evoke the very rare rage of the female doctor. (Besides, Jun is a new light in her life because being trusted with an apprentice of her own is a signal that she has reached a respectable place between the doctors, meaning that she finally fulfilled her promise to become a better doctor).
Closest Prince || Kim Minseok (26) || The bond that ties them is unknown by anyone besides themselves and their parents. Jae Eun was born some months before Minseok, so when the Queen gave birth to her first son, she tought that there was no one more trustworthy to be the baby`s wet-nurse than her own sister-in-law. So Jae Eun and Minseok grew up as friends in their early childhood, playing together and learning together. Of course that the more the prince grew the less time they had together, but Jae Eun always was a soothing presence to whom Minseok could tell his troubles at the end of the day. Even after Jae Eun left the palace for some yars, they kept in touch, making of one another the only ones to know the troubles their were going through. Now, even when they don't agree completly with the way the other is acting, they still have each other unquestinable loyalty. (So yeah, you can say that Jae Eun is #TeamMinseok in the run for the throne xD)
Husband (deceased) || Han Chulmoo (25) || He was five years older than her, but was the love of her life. caring, noble and good humored, he was also a respected Captain of the Eudaimonian army, and the day she lost him was the day she lost her family and the true happiness in her gaze.
Bodyguards and assistants || Ren and Han (22) || The always quiet and mysterious duo that are the impersonation of Jae Eun's shadow. They are in charge of not only protecting her, but also help her in her medical duties, specially in first aid, since they can arrive faster if the place is far from where she is at the moment. Their identities are a mystery for everyone in the palace since they are always clad in black masks, with black clothes to go with, and they rarely speak to anyone else besides Jae Eun, Doctor Gong and Junhui. the only things that everyone can see is their beutiful and intimidating eyes and the sheer loyalty to their master. (this, this and this is what I imagined for their clothes)
The Schoolar || Jae Eun have a friendly and civilized relationship with the other girl. In a palace where most women are girly and futile, they like to invite each other to philosophical conversations over tea. (it's on you if you want them to be real friends or not)
The cook || Jae Eun treats the other like a decent human being, what is more that most nobles do. As a doctor she knows the importance of a healthy meal, so she likes to trade ideas with the other girl. Also, it's to her that Jae Eun makes the specific requests for her patients in the palace.
The Assassin || [ if i got it right, mingxia is in the palace to fight against someone that is a threat to the kingdom -and possibly the imperial family- so maybe she and jae eun share the same mindset of protecting the people? i was also thinking that it would make sense if jae eun was the person to whom mingxia would go if she needed to be patched up if that's the case... but please, correct me if i'm wrong, since i think those two could have a civilized relationship]

lover's background — His mother was the daughter of a rich merchant that had some noble blood left in him. her beauty, elegance and good manners attracted the attention of jaewoo at an young age and he turned her into one of his concubines. she took a chance at the king's favour that was offered to her and she ended being the first of the concubines to give him a son. this also ended giving some more leverage to yixing, even that it was not much. because he was the first of the concubines, he kind of entered to the "older son hall" with minseok, luhan and yifan. the other three, although they like yixing (he's just sweet and likable like that) deep down think about him as kind of inferior because he's just a concubine son, so yixing ended turning close to junmyeon, that not only is the same age as him but also turned out to be more aproachable since he's the second son (of the queen). while they were growing up they were always assured by the support that the other gave and ended building a bond of trust and loyalty.
also, yixing's personality is in great part because of his mother. while growing up she always said to him "smile and be kind and you will win everyone's heart". as a kid it seemed just as a way to gain friends, but when getting older and more aware of the real thing surrounding him (his mother was careful enough to little by little show him the true face of the court so he would not be played with) he saw the other side of this saying: no one would ever doubt or distrust him, he would always be underestimated and this could be of great use to him.
but despite this new knowledge he never aimed for the throne. first is because he knows that kings must be also war leaders and he could never be a real fighter with his body condition, and the other reason is that to be king it would be impossible to stay being perceived as he is today and he enjoys more the leverage that he gains with people underestimating him. also to him, the ones that hold true power are the ones that the leaders trust and rely on, thus, he aims to be the king's right hand man, the prime minister, the one that is always whispering at the king's ear. but he knows that to reach that position the king must be someone that trusts him, thus why he's loyally supporting junmyeon on his run for the throne.

personality —
Yixing is the prince known by his sweet nature. a dutiful son, a respectful brother, an understanding master, he's all of those. he never minds giving a helping hand or doing a favour to someone and his people's skills makes him one of the princes that most deal with diplomacy. he's always seeking for an answer that will let everyone happy (or at least the closest to this) and his loyalty and practical sense makes him a realiable person to those close to him (specially to Junmyeon -run-).
but clearly all this selflessness can turn against him since people could abuse of his good will. he also doesn't deal well with criticism and often need to be reassured about his abilities and value (what could turn him into a really needy person in a relationship -run-). yixing also often worries about his social status and his gentle persona is a way to keep him in everyone's good eyes. because of that he can also turn competitive to stay the best in everyone's eyes and on his way to this he can become somewhat obsessive and selfish.

summary: blood type o, esfj

trivia—
- he's hemophiliac, so he needs to have his own personal doctor (and said doctor must be with him all the time basically)
- from all the martial arts the princes learned, he specialized in archery since he doesn't need to get personally into the fight (his condition really gives him a huge disadvantage in body combat)
- he's interested into war strategies and politics, but maybe not as passionately as some of his brothers. (at least, on the surface, because he probably understands more of it then any of his brothers)
- his favorite color is white and his favorite season is winter.
- he's part of the royal diplomatical team.
- he's too accident prone for his own good. literally.

inner demon —
Yixing is just a sweet and caring person, right? wrong. behind his sweet smiles hide a cunning mind. he's way more self-assured and egocentrical than he shows and he's always calculating everything that he does. he could be the biggest hidden threat to all of his brothers since they don't know that he has a schemming personality, but fortuntatelly for them he doesn't aim for the throne. at least not directly.
in other words, his inner demon is that he's the biggest two faced a*shole of the entire kingdom. you think that you can use him, when actually it's him using you without you even knowing, to fulfill his own desires.

love story —
after yixing's old doctor died from old age six month's ago, his mother thought that he finally had stopped with his reckless outdoor activities (actually it's not that bad, but she worries too much), but the real reason was because of the season and now that the spring is full force going on, he went back to the hunting activities with his brothers, specially if junmyeon was going too. so when he came back with a gash on his tight that obviously would not close up like the wound of a normal person, thus increasing imensely the risk of infection, his mother went running to the king to beg him to let some of the royal doctors to take a look at yixing. in his own opinion jaewoo did better yet, he designed someone to yixing, the reliable doctor gongjae.

first meeting - the king asked for jae eun to see him and she was quickly accepted inside the king's chamber because her own father was on duty (of course the king thought about everything beforehand). the king then said that he had a request for her and like just waiting for a cue a servant announced from the other side of the door "your majesty, prince yixing is here to see you". when yixing entered, jae eun -that already was on her knees so she would not stand taller than the bed ridden king- bowed to him and he would takek his own place also kneeling before the king if his father hadn't stop him. "it's alright my son. stand up or you will just get your injury worse". from then on, the king proceeded to explain to both jae eun and yixing that she was now the doctor responsible for the young prince because his special condition required constant supervision of a qualified doctor and the king knew that jae eun was one of the best (besides, she was used to treat young people and he knew he could trust her). she just elegantly accepted the request and when given the permission, left the king's chamber with prince yixing. she introduced herself formaly as his new appointed doctor and asked if her assistants could help him to reach his own chambers where she would treat his wounds. yixing would ask 'which assistants' when he noticed the two dark clad figures that were looming on the corridor and going to their direction. he ended accepting the offer (it was a pain -physicaly and methaforically speaking- to walk on his injured leg) and it was the formal point where gong jae eun turned into prince yixing's personal doctor.

interaction - although jae eun is surprised that she was named as a personal doctor for some of the princes, she sees yixing just as a patient, while yixing is totally enticed by her. her beautiful face, her elegance and mostly of all, her practical knowledge. no matter the kind of wound or sickness he's feeling, she seems to know the faster way to make him recover in no time. maybe because of that yixing became more reckless, since in his mind jae eun would patch him up no matter what. on her side the prince's field trips with his brothers just gave her headaches since he always come back with a new wound or scratch when the last one was still not fully healed and in his case everything should be treated with utmost care and concern. while at that jae eun's puppy and shadows (a.k.a junhui, ren and han) would follow her while she followed yixing around, since she basically became the prince's nanny.

deep thoughts - despite the fact that jae eun looks like she's frustated most of the time because of yixing's antics, she actually admires his positive look on life and the ease to which he deals with people. yixing on his side always wonder what actually happened in her life to make her what she is today, since she fore sure is not one of the most social and open people out there but still, she attracts looks, turn heads and makes people listen and sympathize with her without even noticing.

relationship - without knowing yixing ended winning a spot on jae eun's heart. his look on life and his gentle personality and smiles won her. and his dimples. but she would never ever admit that out loud. he would make her smile and she appreciates the conversations they have, that could go to mundane things, to philosophical thinking, to politcs and even dreams quite naturally. they appreciate each other's high level mind and they became partners in playing janggi and xiang qi (korean and chinese chess, respectivelly). yixing would be happy just being friends with jae eun, but he noticed her change towards him when in one of his petty fights with junhui she ended taking his side and not her apprentice's. the hope he never knew he was suppressing afflored like a sunflower being reached by the sun's rays. at first it was hope to just get to know her better, but when this was achieved, it was hope of trully winning her heart.
because jae eun told him more about herself, yixing found himself showing his true persona to her and little by little they discovered about each other's not so pretty side. it changed their perceivings about the other, but in a good way. they could be themselves around each other, with no more hiding. with yixing, jae eun gave another chance to her heart to trully open to someone again and with jae eun, yixing learned to include others in his life. although they showed each other how to try compensate their flaws, they ended being a very dangerous couple because of the power of their minds and the power of their personas (specially because the good ones still hides the bad ones).

suggestions: maybe those two could end marring each other in a political marriage to give strenght to someone's position but in reality they are pretty happy about it. also, the following conversation is to show a little their interaction and plans after they admit their feelings for each other (also, in that conversation jae eun's father is dead and she has his post). that also shows a little more of how i depicted yixing in my head x3

"our best chances now are working to reach an alliance between both of our... candidates."
"oh? but were not you who aimed to be the second in power? if prince minseok and prince junmyeon join forces, no matter who would be king, you would always be the third."
"Well, you seen to forget that once I have you, my lady, i will certainly hold a position of power, no matter what."
"care to explain then? seems that i have lost this logic."
"you are the head royal doctor and prince minseok seems much found of you. what means that he listens to what you have to say. and i am still one of the king's son, despite of who is my mother. i also have reached a position of respect and trust in junmyeon's eyes, so i can say with confidence that he trusts me. junmyeon needs me because i'm his eyes and ears. so, if both ours sides can join forces, i would still be the shadow that whispers to him. and with you as my wife, minseok would listen to me too. i would still have the power i want and our beloved princes would have the power that they want and people would stop dying like you want. to me seems that everyone get out of this winning."
"well, i think you are planning too much ahead of what you can actually predict."
"what do you mean with that?"
"what gives you the certainty that i would be your wife?"
"oh please! haven't i already showed you how much my feelings are for real? don't joke with that!"
"hahaha i love when you go back to your cute self."
"that's not funny! stop laughing!"
"i'm sorry, but you're nearly pouting now" hahaha"
'grr...' "i will need to show you my... bad side?"
"you would really... disrespect me prince yixing? before a proper wedding? that's very awful of you." 'fake gasp'
'sigh' "ah... i just can't do anything when you look this way to me...noona."
"you'r way too cute xing-ah"

relationships
Mother || Zhang Fu (42) || One of the youngest mothers of one of the King's sons, Fu is known by her calm and mellow personality, but pretty much like her son, she also has a scheming side. after all, the apple doesn't fall far from the tree. Yixing and fu are pretty close and he's a dutifull son to his mother while she would do anything to protect her precious boy, although she's not controling like some of the other mothers, because she believes she did a good job raising her son and they have a strong trust in each other.
brother || Kim Junmyeon (25) || They are same aged brothers and for the ones looking from outside, the ones with the best personalities. They got close because they were playmates since kids (as much as their mothers let them) and their personalities get well with each other. Yixing has a weird loyalty towards Junmyeon, and this can turn his life complicated in the future. For now, they like to discuss serious bussiness together because they respect each other opinions and when they are not doing that they are enjoying some calm (and probably indoor) activity together. (but yixing would follow junmyeon anywhere really, so if jun wants to go hunting, xing will go too, and things like that -that usually end with yixing scratched and his mother woring too much over that).
'younger sister' || chan xinyi (20) || he met her soon after she arrived at the palace and her lost face was just so cute that he ended helping her. her friendly and well intended personality makes him feel at ease, so he feels like he doesn't need to be scheming around her. they end looking for each other's back on the little day-to-day things and yixing is always ready to help her hide from madam wu for some time (he also thinks that she's way too intimidating) or to call sehun out for not taking care properly of his personal maid.
"little trammels" || wen junhui (20) || junhui is the personification of yixing's migraine, his personal pain in the a*s. the young apprentice of doctor gongjae is always around her, meaning that he's also always around the prince. it wouldn't be so bad if junhui didn't act like a overprotective little sh*t brother towards jae eun, meaning that every and any move of yixing to try to get closer to the beautiful doctor is hundreds times more difficult. those two actually think alike , what gives junhui the born ability to push yixing's buttons and the prince is constantly having his patience tested so he could maintain his good persona intact. also doesn't help much that jae eun clearly has a weak spot for junhui, what kinda makes her always takes his side. yixing is determined to win a bigger spot in her heart than jun's, but the boy won't give up without a fight. (they basically are secretly fighting for her heart, but for different types of love, what makes everything even more dumb lol -run-)
brothers || kyungsoo&zitao || besides junmyeon, he's closer to kyungsoo and zitao since they are the youngers from concubine mothers and as the oldest from the concubine's sons, yixing kind of thinks he should watch over the youngers.

- eh... I know I wrote a lot, but to me my characters are quite complex, specially jae eun, so i tried my best to explain them in all sides possible. ;w;
- I hope you don't mind too much that I tweaked yixing's personality -run-
- It's up to you if the younger Kim brothers (Junmyeon, Jongdae and jongin) remember her as their older cousin. luhan and yifan never knew that she was minseok's cousin, they just thought she was his playmate because both their mothers were friends. x3
- I know that on those days if the family of the husband kicked out the wife she would be basically doomed, but in jae eun's case she's a widow (and anyone that got the entire history would side with her) that went back to live with her parents, and that's totally okay.
- you can use her past anyway you want, even throwing it as a bomb in the palace xD lol
- also, uh... i don't know in which point yixing would find out about her past. if this would be something he finds with everyone when the thing explodes in everyone's faces (if it even explodes. it's up to you), or he finds before everyone else, when he's still getting closer to jae eun (and she ends tellling him for whatever reason) or if she tells him but just after they get together. please help ;-;

scene requests —
- When things get real and people start to get hurt, Minseok and Jae Eun have a pretty serious fight because he thinks she's betraying him but she answers back that her loyalty to him has nothing to do with her job as a doctor, so she WILL attend to all of his brothers, even those who are fighting against him for the throne, and that she expected more maturity from the man she believed could turn into a good king. (the whole thing is full of screams -from Miseok's side- and tension, and after her final bombastic line Jae Eun just leave the room and go treat the hurt guys)

- after another fight Junhui had, han is treating him while ren had gone after Jae Eun, and when she arrives, she just takes han's place with an aura that's emanating disappointment. When she turns to the water basin to clean the cloth she asks out of habbit why he had fight, and junhui surprises everyone when he actually answers with "They were saying you're not a respectable lady" -meaning that she was not a anymore-. To this, she just sighs, takes a deep breah and finally answers with "...They are right. I'm not a lady anymore" and proceeds to tell her apprentice about her late husband. I don't even need to say that Junhui get's shocked, but after that his determination on defending her reputation just improved.

- her father dies suddenly for whatever reason. this would crumb jae eun's world down and she probably would turn more unmerciful - meaning that she would turn her game really hard on the run for the throne-

- i don't know how this would work, but maybe some situation where jae eun is faced with her past and it's memories and she ends exploding (as in "angry as hell") and saying something about her late husband and child.

others — Even if she's not accepted, whould be fun to see Doctor Gongjae nagging at her apprentice as an easter egg. xD lol
and if she's accepted, I know there is a lot of side characters, so it's ok by me if most of them are cameos. Ren and han are not thaaaat essential to the story, so if you need, you can cut them out. Just Junhui that I have a weak spot for. You can kill her parents, but please don't kill him xd you can hurt him, but not kill, please ;3;
