What is this? Did you know that AFF is celebrating its 7th year of being up and running? Every year we have thought of ways to commemorate this special date by doing various activities.
With that being said, this year we have decided to make it all about you with these 45 questions, interview with yourself, survey, quiz—whichever you wanted to call it haha.
Why are we doing 45 Questions? Because... it's fun. Don't question.
Our theme for this year is the freesia, when given on the 7th Anniversary it upholds trust and faithfulness within a bond. The freesia is also a symbol of friendship. It was named freesia after Friedrich H. T. Freese by fellow botanist Christian P. Ecklon, as a tribute to their friendship.
This day marks seven years of trust, faithfulness and friendship with the site, it's creator and the community. As a thank you to all participants, we leave you with a thank you message from the creator of AFF himself.

1. Why was Asianfanfics created?
Because winglin was being weird and Jason's friend was getting frustrated and so he created a simple website to store all of their works in a safe place.
2. What is the exact date of AFF's anniversary?
April 11 2009 (it was just a random guess...)
3. Our admin, Jason, wrote a fanfic: Zero Day Diaries. Which kpop artists are featured in this fic?

4. How long have you been on AFF for?
This year would be my fourth year.
5. What color was AFF's layout when you joined?

6. How did you find AFF?
I used to write in a super junior forum called SJ-World, but by 2013 it was getting more and more quiet and i wanted to find a place with more traffic and with the help of a friend's recomendation, I landed here! And I'm still planning to stay.
7. How did you end up becoming a member? What made you want to become a member?
The website looked promising (clean layout, good interface), the number of members, and the fact that it includes works in relation to any and all groups, kpop jpop cpop or anything asian xD

Tangled Love, which is a story written by the friend that recomended me this site.
11. Who is the first AFFer you talked to?
umm i guess the first AFFer that i became close to is a girl with the username "luvhpurple". We started talking when I was still active in the 'apply fic' scene and when I found out that she's also from Indonesia, we became close. We went to make apply fics and onsehot request shops together. But then she had to deactivate due to personal reasons :(
12. Who was your first friend? Do you still keep in contact?
Legit friend... I have to say is this lady called -avarice because she's the rice to my curry xD. We are both in the 'collab scene' and we started talking because... idk i think one day she just popped into my inbox and was like 'yo you sound drunk' or something. I have to track down our PM but i'm too lazy because that'll be a long while before i hit the start of everything.
13. How many fanfiction/thread(s) do you currently have? How many of them are complete?
22... and 10 of them are complete. 3 of them are on draft mode because... i have no idea why they're hidden actually...

hmmmmmmm I honestly have no complaints... yet.
25. If you could introduce just one feature on AFF, what would it be and why?
An easy option to put in background song on a chapter without having to bring outside embed code into the chapter editing window. I think that would be cool! And because then readers don't have to have another tab open (if the writer linked the accompanying song in the text) or the writer doesn't have to struggle with trying to upload/find the exact song they want from soundcloud/youtube.
26. If you could customize the way AFF appears to you, what color would it be? You could just pick one color or a palette.
I actually gonna answer with blue but aff is already blue so... a lighter shade of blue? xD
27. Who is/are your best friend(s) on AFF?
MY LME PALS! My singing buddies! and ofc the rice to my curry lololol
28. Who are the users you want to get to know better?
There was this one supercalifragilisticexpialedocious writer, and i really want to know her and what inspired her to create such amazing work so... yes i want to know the user 'soyjac' better.
29. Are you grateful/owe something to someone on AFF? Who and why?
Mel, Winny, and Zee for creating LME and opening up so many opportunities and passion in my life.
30. Who are your AFF inspirations?
Blu3wind because she's so dedicated in finishing all of her stories. ALL of her stories. ALL OF THEM.
31. If you could put a star on any of your fics/threads, which one would you pick?
my "12 Oneshots" one because i really racked over my brain and imagination to write all of those oneshots.
32. What is/are your all time favourite storie(s)/thread(s)?
I just realized i only ever have one kpop fic that i ever reread in my entire life of reading kpop fanfics and that is... (ok i just spent like 30 mins looking for the fic but it's GONE???) well basically it's a namjin drabble with an ending that punches you right on your heart like it literally took my breath away and im so in love with it and HOW CAN IT BE GONE????
and as for favourite thread... LME Entertainment main thread, of course xD

SOOOOOOOOOYJAAAAAAAAAC (please inform me if you ever really decided to publish the bts space adventure story into an original work)

Making friends so hardcorely we legit meet up in real life and even make meokbang video together XD

I FOUND MY VOICE! i rediscovered my love for singing and it nurtured my self confidence into thinking that even if i'm not good, i'm good enough for myself (deep).
And I found that i can like another group other than super junior lol (BTS im looking at u)
40. There are many communities now on AFF (such as the writing, designing, coding, applyfic, roleplay, reader communities). Is there a community that you aren't part of but want to try one time?
