visuals — Mirai looks like a harmless girl who smiles gently while doing everything with grace and precise motion. She stands at 163 cm and weighs around 49 kg. Mirai wears kimono for formal occasions and she wears hakama on daily basis and also when she's in a study session with her mentors.

personality —
Intelligent meticulous well-mannered resourceful appreciative
Manipulative scheming secretive prideful detached
Reserved ambitious

Mirai is an extremely intelligent girl who absorbs knowledge like a sponge. She excels in philosophy, politics, and economics. She's also not half-bad as a battle strategist and tactician. She's a poised and graceful girl who finds enjoyment at making detailed plan and minding small things that most people don't or can't see. She is a calm person and almost no one ever heard her raising her voice. Mirai is also a persuasive person; she knows how to get a yes and she knows how to solve problems and to get out from it without having to exert any excessive efforts with her silver-tongue. and above all, Mirai is a fair person; she always pays credits where the credits due. If someone did a great job, she won't hesitate to praise them for it. She respects the elders, although that doesn't mean she will only stand still if they do wrong or give her any unjust treatments.

But sometimes Mirai thinks her intelligence is part-curse for she knew she couldn't handle it. Being born as a daughter of a leader of a region in politically unstable era made her realized that war is not always in physical form and people can kill others without having to lay their fingers on their victim. she realized that she will be part of it sooner or later, so She has to do anything to survive. even that means she has to manipulate people while hiding behind her innocent and jolly facade. She doesn't find it hard to put other people in chaotic situations for her own personal gain. Although she often sparks a conflicted situations, Mirai always chooses to stays out of it instead of directly taking part of it. But when she's provoked, she quickly puts her opponents in their place by simply proving her superiority without actually directly dealing with them. One of his father advisors -who once stumbled upon her dark side by accident- dubbed her as the Sheep-skinned princess.

inner demon — Manipulative and detached af. She's been living very close to political world since she was a little, so she's been exposed to the darkest part of human's heart for a long time. Mirai knows what people would do for power and that people use each other like a tool. She sees the world like a chess game and people are only the pawns; no matter what moves you make and what pawns you sacrifice, in the end, it's about who's winning and who's losing. There's no genuinity in this world and there are always ulterior motives behind everything; that's what she thought. That's why she's always extra cautious at everyone and trust is just another word for a contract of your own death. That and her manipulative nature are a perfect combo that prevents her from making genuine and lasting bonds with others.

trivia —
- She was trained to use tessen to protect herself.

- She's disgusted about the idea of seppuku. killing yourself is not courage nor honorable, and Dying by your enemy's hand is not a disgrace when you've already tried to fight until death.
- Her little sister, Oda Senhime (8), is the only person she won't betray no matter on what cause. She is her weak spot. She knows it and she doesn't mind it.
- Plays shogi and western chess very well.
- She also learns battle strategy from her former mentor, along with politics and economics.
- Despite of her ambition to take over a "man's job", she also excels in woman's filial skills such as cooking and flower arranging.
- She doesn't drink. It's a precautious decision she made because she knew how a drunk person can spit secrets in their head without having power to control it. She's learned it hard way.
- She doesn't mind being accused as a villain, but she refuses to do a straight-up crime like killing people or stealing. She abhors it to the core of her heart (if she had any to begin with). That's a low blow, even for her.

background — Mirai was the first child of Oda Nobunaga, the current daimyo of west Japan region. Her father overthrew his brother, the legitimate Daimyo, to sit on the throne. Mirai was eight when she saw her uncle's trial with her own eyes. She was there when her father gave a sentence to behead his own brother. Since then, she'd been through many wars that her father and his loyalists involved in before her father finally strengthened his authority as the ruler of the land. While people and his loyalists saw her father as a great leader whose dream was to unify the land, Mirai only saw him as a ruthless man who was really at being a father.

Mirai was thirteen the first time she realized that one day, she would be forced to leave the castle. Her mentor and also her teacher, Fujiwara Seika, taught her about the patriarchal rule in the land. Mirai knew that once she was an adult, her father would marry her off to a nobleman to strengthen the alliance and she didn't have any chance to stay as "Oda." And also since her mother didn't bear any sons to the family, her mother's position was threatened and could be easily deposed by the concubines who had sons to be the heir of Oda family. So Mirai vowed she would be her father's heir to protect her mother and her little sister, Senhime. But as time went by, she was blinded with her own ambitions and forgot the real reason why she wanted to be a daimyo to begin with.

Mirai begged her father so she could go to Eudaimonia after she finished her study with some famous scholars in her country. She reasoned that there was nothing she could learn anymore in her homeland. She also said to him that it was a condition that her father had to fulfill before she was married off. Mirai was aware that no woman was ever going to be a Daimyo in near future and her father would most likely marry her off with a noble and gave the throne to his first son from one of his concubines. But Mirai was not going to back down without giving any fights. Her study to Eudaimonia was part of her plan to take her father's throne. She planned to get a diplomatic recognition from Eudaimonia as a de facto heir of daimyo title of West Japan region. but for that, she needed to infiltrate the palace and convinced them that she deserved the title and gave them promise for better alliance if she be the next Daimyo (you know, the usual politic stuff).
relations
Mentor || Kim Jangsaeng (65) || Jangsaeng is an old friend of Mirai's mentor, Fujiwara Seika, when the both studied to China. He was also the king's advisor before he retired five years ago. Jangsaeng also taught philosophy and politics to the princes. Seika gave Mirai recommendation to Jangsaeng when she decided to study in Eudaimonia. Jangsaeng is pretty fond of her since she's smart and very curious about everything he teaches her. Sometimes Jangsaeng is worried about Mirai because of how she sees the world. Seika also asked for his help to help Mirai understands that the world is beyond what she thought it was. Jangsaeng is like uncle Iroh to Mirai's Zuko.

lover's background — Junmyeon is the fourth son of the kingdom and the second son of the queen. Among other sons, he seems like the most harmless one. He seems like he doesn't care whatsoever about the throne and what drove him is just a passion to study. He gets along pretty well with his brothers, especially with the youngsters. He's well-liked by the Councils and the ministers since he never did any ruckuss that could taint the royal family's name. long story short, Junmyeon is a perfect depiction of a goody two shoes.

Junmyeon was growing up as an obedient kid. He watched over his father, seeing him working for the nation's prosperity, seeing him dealing with the Councils and ministers, seeing him being a father. Junmyeon admired his father even though Junmyeon definitely knew he wasn't his father's favorite. True, he tried to convince himself that his father loved all of his sons equally, but sometimes people made it obvious that as perfect as his father could be, giving love equally was a hard thing to do, even for the benevolent king. Junmyeon knew he wasn't that gifted physically and he was smart, but some of his brother were far smarter than he ever was. He knew his father always gloated in front of every royal guests about how smart his son was or how strong his other son was, but it was never him. He understood, though. He didn't resent his father for it because he knew that his father only told the facts. But he was lying if he said he didn't grow seeds of jealousy for his brothers. He tried to not scorn, though. At least not blatantly.

But It all changed when his father's condition got worse. Junmyeon was distressed. He visited his father as many as he could. And at one point, he was utterly baffled when out of the blue, his father told him, "I'm proud of you, Junmyeon. You know that, right?" No one ever knew this, but he was crying like a baby in his room that night. Partly because he was touched for he knew his father appreciated him and partly also because he knew that his father didn't have much time. That made him vowed to himself; no one ever loved the king as a father as much as he did, so he was determined that he would get the throne of the king to make sure his father's legacy wouldn't be ruined by others.

But yes, that promise was sidetracked when he started losing his way. He knew something was wrong with him, but he couldn't point what and how to rectify it. So he let it be. He let his obsession conquered him and molded him into who he was right now. He knew his brothers were also after the throne, so he decided that he couldn't trust anyone. Junmyeon knew he was not physically strong and he was lack of military support for he spent most of his time with the politicians, the Councils, and the scholars, and he was not interested in waging war. So he started targeting votes from the scholars and the Ministers, the politicians, and of course the representatives of other Kingdoms to get  a de facto recognition of him as the heir of Kingdom Eudaimonia. He would get the throne no matter what it would cost him

personality — Junmyeon is completely normal. He's smart, but not that  smart. He's able to defend himself, but he's not that strong. He's known as a calm and thoughtful man who was completely forgetable if he wasn't a prince. But one thing that Junmyeon doesn't realise about himself is his ability to handle people. He knows what to say, whom to say to, and when to say. And adding his charm to the list, he's pretty much unstopable when it comes to persuade people. The council of Diplomatic relation is very fond of him. Too bad Junmyeon always misses the proud look from his father whenever He's dealing with the Councils, the ministers, or any representatives from other kingdoms. That's why his father often asks him to tag along to banquets or events that Eudaimonia holds to strengthen the relation with other kingdoms. But sometimes Junmyeon can be pretty insecure of himself. Especially when he's comparing himself to his brothers. He also can be dangerous when he thinks he needs to use his persuasion to overcome his insecurity. He always gets a yes and he always gets the sympathy. It's not only once or twice he uses his ability to cause a havoc and defamation to other people.

trivia
- He finds enjoyment in gardening. Owns a bunch of bonsai that he tends meticulously.
- He hates naive person who thinks that being a silver-tongue means you're a bad person. "In politics, you need to earn supports, both from your allies and your oppositions. And if you think being a blatantly 'white' is the right and only way to bring prosperity, you're going to get crushed on the third day." - Kim Junmyeon, 25 years old.
- A trained marksman. He's weak at melee combat, so he chooses bow and arrow as his weapon.
- If not tending his bonsai, he reads on his free time.
- He Doesn't think there will be a woman who can stand him long enough to decide that she wants to marry him. That's why he doesn't pay that much attention to the Princess plotline because he's sure she won't be able to stay with him.
- He gets along very well with the elders.

inner demon — endless inner conflicts and insecurity. Junmyeon dubs himself as the man of ten faces and he lives up to his own self-proclaimed title. He knows he has charms and he knows how to use it to get what he wants. But at the same time, those qualities of his make him unable to see who he really is and what he really wants. All of his ambitions --Power, glory, and all-- are only instinctly-driven desires. Those confusions often come to him and make Junmyeon hates himself.

love story — People said "opposites attract," but that's not what happened to Mirai and Junmyeon. Their similarities are very uncanny, but yet, they were drawn to each other by nature.

Mirai and Junmyeon met the first time when Junmyeon visited Jangsaeng, his former teacher. Jangsaeng told him that Mirai was his new pupil. Junmyeon was intrigued since Jangsaeng was not the type who would take anyone as a student. So Junmyeon decided to take the offer when Jangsaeng asked him to join lunch with them. They made a small talk about various things, but that was enough for Junmyeon to decide that Jangsaeng's decision to accept her as his pupil was not wrong. But for some reasons, Junmyeon asked a help from the eunuchs to gather any informations about Mirai.

And when he knew her background, he confronted her about her true intention of her decision to study at Eudaimonia. He was suspicious that she was sent by the shogunate to spy at Eudamonia. And Mirai didn't even dodge the bullet, she answered him honestly that she intended to get a support petition from the Kingdom so the throne of the next daimyo would be given to her. "You're going to threaten your own father?" Junmyeon didn't know if she was joking or she was drunk. But Mirai only laughed and said, "Don't make me sound like the bad guy. I know that I deserve that title to begin with, so it's not a threat. The petition is just an emphasize to ensure it."

From her answer, Junmyeon knew that Mirai would be a perfect person to assist him to the throne by helping him to plan his political maneuver. So he made a deal with her. If she could help him, he would help her to enter the kingdom and getting a support petition that she had been Dying for.

Combining two manipulative people with trust issue in one team is the worst nightmare, even for those two people themselves. Each day they have to endure the worry of being betrayed. They have to move so carefully and be extra detailed so they won't leave any gap for betrayal. It's very tiring for both of them and when finally Junmyeon and Mirai have enough, they realize they can't make their objection into fruition if they don't trust each other. It's not easy, though, but they know they have to try or else everything that they've planned will be ruined. And eventually after few adjustments, they're pretty surprised when they realized how easy they trust each other and how easy they could tolerate each other's presence. And at the same time, those facts scare them. They're scared of how they're not scared about the chance of betrayal between them. Junmyeon and Mirai are scared of how they start depending on each other.

relationships — (optional)
Brother || Kim Minseok (26) || AMong other sons, Junmyeon is the most cautious to Minseok because Minseok is the eldest sons and also the first son of the Queen. He doesn't act hostile to Minseok, of course, he's his brother after all. But Junmyeon puts an extra effort to watch his move more than he does to other sons.

Brother ||Zhang Yixing (25) || Yixing is the only brother that Junmyeon can (slightly) trust. They often be found having afternoon tea together and Discussing about various stuffs.

questions/comments — um, I made Mirai and Junmyeon not necessarily romantically involved... at least not in the beginning, They're busy to find their own paths after all... I think. I guess that's probably because They're just two ed up people who try to find their true selves. or maybe because Junmyeon somehow just realized that Mirai is indeed can stand him and even stay beside him far longer than he thought she would be. I hope that's okay-ish?

And did I picture Junmyeon and Mirai a bit too antagonist-y or chaotic? I mean, that's how I see them in this story; like two people who lost their way and trying to help each other without even realizing that they indeed help each other, but not before they're leaving a trail of chaos behind them, is that okay with you?

scene requests —
WHY? | After they trust each other enough, Junmyeon asks her why she wants to be a daimyo and his question sparks a memory of the real reason why she's been obsessed with this daimyo business in the first place. But she disregards it as she answers, "Because I hate my father. You?" Junmyeon shrugs and tells her, "Because I love my father." Mirai laughs at his answer. "Things you do for love, huh? Isn't it ironic that it doesn't much different than the things people do for hatred like mine?"

I'm tired. | At one point, Junmyeon gets really tired of what he's been doing, chasing something abstract and hazy. And at that point, Junmyeon tells her, "Let's just stop and elope. Bring your sister and your mother with us to a place where no single soul knows us. What say you?" and Mirai only gives him a short glance and says nonchalantly, "Okay." Junmyeon raises his brows and they continue what they're doing like nothing just happened.

Good Guy. | Junmyeon's confliction comes to surface and he starts getting all confused with what he's been doing all this time with Mirai. He apologizes to Mirai about his indecisiveness, but Mirai tells him casually, "Don't apologize for your inner conflict. That means your conscience is not dead. That means there's still some good within you, unlike some of us."

others — Well, I'm perfectly fine if you want to use her as cameo.
