personality traits.  allocentric, optimistic, amiable, vivacious, stubborn, implusive, meddlesome, opinionated 

personality.  being at the blooming age of 19 years old, reiko is still developing to become an adult. she still doesn't know many things about adulthood but she knows that it's hard to be an adult which is why she is how she is now. reiko is a very active girl who loves a lively atmosphere. she's always the one that would input good advice and cheer up other people whenever she can. so overall reiko is a very optimisitc person because she sees the good in everything.

which leads her to being a very friendly person. she is open to meeting anyone and she's not afraid to step up to some stranger and say hi. although some might find that dangerous, reiko thinks every person deserves a chance at being loved. she is also the one to put her friends first before herself, because she believes that "teamwork makes the dreamwork". so to explain her a little bit further whenever they have an upcoming event and they need to perform and she's sick she'd rather perform then stay at the dorm and be sick. also whenever somethine's going on in her life, she'd rather not tell her friends because she doesn't want to be a huge burden to them.

going even further with her personality, reiko is a very lively and outgoing girl and absolutely dislikes staying still. she's always doing something or talking to someone because she feels extremely bored whenever she's not doing anything. because of this she's a bit of a hyper girl and so it's a bit troublesome to have her as a dormmate since sleep doesn't come easily to reiko. that is why she wants to room with the maknaes rather than her unnies, because her unnies are a bit scary at times when awoken.

continuing on from that, because she's so hyper she's a bit "diffiult" to handle. she's a very stubborn and opinionated person, blame her young age, but she has a lot of opinions and she abides by them strongly. and when she wants something to go her way, she will make it go her way no matter what. also she's believes most of her opinions are correct and she's highly confident in the opinions she makes, which makes her a bit of a meddlesome person. she sometimes, not on her will, interferes with people's conversations and likes to make her own input. note that it's only sometimes. 

also, occasionally reiko doesn't think twice about her actions and just does them. she doesn't think of the outcome because either 1.) she's having too much fun or 2.) she's just ignorant at the moment. she knows that others think that's annoying and always nag at her to think before you do but she can't help it. when she's still in her youth years, she wants to live her life like how she wants to which motivates her most of the time to do what she does.

background.  growing up in kobe, japan, reiko was used to the atmosphere of people walking by her, speaking japanese. she was used to her comfy and cozy city, kobe. she had never thought about moving to a different place even once, because she loved her hometown. but when she reached the age of 10, her parents broke the news to her that they had to move to korea. a totally different place, a place that she didn't know. at first she was very reluctant and did not want to go at any costs, but her father had to be stationed in south korea due to his job. over time she slowly started to change her mind about moving and started to accept it because her korean lessons became much more funner and the country interested her.

when it came time to move reiko had to say goodbye to her childhood friends and say hello to seoul, south korea. at first everything seemed pretty normal, it reminded her slightly of her city but all the words looked unfamiliar. due to language barriers, reiko thought that she would've been a outcast and also because she was japanese. she was a bit frightened that there might be some people who would hate her because of the history between japan and korea. but it turns out that koreans weren't actually that bad, some merely ignored her but some actually became her friends.

so throughout her middle school years she became accustomed to korea's culture and their language. and so through her middle school friends they would always shout about these boy groups that would sing and dance. honestly in reiko's eyes she wanted to have people go crazy like that over her as well. this is when her fascination in the music industry grew. she started to take choir as a class and she would go home to practice singing a little bit. she wasn't gifted like how most idols were but atleast she could hit notes and she knows basic music theory ( thanks to her continuous studies through the interwebz ).

what gave her even more motivation to become an idol was the boy group, big bang, from yg entertainment. ever since she listened to haru haru she became one of their hardcore fans. when she first decided to audition she thought of auditioning at yg because her favorite group was there, but then her decision slowly faded away as she saw the passion that all the yg artists had for music. they weren't messing around and she thought that she didn't fit in with the artists in yg ent. that's when she discovered another company called sme, a company that seemed more open in her eyes. that's when she auditioned for sme, and yes she didn't get accepted the first try. but she continued trying and on her 5th audition she was finally accepted.

– mother :: yoshida ayano (47) / housewife / understanding, loyal, caring / reiko and her mother had always held a very deep bond with each other. whenever reiko had a bad stomachache, her mother was always there for her to take care of her and would comfort her. they have a unbreakable bond that reiko doesn't really have with her father. also throughout the auditions that reiko did, her mother supported her the whole entire way and gave her feedback on her singing as well.

– father :: yoshida makoto (48) / air force / diligent, strict, assertive / reiko and her father didn't really have many interactions with each other, because her father was always busy in the military. but whenever he was free he would always come home and have fun with his family, making sure that he made good memories with them before he had to leave again. her father had also supported her in becoming an idol because he thought that reiko was old enough to make her own decisions and choises.

– aquaintance :: na moonhee (19) / idol / tba  / when reiko first joined sme, she saw everyone as compeition and that she had to get better than everyone. when she saw moonhee, she felt a little different...like as if she could get closer to the girl. so every now and then she would come up to talk to moonhee and they had similar schedules as trainees.

when reiko first stepped into sme, she felt like she was very different because of her race and also because of to how talented everyone else was. during her trainee years reiko had always felt pressured because of how little talent she had and she would always think what she would bring to the table. throughout her years reiko had dealt with many stressful times such as failing monthly evaluations and almost getting kicked out of sme for "singing with no emotion". after that traumatizing event, reiko had always practiced day and night to become a better singer so she could debut and finally become an idol.

what's one thing you're excited about for the comeback? hmm...the one thing im excited about for the comeback is that we finally get to see our sunshines again!
how do you feel about always being compared to girl's generation? honestly, i feel honored that we are being compared to our sunbaes but at the same time it's a bit of weight on us- or just me because our sunbaes have done so much and now they're comparing us to them.

what are your personal goals in the upcoming years? personal goals? haha...my first and important goal is to become a better singer or performer overall. another personal goal would be after i've gained enough money i would like to buy my parents a new house.
