MY EXO CONCERT EXPERIENCE

Since I’ve seen so many highlights of the concerts on tumblr, I decided I’d write my personal highlights here instead because ya’ll know I was so excited for it.

So the night before the concert, I spent about five hours teaching my friend the members of EXO. She knew a lot of their songs, but couldn’t recognize any of the members. Literally, none. And after all five hours of watching every music video and the first episode of exo showtime I thought she was a hopeless case, because like honestly she could only pick out Kyungsoo because of me.

She had to come up with some ways to remember them, for instance “Chen with the chin,” Baekhyun wears eyeliner, Chanyeol is super tall, etc.

This is us when we began our trek to NY. I say trek, but we were only about two and a half hours away (I'm the one on the left btw).

Once we were in NY, my friend and I were already running late and then got stuck on the train to Newark for about 35 minutes (even though it was supposed to be 20 mins) and ended up running into the Prudential Center during Overdose. Overdose is def one of my favorite EXO songs and is actually my friend’s favorite song, so we were like adkghadkfj. It was alright though. We finally found our seats during History.

Now for the concert…

First thing's first, Kyungsoo is unbelievable live. I mean they are all amazing obviously, and I mean that, but there is something about Soo that is special to me. Okay, it could just be that I’m biased or that his voice is smooth like melting chocolate live and his runs are amazing and beautiful and he's perfect and I just love him okay?

The people around me definitely knew who my bias was because I literally screamed every time he moved and when I couldn’t scream, my friend helped and did it for me. He was just so wittle and sweet. My friend leaned over and called him a space cadet because he looks like he’s spacing out all the time (which to me means that he is just too cute for words) and he might space out sometimes but he is like so much more than that. He's beautiful.

As we were walking out of the concert a girl behind me was like “D.O was really good… even though I hate D.O though.”

I couldn’t tell if she was like joking but I was like OH HELL NAH and my friend was like “do you need me to hold your earrings so you an f some up?” (I didn’t actually say anything to her or get in a fight, don’t worry I wouldn’t do that lol.)

I got to see Baek, Soo, and Jongdae perform Miracles in December, which is probably my favorite song, with my Babysoo facing in my direction the whole time. Someone HELP.

Don’t mind the terrible quality and our conversation during the video, haha. My friend was trying to figure out who each member was the whole time. I don't remember what we are laughing about in the beginning though lolol.

Me: This is the one with the puppy [in the music video].
Friend: Thank god. Where’s the puppy!?
Me: Where’s the puppy?
Me: *sings*
Friend: Is that Chen?
Me: Yes.
Friend: And the other ones… Baekhyun?
Me: Yeah.
Friend: Alright, killed it.
Also my Friend: …He’s [Baekhyun's] not wearing eyeliner.
Me: He probably is.
Friend: I can’t tell.
Me: I’m sure they’re all wearing eyeliner.
Also Me: *zooms in on Kyungsoo totally by accident*

Next thing I have to point out is that Minseok was the life of the party. He was so cute, energetic, and totally into getting the crowd involved. I was really happy because he seemed like he was having so much fun because he was flying all over the stage and being really adorable. I loved every second of him. By the end of the night he became my friend’s bias and she can actually recognize him now haha. #DONTstopminseok2k16

Also, the cheering for Chanyeol was definitely the loudest and I didn't know he was so popular. Like obviously I knew he was popular because they all are, but I didn’t realize he was the most popular. At least it seemed like he was by the volume of the crowd everytime he did anything. I'm not complaining I'm just pointing out what I observed. He also talked the most because Junmyeon kept asking “Chanyeol how are you feeling?” and he could have probably talked for hours about nothing lol.

Eventually Baekhyun was like “Okay Chanyeol, you can stop talking now” and everyone flipped a nut because, ya know, Baekyeol.

Speaking of talking, Junmyeon talked in English the most. Soo didn't talk until the very end and when he did he didn't speak much English :( Probs cause he was so tired. He did ask us if we were hungry and then said they were going to finish the concert soon so we could all go eat dinner lol.

Sebaek was ALIVE. They are a ship I have never fully appreciated until recently, now I’m like dang those two are kinda sorta hot together. Sehun was playing with Baekhyun's hair and it was beautiful.

There weren’t really very many Kaisoo moments unfortunately. At least not any that I saw from where I was. Kyungsoo and Jongin were both fairly mellow, but the one thing I did get was the beginning of Peter Pan where they did some weird Michael Jackson thing together that they clearly attempted to plan, and then Jongin did some other weird dance with his leg. I recorded it and want to upload the video but I'm struggling big time at technology, I'll try later.

Just want to say that Baekhyun is CUTE. Holy . At some point Baek sang “We wish you Merry Christmas and a Happy New York” and that was just ugh, cute.

I wasn't sure if Jongin was going to have a dance solo, and he DID. And then Sehun did too! And they both did really well and I am more thirsty for Jongin than I already was tho. Jongin is as breathtaking in person as he is in photos, videos, etc. Plus I'm really happy because Sehun definitely shined throughout the entire concert, not even just during his dance solo.

People threw things on stage but I couldn't tell what anything was from where I was sitting. The boys didn't seem to mind though, I think they found it comical. You've probably seen the video where Suho got hit and Chanyeol dies of laughter while Jongin looks unimpressed (x).

And yes, they did have to tell the people on the floor to step back. The crowd was literally chanting "one step back."

Going into the concert I wasn’t expecting that much, honestly. I wasn’t sure if anything could live up to Big Bang because a Big Bang concert is literally a party and the bar was set pretty high. Before the concert I was just excited to see EXO in person and not on a screen (and accidently like maybe run into Kyungsoo and share a moment and fall in love and get married but like ya know my expectations weren’t that high).

But the concert was sooo much better than I expected. The energy was really good and the dancing was better than I thought it would be. I appreciate the entire group even more than I already did (which is a lot) and I think since I love EXO so much it was going to be good no matter what. I literally got my ticket three days before the concert and I’m really glad I ended up going.

So, do I miss the concert already?

Yes.

Do I want to see them again?

Yes.

Do I want to cuddle with every single member individually?

Yes.

Do I want to marry Kyungsoo?

Hell to the Yes.

Like I said, my seats weren’t the best but they could have been much worse. Those are pretty much the only good photos I got. I’m probably going to post my pictures/videos on tumblr later though.
