I came across this line a few weeks ago and it made me think real hard. And I realized that I've done this to myself too many times to even count.

I get worked up about what someone else thinks or says about me, playing the conversations over and over in my head (for hours on end), wishing I'd redeemed myself if only I'd said this or that.

And all the while I'm doing this, that other person doesn't even have a damn clue I'm even thinking this way.

It's toxic, letting these types of people live in your head, controlling what you think and do.

Your head is meant to be filled with nothing but wonderful, happy thoughts. So only fill it with people who really deserve that space.
