Dakota happens to be one of those observant friends that can tell when you're feeling down and at the same time know the reason for it. Dakota is not a person that has the ability to cheer a person up but rather, she will definitely stay by your side until you feel much better. Dakota is never one of those who will leave you hanging and will always support you in whatever choices you make as long as long as they are morally right.

background. Dakota was born in los angeles, california in 1996 and has made the state her home for about 15 years. However, if you would to take away the months that she spent in China, taiwan and Japan with her parents, you'll be missing a few years.
Her parents had her when they were about 30 years old and established as professionals. Her father, a doctor spends several weeks abroad in countries like phillippines and the different countries all over africa that require proffessional health care. He is the owner of a large Non-profit organization and spends most of his time when he is in the US raising funds to help more people. But like a promise, he had set aside the month of june of every 1-2 years to spend time with her in Japan, most of the times without her mother, and to visit his own parents. The two actually have very similar names so her mother like to call them hiro when they are together.
Her mother is an established real estate agent in The US and spends alot of the time travelling all over Los Angeles. When it comes to the Sundays however, she makes sure that if possible, the family will always spend the day together. Dakota and her mother have a relationship even closer than her relationship with her father. The two spends several weeks in China and taiwan going to different destinations and meeting up with some relatives and of course her own parents.
When the 2011 japan earthquake striked japan, she had been in one of the most affected regions together with her father. Thankfully to her father's experience he got them to safety together, but ever since that experience, she has started to get scared of water and even waves.
In 2012, she auditioned for Pledis after discovering that kpop might just be the best place for her to express herself. So after completing middle school she moved to korea on her own.

Bunnies: Dakota actually has 5 bunnies in total. When she was 8 she first got a brown American fuzzy lop and a grey holland lop when she was 12. Her mother, who too loved bunnies, wanted her to leave the bunnies in Los Angeles afraid it would be too big of a burdern on Dakota. When she turned 16, she couldn't resist adopting any bunnies due to how she was so used to caring for them so she got a mini lop and a dwarf hotot. Recently, she adopted a britannian petite after learning how to care for them properly.
history and culture: unlike most her age, she has a great intrest in the histories of countries as well as their culture, thus why she loves to go on trips all over countries. To her it doesn't matter how many times she goes to different sites, as she matures it feels like she discovers more and more new things and feelings about the sites and the events so she never fails to feel excitement when she gets to visit such places.
photography: Due to how many places she has gone, she started to pick up on photography to capture the places and the moments she experienced so over the years her intrest and love for photography just increased until how much it is today.
Tea: Just like her love for history and culture, she has a love for things that people her age shuns, in this case tea. Whether its english teas, chinese teas or any other tea She just love them. To her it doesn't matter the tea is mild or strong, bitter or sweet she finds that the different tea makes he feel different things and should be drunk according to your mood.
Trophies and medals: Dakota has been doing martial arts for a very long time now and has participated in many many competitions whether its for a single art or a mixed martial art competition. Whenever she wins a competition she gets very excited for days and cares for them all the best she can by cleaning them weekly. But of course most of them are back in Los Angeles, She joined some competitions in Korea too even without a representative martial arts club.
skinship: to dakota, skinship is definitely the best way to connect with someone and cheer someone else up so she tends to do it alot. when she is down or upset, a simple hug with someone she is close with is enough to keep her going throughout the day. She also likes to hold hands with people as she is walking from place to place.
performing: rather than the love of singing or dancing, dakota choose to become an idol purely because of her love for performing. she wants to be able to stand on stage and become the one that inspires people's dreams, the one that encourages them to keep chasing that amazing dream and the one that will stand with them when they finally acheive that dream.

sketching: when she gets really inspired to create something, she ends up sketching a lot on scrapbooks she has at home. She's no artist but her sketches are actually really accurate and beautiful, but she doesn't make them into solid artworks usually just opting to leaving them as sketches because she thinks it how raw it is that makes it beautiful.
blogging: instead of using social media, she prefers blogging. It's a little ironic but to her blogging is alot deeper because you aren't restricted to 140 characters and instead people who really care are the ones who bother to read blogs.

It was her last words to Dakota before she broke the news to Dakota about her acceptance to Seoul University as a film student, studying to become a movie producer. The two did the craziest of ideas together whether it be at home or at training.

When he brought the things to her dorm, the Jimin and Dakota met and their attraction to each other was impeccable. The two never stopped meeting up throughout the year that they knew each other but Jimin ended up getting busier and busier for his debut and so did Dakota. When jimin debuted, he avoided being spotted out in public with any females and couldn't possible invite Dakota over to his dorm so they ended up drifting apart. Personality-wise the two are pretty similar to each other, both sporting the motherly aura and being the most affectionate people ever. Jinyoung unlike Dakota would actually be pretty quick to forget about the problems and things like, anger. He will also be very quick to apologise when he makes a mistake unlike dakota who would ponder over it for days before deciding if she was going to apologise.
history. They first met when she went to Mark's debut showcase and they greeted each other backstage after congratualating Mark on his debut. After that she met the boys several times and also got close to the other members but somehow, Jinyoung and Dakota never really did get as close as she was with the other members. Dakota suspects that this was caused by Jackson's comment on how Dakota was practically the female jinyoung, the two didn't end up talking much feeling a little more than awkward around each other.
jackson couldn't stand how awkward the two were by the 4th time they met and instead wanted to make them get closer but of course, mark was all agaisnt that idea. "are you kidding me, are you really gonna stand watching that two act like akward penguins every single time they meet?" jackson retorted, which cause mark to be unable to answer him. he let out a deep sigh before he went over to where dakota was and whispered in her ear.
"you should escape before jackson catches you. wang approaching in 3..... 2....1, run!" he ended his sentence with a scream in her ear making her jump from the sudden volume. "oh my god, what the heck mark." she said as she blocked her ear hoping to regain her hearing while running towards bambam.
"save me." she whispered before going to hide behind bambam as jackson started to run in her direction. she didn't understand it but she knew she wanted to run from him at all costs.
"bambam please move aside, we have to make awkward penguins return back to being sane humans." jackson said as he tried to catch dakota between the small areas he could bypass bambam's defense. "i am not a awkward penguin, i am only and will always be an awkward bunny stop trying to grab this bunny." she said as she skillfully avoided all his attempts to grab her. her sentence made the entire room burst out in laughter.
jackson eventually got a hold of her arm and brought her to seat down being seated face to face with jinyoung, held to his chair by jb. "now, talk." jackson said as he pushed their chairs closer. the two started to blush the moment their eyes met but never said a word to each other.
"ermm, what is happening between them?" Yugyeom said to youngjae as they watched the reddening ears. Youngjae simply smiled in reply to Yugyeom.
after that day, the two had started to talk to each other because of jackson's insistence that they get the others number in their phone. jackson would always ask jinyoung if he had talked to her today and in some way talking to her through kakaotalk became more a joy to him than something jackson told him to do. he couldn't deny how talking to the other as the all rounder of their own groups made them able to connect and understand each other better.

trainee life. She was intialy discriminated agaisnt because people thought she got into the company by her looks and had not much talent. To prove these people wrong and to even exceed their expectation she worked very very hard in her practices and eventually got to debut before many others.
after completing middle school she decided to not attend high school and instead just take her entrance exams when she was old enough so this allowed her to have more time for practice and she even did some acting practice and got to do a few events pre-debut.

Mark's Girlfriend | a few weeks prior to debut, she was spotted with Mark as he was bringing her to his dorm as got7 has planned a surprise party to congratulate her for her debut but it was mistaken that Mark brought his girlfriend to his dorm. There was rumors about her identity but no one confirmed it nor could her face be clearly seen since she had a blindfold on.
Jinyoung + kota? | The two had to film a commercial together at the beach and due to her trauma, she got really scared and even started to cry when she was there. Jinyoung, being jinyoung, wrapped her in his arm and comforted her there and then. People took pictures of what happened at then there were dating speculation about the two. At that point it was true already but Pledis and Kota wanted to deny it at all cost so they just exposed kota's past trauma and said that the two only had a close oppa-dongsaeng relationship.
