Response to Hiirah

I like you Hiirah and I hope this conversation doesn't make us awkward after....Anyway, I've written a response regarding your post: 'Disappointed with MAMA 2015' which slightly offended me so here is what I have to say:

You said that the rest of the 2ne1 members should have performed Hello Bi+ches with CL....blah blah blah

But "Hello Bi+ches" is CL's Solo song which is only a single to her main American Debut album not yet released so why would the rest of the 2ne1 members sing it with her? That doesn't make sense. The only reason Sistar made a new version of Ma Boy for four people is b/c they didn't think it would become so popular and thought they could drag it to Sistar's name and not only Sistar19. Also, it's a technique for Soyu&Dasom to have as much exposure to the public as Bora&Hyorin. Beside I think it built up the anticipation (since people really thought only CL was performing) and the surprise waiting in the next few minutes once all members did appear to sing 'Fire' and 'I Am the Best' (the songs that incorporated all 2ne1 members).

And tbh I don't see how worrying for Bom to be banished for life to be a "complete overreaction". If you know Bom, you'd know that she's very sensitive and fragile (she admitted it herself in Roommate S1) and would often feel insecure about herself; crying a lot. The fact that a huge blow of hates were directed at her and the other members surely made her feel sorry for tarnishing 2ne1's image and could have potentially made her gave up on being an artist (out of fear for not knowing if she could handle the negative response she may receive if she does come back). I mean there was no news about her at all for a whole year and suddenly the others were having their own individual schedules. It was terrifying for me especially since it implied a possibility for 2ne1 to have broken up.

Their appearance in MAMA2015 should not be taken lightly and I think YG did very well for shutting the "annoying" fans up (xD humor was intended for that! b/c I love all you BlackJacks! and the several posts of self-dissing ourselves through our timelines and dashboard is hilarious to me). It does not mean this "nothing" you speak of. We don't really know if Bom is 100% ready to come back and face the public regularly b/c whether she wanted it or not her scandal will be trailing behind her tail. Also, YG has already announced CL's solo debut in America, he can't just pull her back especially since she's signed to another agency. What about the fans who are anticipating for her debut? He'll clearly have money loss if he takes CL back like no deal happened between him and CL's other agency. 2ne1's comeback have to be planned well and decided not only by him, but by all 2ne1 members and business people he works with.

Further, you only criticized PSY for treating "the end of the year award show" as a comeback stage but what about BTS who released 'RUN' on it??? And he's clearly a very influencial artist of KPOP, he was the final guest of honour which is a relevant fact imo. If the KPOP industry wants to expand even more of its "horizon", all they can do for now is bet on PSY and hope he gets as much attention worldwide like the time Gangnam Style "erupted".

It's like having a guest speaker in pep-rallies who have to be there to explain some type of significance about themselves. In this case, PSY's success through awesome songs&performances.

Now about iKON, @antiheroine was upset about some BTS fans trash talking iKON and said this: "ARMYs asking when will iKON retire but iKON has more #1 awards as them and it only took 2 months". It's a fact. So I don't get why you think YG is exaggerating about iKON's slayage. Their song "My Type" hit 18 melon roofs.

Did you not see the stats?

1. BIGBANG (Solos Included // 18 songs) - 231

2. iKON (1 Song ) - 18

3. BEAST (5 Songs) - 16

4. EXO (5 Songs) - 15

5. 2AM (2 Songs) - 2

With their debut song, they beat so many sunbaes and immediately claimed 2nd place for Most Melon Roof Hits. And they're a rookie group too! This is an amazing accomplishment. Then right after even Rhythm Ta and Apology hit the roofs. Already took 5 music award show wins (and 2 which was ripped off from them by mnet-.- like the excuse that they didn't perform so they don't get the award; altho many other artists have done the same thing, and the win from last week which was supposed to be theres since they won mnet voting poll, #1 digital sales, #3 for physical sales, #1 downloads and top 5 for the other sections--but they weren't there to perform so I guess mnet wanted to be sassy again and not hand it over) but okay....tbh iKON is doing more than well for a rookie and YG doesn't need to exaggerate since the statistics and facts are already proving iKON to be a group worth watching out for.

They've been really busy too ever since they debuted...back-to-back flights; always packed schedules. They need to rest but they know they can't if they want to live up to people's expectations, and respond to haters who says they're not all that (it sickens me that haters' wish are being prioritized too like ). Give them a break. They can barely be their easy-going selves without fearing of attracting bashers. I kinda missed it when they weren't put on the spotlight yet and I could see them joking around, feeling free. Those days~

Lastly, all Taeyang did was state the obvious; clearly, empty chairs.... And I believe Taeyang was sincerely disappointed b/c seriously this year's MAMA should have been a very memorable one for them especially since they would have to enlist soon and probably felt lonely seeing those deserted seats. Beside they probably felt less appreciated since barely anyone was there to congratulate them. I blame MAMA for this issue though since they did delay the time of the award show, but it doesn't stop BigBang from feeling sad and alone at that moment. I remember them saying as well in a show that after a concert (where there's no after party) they'd just go to their respective rooms and feel empty. I really wish BigBang gets a celebration they deserve with all their friends soon. V.I.Ps want them to be happy after all where they can just be themselves without all the stress burdening them.

Other than these points, I agree w/ what you said about Gary and F(x).

And I think that's it....note: the purpose of this is to explain my perception on the matter and was not in any way to insult you or your opinion. Hopefully, you will take this as a professional discussion just like how I am doing and if you feel like writing something back, you are very much free to do so.

the boys have been promoting non stop on their part 2 album, if you check their instagram and twitter they left hidden hints and messages as the whole album are kinda like exo's exodus if you've been taking part in that sherlock holmes chaotic mess xD After the release of part 1, bts released an epilogue video, events that happened before the mv 'i need you' in their part 1 album. Run is a continuation of the 'i need you' song and the whole album is a big fat story of murder and death and whatnot. lol i know this doesnt make sense if you're a non bts fan but yeah.

5) okay i am not opposed to the fact that ikon is won the rookie award or quite possible the fact that they're a rising rookie. i'm opposed to the fact that the winner for the female rookie group didn't get to perform like ikon. like i said YG can act elitist over sending Ikon to a regular music show during the year, but has no problems with them taking up 10 minutes at an end of year award show from the same program. it's kinda unfair tbh as twice is doing such a great job as a group. and i think it makes sense that ikon is a fast growing rookie and they have a bigger fanbase, as most the members are for the 'who is next to win' show from 2013(?) and from that they already garnered a lot of fans. i admit they're really talented, (b.i and bobby, idk much about the rest) but it's true that they had more of an advantage in winning as a rookie. but thats not the point. the point is twice didn't get to perform even tho ikon got to perform. #iamsad

6) regarding taeyang, yeah i true believe that he was genuinely sad if you read my blog post before. allkpop is jsut twisting his words to create a war. i truly believe that taeyang wanted to celebrate with as many artists as possible since it's a big award for them and they're not going to be having a comeback as a whole group anytime soon TT_TT

hey, lol i think it's actually pretty healthy that we're debating like this. as i have stated in my previous blog; it's a repost i took from a blog which summed up my thoughts.

1) i stated that it would be a lot more understandable if cl had released her solo at some stage earlier this year, and then 2NE1 came out to join her to help her sing her solo as a special group version. and i only stated this wasn't bcs i was opposed to the performing at mama, but more to the fact they they didn't quite earn their performance time with how absent they've been. i'm saying that it's more right to give other groups, like red velvet or twice the air time performance as they made a comeback and promoted hard this year. i wouldn't really mind 2ne1 performing as long as other groups are treated the same. you know what i mean?

2) Lol i'm confused, i think we misunderstood each other. i meant like, how a lot of netizans and other people saying she shouldn't have performed, that she should self reflect her drug scandal and just banish from the kpop industry; is a complete overreaction. people are taking it way out of proportions. it's quite ridiculous actually. she had a drug scandal, doesn't necessarily mean she should be banised from the kpop industry. sure i guess people are mad that she performed with her drug scandal still unsettled but why blame her? YG is the one pulling the strings here.

3) i think fans are mad at the way he said it 'no plan for a comeback' but sure he planned them to perform at mama. the was yg said no plan as if there's really nothing in store for them, like none at all. we don't know whether they'll come back next year or 5 years later and i guess that angered some fans as yg kinda trolled them with the surprise.

4) imo, it's different for bts. their 'run' single is from their 'the most beautiful moment in life part 2' and they've already released their 'the most beautiful moment in life part 1' earlier this year. cont-
