College Life

 

Okay so today was my second day back in college and I’m already stressing the fudge out. Like I understand its college and we have to be responsible, but some teachers go over the top with the amount of work they give us. I mean its barely the second day and I already have assignments do this week. I haven’t even gotten my books yet.

 

I told myself I would stay more focused this semester, but I’ll probably end up giving up in a few weeks. Laziness is my best friend:) If anyone else is in college you feel my pain. To make matters worse I wont be able to write as much since I will be doing homework most of the time. Lets see how long I last before I go insane with all this stress.

 

Also since I do go to a community college my classes aren’t that big which is a good thing and a bad thing. The bad thing is that we have to introduce ourselves and I absolutely hate it. I get so nervous and my anxiety goes through the roof. I also hate presenting in front of the class. Public speaking is not my thing, I’m sure a lot of you can relate.

 

Haha sorry I just needed to rant and get it out of my system.

 

How do you deal with the college life? (If you go to college or school in general).

Always pick a class where you are interested in. Most of the classes I choose during my Freshman year were required classes. I did not enjoy them because I had no interest in the material.
Also, learn to balance your time. If you can only take three classes, it's okay. Just know that if you take four classes, if you can't handle the work, you may have to repeat the course if you end up with a grade lower than a C. I know for some major's if you get below something you have to repeat it because it's a prerequisite.
Most of my professors tend to give no homework at all, but this quarter I was at the short end of the stick and was bombarded with so many group discussions and homework.

haha, i'm in my 2nd year and I still haven't gotten through my COM101. I at public speaking lol, but it got better due to so many presentations and group discussions.
The group work in college made highschool's partner up thing look like a cakewalk.

I have dealt with college life for 4 years now and I'm telling you, at first ofc it's not easy (we were also asked to introduce ourselves on the first day for every subject btw so i feel you. haha) the first time is always the hardest. But once you get the hang of it and make friends then it will be bearable :)
