For me, it's really hard writing for more than 1 story. If you have an idea, you can write it down somewhere first, finish your ongoing fic/s, then proceed to the next one. Best of luck!

If you're good at multitasking...why not you write the new story? ^^
Anyway, I feel you, dear.. I feel you. But if you're not confident enough and want to finish the ongoing one in the first place, maybe you can try to write the new story in your computer/notebook first? You know, like jotting down the ideas for the new one so that you won't forget them later. By the way, good luck with your stories!
