=NOTE: This is all my opinion about Lu Han's album/song list. I DON'T INTEND TO HATE ON HIM BECAUSE I AM NOT CAPABLE OF DOING SO. I LOVE THAT GUY TO PIECES. THERE ARE JUST INSTANCES WHEREIN I WISH HE CAN DO BETTER ESPECIALLY WITH HIS SINGING CAREER BECAUSE I LOVE SINGING LU THE MOST.=

Can someone please tell Lu to think over his music choices like a hundred times before releasing them? I mean, after listening to "Lu's" preview, I swear to God my heart sunk in sadness. I am worried for him. REALLY REALLY WORRIED. :(

To me, his music choices are like hit and miss. There are a few who left a good impression on me like Football gang. Promises and Medals. Football gang is very innovative, unique and very Lu. I like it not only because I am sure Lu Han himself loves it so much, but also because it reflects him and what he likes the most. Promises is that one song that was able to showcase Lu-ge's amazing voice. It's a combination of sweet and y. LIKE HOW I SEE HIM <3. Medals is my favorite song from his album up to date. The melody is breathtakingand the lyrics are very remarkable (inspiring, too). The rest are just... hmm...okay(?)

It seems like the producing team are taking him a little too far from the style he works best on, which is ballad.

Maybe, Lu just wants to venture into different music styles and genres. Maybe, he wants to break away from his previous image as an idol. Maybe, he just wants to experiment and see the reactions of fans to a variety of music genres he gets into.

There are a lot things, and possibilities that a mere fan like me couldn't understand. I don't know what's going on inside the four walls of his studio. But this is just my opinion so I guess it's fine if I say that his album is "fine" overall. Not that remarkable. Not bad as well. Just average. In between the spectrum of good and bad.

 Nevertheless,  I am still on his back. I don't think I'll go anywhere else. 

I am JUST  genuinely hoping he can finally hit the mark in the future.

Okay. That didn't help but nonetheless, here are my thoughts.

 

Point 1: I can conclude that Lu-ge is thirsty to try different genres of music. For what reason, I am not sure. Maybe he wants to completely change his image. From the cute, sweet and cuddly Lulu who sings ballads and seranades fans to COOL LuHan who is not afraid to direct himself into a more ual, mindboggling and heart-wrenching kind of music. The song can be classified as rap/hiphop/rnb according to the description I see on the web. The beat is actually sick I have to give it a thumbs up. Now for the lyrics. Hmhm... how to put it.......

It's DIRTY basically. (and no don't tell me it means otherwise because I am not buying that)

Blow it like a flute

I'll make your flower bloom

Bend it like a gymnast

Come inside

*THE IN THE CHORUS*

etc.

It's far from being innocent, right?

 

Point 2: LuHan's English

I am not going to sugarcoat. I didn't understand most of the parts until I read the lyrics. I am not sure if it is the style he is going for. You know, the one that sounds like he's on crack or something. Maybe that's the essence of the song? I really have no idea.  It was interesting  I'll give him that, though.

Point 3: THE MV

This. 

I loved it because it's odd in a good way. Unique. And if we talk about adhering to the music style, the MV (with graphics and animations) did suit.

 

Lastly, will I look forward to more music from LuHan?

Well, he has been surprising me since day 1 so yeah. lmao Besides, I know myself that I can never get over with my admiration for Lu so I might as well get used to his music choices. xD

 

To Lufans out there, are you...still alive? No. Just kidding. LOL What are your thoughts about "Lu"?
