Update please.
Those two words are the words I hate the most about being an author.
I totally understand that you are anticipating the next chapter so badly and you can't wait, but when I put comments at the end of the previous chapter stating the reasons why I CANT UPDATE; you automatically piss me off. Thus, you have earned another week of waiting.
To all the readers who are not authors,
You don't understand what its like to create a story, to have to think of a plot and make sure it flows smoothly, to continue to improve your story, to have writers block along the way, and then lose movation to write. WRITING IS HARD.
I can't pump out chapters like other authors do these days. I am almost 22 years old, I am getting ready to move 35 miles away from home to live at a university that I have to spend ANOTHER 3 years at, to be going through midterms and exams, trying to "adult" and earn credit and learning about loan investments since I am about to be 35k in debt.
I HAVE OTHER THINGS TO DO AT THE MOMENT THAT DOES NOT INVOLVE THIS SITE.
Also,
After reading chapters, all you can manage to comment is "Update please!" is a total turn off to me. I want subbies to express their feelings in my comments about how they feel! That way I know what to work on for the next chapter. "Update please" means nothing but a generic reply of "Cool story".
For me to spend time and effort on something for YOU and all you have to respond is your greediness of me wanting to update soon- makes me want to permenantly unsub you from my story.
I may be overreacting, but unless you are NOT a writer; you won't understand unless you start writing. To all my writers, I am sure ALL understand those annoying two words.
