( style ) : if given the choice, jinae would love to spend the entire day at home in her comfy cartoon printed pajamas. however as a rising rookie actress, she leaves the house more than the time she spends at home. dependent on the type of the shoot, she chooses clothes that would be most suitable. For photoshoots she tends to choose shirt dresses or button downs that can be removed easily and wouldn't ruin her hair and make up. On other days she prefers going very simple with her clothing choices. this usually means printed sweat shirts or a simple t-shirt with a jacket paired with jeans or shorts.  She likes loose fitted clothing and also coats. Her fashion style is pretty similar to that of V of Bangtan. also as she has to wear heels most of the time during work, she doesn't wear them much in her free time.

( elaboration ) : jinae is a very bright and cheerful character who chooses to believe that there's a silver lining behind every dark cloud. She doesn't let people ruin her day or her mood and rather is the vitamin and the energy to every group of people she meets. She smiles and laughs very often and always has amazing reactions to things that entertain or amaze her. she doesn't let hate comments make her feel sad and instead the hate comments only reminds her that she has just as much people supporting and praising her.  jinae loves trying out new things, taking new paths and experiencing new tastes and smells. She loves walking near edges of tall buildings or cliffs and feelings the thrills that comes with roller coasters and bungee jumps. She loves posing new challenges to herself and is very passionate about the things she enjoys doing the most, acting. She is also passionate about the things she believes in and the feelings she has. She usually acts before she thinks when they are involved and would go out of her way to make sure the reason one of her closest friends is upset gets a taste of their own medicine. she's both lazy and clumsy so her room has become a danger zone for her with things all over the place and her tripping over everything that she seems to miss out of her sight. However she usually has one of those moments where she just cleans up the entire room, when this day happens her room is usually sparkling clean. she's possesive about the things she own and hates when someone gets on her bed especially when they haven't showered, her bed might just be the only place that is clean and neat at all times of the year. 

 

she tends to be a little tactless and usually can't read the emotions in the room which causes her to get weird looks all the time but more than not, the things that she says in the worst moments ends up causing everyone to crack up at how random it seems. she's also very stubborn about her opinions and barely changes it once it's set and she holds on to her things for a long time. this includes keeping things like old books or clothes that she doesn't wear anymore.

 

( background ) : jinae was born in jinhae and has lived there all her life. she's the youngest child to two older sisters and one older brother. she's especially close to her older brother being just barely a year apart from him. Compared to her brother, she's more distant to her sisters as they have a larger but is still close nonetheless. Oddly enough, she seemed to be the only who received her father's tall height gene while her siblings are all average or barely above average. although, 169cm is a very rare height for a female in jinhae.

 

her parents have always stressed multiple time on the importance of doing well in school and having skills such as the piano and dance so her school life has always been a thing of rushing from place to place at the same time spending the rest of her time in her room studying. To say the truth she didn't hate studying, she just heavily prefered acting. Everytime she watched a drama or a movie, she can't help but wish she could be in the position and see herself maybe even doing better than the actress herself.

 

When she was 15, she went to visit her brother who had just became a trainee in jyp and got casted when one of the casting managers saw her with him. She signed on to jyp as an actress after coming to an agreement with her parents. that agreement was that she would study high school in seoul while training and do so well that she could get into one of the SKY universities (Seoul, korea and yonsei). IF she did she could pursue the acting career she wanted and she did, getting into seoul university. She participated in some small commercials and music videos but debut on dramas in a supporting role right after graduation. Following the acceptance in the university she gradually started to do more dramas and even movies.

they meet as often as they can considering they are the only family they have in seoul. He spoils and protects her and is extra suspicious of any guys she hangs around even if she says that they're just friends. he is her listening ear and is the one she goes to for advice and even just simply comfort. Likewise, he tells her about his problems and there's no awkwardness even talking about love. they were each other's best friends growing up and despite the crazy fights they had, they wouldn't trade the other for anyone in the world.

 

 

Wonwoo might just be the only guy that Jinyoung allows around jinae without a hint of suspicion. he believes that wonwoo has seen so much of jinae that he's so sick and tired that romance with her would be the last thing in her mind. truth be told, jinyoung is on a total wrong track. wonwoo has always liked her, for as long as he can remember, safe for the fickle moments in elementry school. at this point wonwoo is too afraid to do anything, the worst part is that jinae had dated one of his closest friends. wonwoo doesn't try hard around her, he's quiet and lowkey but he's been with her every step of the way and she is grateful for his calming presence all the time.  he's currently a rookie actor just like jinae.

mingyu looks like he could crush you with ease with his long limbs and towering height but in honesty, he'll probably fall on you before he could do anything like that. He get's teased and pushed around playfully and is loud and cheerful, a total opposite to what he looks like. he like jinae says some pretty questionable things.
 

( meeting ) : when jinae moved to seoul in 2010 and enrolled into the her new school, she sort of made a little buzz around the school for her looks. though at that point she didn't understand it as everyone in jinhae didn't react to her like that. it just so happened that she transferred into the middle school where mingyu was in. at that point, mingyu was barely going through puberty and somehow everything about he just seemed so enchanting to her. when she joined the drama club he was in, he couldn't be more elated but he never got the courage to talk to her. to him it was already amazing that she could remember his name and face. jinae greeting him and wishing him good luck at her graduation ceremony felt like a dream for him. 

 

 

( the past ) : after months of (blushing) courtship from kim mingyu, the two ended up dating. jinae at 17 and mingyu at 15. Mingyu was absolutely infatuated with her to no end, despite the fact that they were dating, he was nervous to hold her hand everytime and barely was able to look into her eyes at times. she found his every reaction so adorable and kept on doing things to knowing that this was the only time she could before he grew more comfortable around her. as he started to get comfortable he started becoming more playful and affectionate, initiating skinship and saying sweet things that has her heart fluttering for him. to say the truth this comfortable sight of him had her feelings for him changing very quickly from affection to love. despite being younger, he felt very dependable and could tell whenever she had problems and would ask if she wanted to talk about it. if she didn't he just simply hugged her and everything just felt like it became better. she was his vitamin and he was hers.

 

in early 2014, over a year after they started to date, mingyu suddenly started to act a little weird. He was pretty down most of the time and when she asked he didn't want to say anything. yet jinae trusted him and wanted to wait until he was ready to share whatever problems he had, to her dismay, he never did. her company had decided to move the trainees closer to the new company building and so that meant they were moving away from each other. jinae barely had the time then to check her phone and spend time with him. her exams were coming up and she had to deal with moving and everything. When she finally had the time to call him after a week of rushing, his first words were 'let's break up' and he ended the call then. those words broke her for awhile. but she knew where he goals was, she put her heartbroken feelings aside and focused on studying for university.

 

truthfully, mingyu had no choice but to do it, he was preparing to act in his first movie as well as a important character in several dramas and his company already knew that he was dating and told him that he needed to end his relationship as soon as possible. it was dangerous to his career as an rookie actor. He knew that no matter how much he loved her, he couldn't give up his dream for her and so he did it, after much trouble speaking. to say he cried that night was an understatement.

 

( present ) : she avoids him as much as she can. they've met once or twice on dramas they were both in as side characters but they never had to act together. When she's around he grows pretty quiet but jinae tries to pretend that she isn't affected by his presence and instead become brighter and sometimes clumsier. 

 

when she found out that the male lead she was acting with in her drama was mingyu, her first instinct was to reject the offer. But she knew better than to reject her first lead role, especially when the script writer was going to be one who has had several major hits under her belt. she knew better than to reject it. when they had their first script reading,  the two had acted well despite the awkward tension that they had before hand. when the team went out for their first ever dinner before the first shoot, the two had been forced to talk alone by the director and pds who could feel the awkward tension from miles away.

 

eventually mingyu was the first to speak up and his first thought was to explain the reason that he broke up with her and that he knew the way he did was that of a huge jerk. this left their relationship in a very vague place as she couldn't hate him but she didn't know how to act around him. she knew she wasn't fully over him but she couldn't forgive him so easily either despite the heart fluttering business in her heart. she wishes she had the heart to tell him to get lost especially considering how big of a jerk he was when they broke up but everytime she looks at him she gets all soft and those words becomes the last thing on her mind.

 

 

he started to court her for the second time and he's still trying to get her to be comfortable around him. let's just say, she's gonna be a tough nut to crack, especially when she already has him wrapped around her finger at this stage.
