Sh*tty story?

To those who are subbed in my "Twinkie, Twinkie, Little Lu" [M]fanfiction, I'd like to say thank you for the support. Thank you to those who took time to write feedbacks and upvoted. I really appreciate it. I am open to constructive criticisms and I am glad that there are people who are willing to help me by giving suggestions. 

However, I felt really bad when someone told me that this fic is "ty". I know I am not the best when it comes to writing but I am learning. I am doing my best to write well. I know I need improvements but is that an excuse to tell me that I write terrible stories? That I don't know how to characterize? Instead of telling me what I should do to improve, I received insults. I'm feeling so down right now because of it. I am not that sensitive but the words "he/she" used are just too much. 

An hour ago, I was so inspired to update my fics. Now I just want to curl up in a ball and hide in shame.

((I don't mean to rant, guys. Sorry. I just need to let this out.))

I dont really know how to explain this but I'll try. see readers can be cruel
its much easier to judge stuff than to write stuff
youre doing the hard job
you deserve to do that job your way
art is about making what makes you feel good
if you like the story and are enjoying it, then you already succeeded
it can be really hard to receive mean critique and not feel a little bummed, but even the best stories will still be called ty by someone. so just try to focus on what you're doing right, not what someone says youre doing wrong
