Kim Seyeon was born in Daegu, South Korea, nineteen years ago to a bit of a broken family/into harsh conditions. She was born at thirty-two weeks and was in the NICU for weeks. She suffered from heart problems, but thankfully avoided surgery. Due to her early birth, thoguh, she's always had a hard time gaining weight. In any case, her family was going through a hard time- Her father was always working, her mother was near death after the harsh pregnancies of her two children, and her older brother nearly went blind after a pot fell and cut his eye.

Their grandmother took the two in from the beginning, and raised them as best she could, teaching them respect and how to love. They were somewhat spoiled, but not in the they-get-everything-they-want kind of way, more in the I-live-well-and-enjoy-it kind of way, if that makes sense. There were many trips to the zoo, a lot of help with homework, and a few trustworthy friends. It was this time that Seyeon began to ice skate competitively. She always loved to ice skate and even took lessons, and her teacher found her ready. She skated competitively for all of her time in Daegu, winning many competitions, and when she was eight, she won the nationals. Seyeon's older brother, Kibum, adored her to bits, and she did everything that he did- Including singing, dancing, and rapping. It was Kibum who got her interest into these things, and when he was accepted into SM Entertainment, Seyeon knew that she had to become an idol. They moved to Seoul so Kibum wouldn't have to commute. After this, Seyeon immediately started to work on her skills, even getting a dance teacher to help her improve.

When her brother debuted, Seyeon was there to watch, and was absolutely dazzled with his debut song, Replay. To this day, that's the very first song she listens to when she gets up, every morning. Seyeon was scouted by many companies (JYP, YG, Jellyfish, NG, and more) but none were SM and none felt quite right. She struggled quite a bit during the junction between middle and high school- Did she go to a performing arts school? Or a normal high school? The decision was tough, but in the end Seyeon chose to attend Youngpa Girls' High School. Seyeon wasn't surprised when, one day walking home, someone walked up to her with a card saying, "I want you in this company I work for"or whatever he said. What she was surprised about was it's company- Woolim.

Woolim was a company directly connected to SM, and if she joined Woolim she could be transferred. Imagine her disappointment when she learned she was only scouted for her looks, though. Even still, she worked hard to not only do well as a trainee, but to keep her grades up and make friends. Even still, it was hard for her to live in an unfamiliar city, with her brother always busy. Her mother was always getting sick and she'd always have to head back to care for her when she hadn't a single want to. It was even worse when, last year, her grandmother passed away. She cried for days and refused to leave her room, no matter who came to visit her. She eventually picked herself up, and continued to work as hard as she could, even making it into Seoul National University, majoring in the engineering department, and being in the music department for her minor.

Kim Seyeon is a very excitable person. Every little thing excites her to no end- Going out to eat, meeing new people, anything and everything makes her happy and squeal-ly. On reality shows she's absolutely charming to everyone when they see how excited she gets. Seyeon is humorous, and her sense of humor expands to everyone- Dry, sarcastic humor, dumb puns, math and science jokes- Basically everything and anything. Seyeon seriously can make anyone laugh with little trouble- She's just that kind of person. She's imaginative of where she can be in ten years time, and constantly thinks of the future. This girl can dream herself up in anything, and then gets there. Her imagination is her greatest tool, as her grandmother always told her- That, and her ability to adapt to any situation. Seyeon can change her attitude, expression, tone of voice, whatever in a split second to make herself fit whatever situation it is that she's in. She can comform her personality to whatever it needs to be.

 

This girl is quite flirty. It's a natural thing, skinship and suggestive lines. She's known to be the most social with her fans in A1, because she has no problem holding their hands, kissing them on the cheek, having half-an-hour long conversations full of sweet, cute lines that can make any guy or girl (And anything in between) swoon. It's a natual ability that many people are jealous of. Seyeon is quite eccentric, which tends to weird people out. She has quite off behavior, like practicing dancing at three in the morning, or only eating ice cream if it has strawberry sauce on the side (Not on it- In a little container or bowl that she can sip out of before she /takes a bite out of the ice cream). She's interested in weird things like elephant reproduction ((Please excuse these weird things)) and how ants make their colonies. Seyeon is quite unconventional, which makes her all the more fun.

 

Seyeon is highly unpredictable. You never know if she'll like pasta one day but not the next, or has absolutely random moodswings- Like on the day she was told she's debuting with A1, she was totally happy and excited but then a few hours later she was going to kill whoever spoke to her. But Seyeon can also have the craziest, most fun ideas ever. It's quite interesting, this unpredictability. She's often referred to as a "Wildcard" because you never know what you'll get- So be prepared for a lot of emotions. This girl cries at everything, seriously. Seyeon can't help it, it's just so natural for her. Seyeon can easily change her mood depending on one little thing, so she can get a bit troublesome in that aspect. Still, her emotional self is found to be quite endearing to many.

Seyeon tends to be a very critical person. She critcizes whatever she sees, no matter who or what it is. She's not afraid to tell people, either. She points out every single flaw, there's no exceptions- Even when it comes to her higher-ups. She normally only plays respectful when playing idol. This girl is absolutely awful when it comes to repecting people, and adamantly continues her unacceptable behavior- It's a wonder she hasn't been kicked out of school or Woolim yet. She's very innapropriate, in more ways that one. She makes jokes at the exact wrong times, and it totally erted all the time- She's always making really ual jokes, and it's not rare for her to one of her Unnies' for fun because they hate it.

She is very untrustworthy- She's not the type to keep secrets unless it's from the internet/netizens/that kind of thing. Seyeon's never been a faithful girlfriend, and you simply can't expect any loyalty from this girl- And it's a direct result of her grandmother's death. After all, why would you be trustworthy when the person you trusted and loved most died on you? She knows it's bad, but she can't help it. Unfortunately, these flaws make Seyeon really unconfident with herself- This girl thinks that she's really not that great, she's unconfident with her abilites, and Seyeon is simply afraid she'll be the worst in every situation- After all, isn't her singing simply passable? She doesn't stand out and thus believes she doesn't deserve to believe in herself.

Grandmother | Deceased | Warm, supportive, wise | Kim Yoora | Seyeon's grandmother was the one who raised her- After she and her brother were born, their mother was ill, and their father worked. She always supported and loved her grandchildren, and never gave up on them, even when Seyeon made bad desicions and said awful things. Even now that she's gone, Seyeon knows that her grandmother loves her and her brother more than anything in the world, and because of this she holds on and will never give up.

Mother | Alive | Hurried, helpful, friendly | Kim Hana | Hana and her daughter have never truly gotten along. These two were never able to create a bridge between them after Hana wasn't able to raise her children. They call each other maybe once or twice every six months.

Father | Alive | Strict, workaholic, intelligent | Kim Haneul | Haneul never got along with Seyeon, and never will. He could have raised her and her brother, but instead chose work and thus Seyeon has chosen to never forgive him- And she reminds him of this. Their relationship is poisionous at best, Seyeon always insulting Haneul and repeatedly denying he could ever be her father, while Haneul wants to cut her off and disown her for her disrespecful, ty behavior.

Older brother | Alive | Sweet, cheerful, snarky, busy | Kim Kibum | Idol (SHINee) | Kibum and Seyeon are unbelievably close. Their understanding, their bond is hard to describe because it's so uniquely them. These two have a closeness that exceeds what people think possible- With one look, a small touch, they've had a whole conversation. A simple glance can tell the other's mood. They're always calling or texting if they're not face-to-face, because Seyeon needs constant contact with him to know something hasn't happened. So many things happen to idols while they're working, it terrifies her that her brother could be the next injured, the next dead- But Kibum does all that he can to soothe her fears, and to care for the child he helped his grandmother raise. Whenever the two meet, they shop or go to Seyeon's apartment to cook a meal- And, actually, it's Kibum who pays for his sister's apartment (Just to make sure she doesn't end up in a beat-up place with mold). Even though she keeps asking him not to, he'll always support Seyeon finacially, emotionally, and mentally. Seyeon doesn't tend to get sick or hurt often, which is something that Kibum's grateful for. Something that surprises a lot of people though, is that they duo like to banter. They also like to dance and rap together, because come on, if your sibling could dance and rap wouldn't you want to do it together? Seyeon and Kibum do have their fights though, even if they're few and far between. It does take some time to forgive in thee situations, mostly because it has to do with Kibum discouraging Seyeon to be an idol. The life is hard as hell- He doesn't want his sister to have to go through it. He still supports hers, but he'd feel much better if she just went to college and got a safer, less-exhausting job. But, no matter what, nothing could tear these two apart, because they love each other too much.

Now that crush has waned, she could definitely still see herself dating him, but she'd rather stay just friends. Seyeon's always at his concerts and is constantly visiting him during his radio show, Blue Night. They're often eating at Seyeon's apartment after cooking together, or having fun sleepovers, but SM Entertainment doesn't really appreciate the high scandal risk, so they've been giving Jonghyun more and more work so he stays away, tyhough it doesn't really stop them. They have an understanding and friendship that's beyond words, really.

Iseul was a high-ranking model suffering from scandals left and right- Nearly all of which were true. Smoking, drunk driving, sleeping around, Iseul has never cared about being safe, instead pushing it to the back burner and focusing on fun. After she got knocked up, though, her contract was terminated and she had to focus on having a healthy child. Iseul, at age twenty-two, had a baby boy she named Jeong, whom Seyeon is the godmother of. Seyeon loved to visit Iseul's apartment to play with Jeong, and in order to help her out, left her apartment and moved in with the two.

- Individual talent is ice skating. She wanted to do it competitively for years.
- She used to date Woohyun of Infinite (Beginning of 2013), but their relationship quickly became strained because of his job of an idol, as well as the age difference. They had a messy breakup after about four months, which Woohyun now wants to rekindle as friendship (And he tries really hard), but Seyeon rejects him repeatedly.
- She has a pet hognose snake named Benny. He likes to pretend he's mad and/or play dead. He's pretty young~
- She has a habit of blinking a lot when she's upset
- Seyeon likes the nicknames Yeonnie and Ice Cream Monster the most.
- She's a horror game fanatic! Her favorite RPG are Blank Dream and Misao, while Outlast and Until Dawn are her favorite overall.
- She wants to dye her hair pale pink
- Seyeon doesn't really like cartoons
- But anime is amazing. Along with manga.
- She has ten piercings per ear~

- Seyeon loves to hang out with her brother. It's literally her favorite thing to do.

How did they meet?

Seyeon and Taemin met years ago, back a few months before SHINee's debut. Seyeon had demanded that she meet the people that her brother would spend the next however-many years of his life working with, and thus one day before practice, Kibum invited the four boys over to their home. Immediately, being the lovely younger sister she is, Seyeon questioned each and every one of them about their families, lives, and basically anything else she found important at the time. Once they had all passed her "test," Seyeon latched onto the two oldest, Jonghyun and Jinki, claiming they were absolutely beautiful human beings who should be praised by the entire world, which just...Kibum literally was so embarassed he left the room. Seyeon then proceeded to feed them, so it was all just very emotionally exhausting for just about everyone that day. But Seyeon all but ignored Taemin, even though they were fairly close in age, which annoyed him. He eventually got over it.

Taemin and Seyeon are totally skinship-y pieces of crap- AKA, they're totally adorable lovey-dovey. Like, always cuddling, holding hands, kissing, etc., always saying cheesy lines like "I like you the best," and "I love you because you're you." Yup, they're those people. They're always texting or calling- And I mean always. Only when they're asleep or when Taemin's performing or filming or something is when they're not texting or calling. They may have a bit of a gap, but they don't mind it even if others do. Of course, they do have their fights like any other- Normally about Taemin's constant schedules or Seyeon's confidence issues- Taemin is always telling Seyeon that she's the most beautiful, absolute most intelligent, totally amazing girl, but that really just makes her upset, even though she tries to not let it. Taemin does get angry about it, because what he says about her is true. Taemin does what he can to let her know she's loved and appreciated. Seyeon does like effort, but...Anyway, they do sleep together, as they have since Seyeon was eighteen, but this is maybe once a month at best since they're always busy. Unfortunately, they've kept this a secret from everyone, including Seyeon's brother Kibum- Taemin's bandmate. They're completely afraid that he won't support them, and Taemin' feels like for dating has best friends' baby sister- Isn't that against the damn best friend code? It's a ty situation, seriously. But no matter what, these two love each other.
