♡ ChoChi -Uh huh, this one was really peculiar because it has two different meanings. The most logical would be: ChoChi came from Choi and Chinsun. Then again, this girl was a dancer and during that time it was also the rise of popularity of Chachi Gonzales. Her friends thought it would be fun to play around with their names. So... There ya go. :) (Chinsun didn't really like this one.)

APPEARANCE » Chinsun has a long brown wavy hair that falls down to her stomach. She likes having her hair dyed but she sticks with the hues of brown. She has hazelnut brown eyes that complements her fair complexion. She stands 167 cm and weighs 50 kg, making her a bit underweight (even though eating is one of her passion). Her lips are naturally pink in color that people would often ask her if she's wearing lipstick. Chinsun has a small beauty mark beside her lips, though it's still pretty visible, and her friends would often tell her that it's an asset of hers.

EXTRAS » Chinsun loves to dress up with classy, preppy, and sporty clothes. She would go for knitted tops, or loose cotton shirts, and sometimes would go for vintage looks. She likes long sleeves and also cardigans and hoodies. She's in love with skirts. All kinds. Pencil skirt, flowy skirts, or even the balloon style of skirts; name it. She owns lots. She'd pair it with any of her blouses. She also like dresses that are simple. She collects different kinds of hats but most especially beanies. She'd wear them every time she thinks it suits her clothes for the day. She also like to wear crop shirts and pair it with high-waisted shorts or skinny jeans. Chinsun likes to wear shorts as well. May it be denim or not, she still likes it. She just want to dress simply and doesn't like loud accents and such. Chinsun doesn't like going out with just using slippers, so she usually wear sneakers, boots, a pair of Mary Jane's, or even oxfords. But, she collects lots of different colors and designs of sneakers. She just feels so comfortable wearing them. She's not much of a collector of jewelries or accessories. Chinsun prefers wristwatches or anklets though. Sometimes, Chinsun would clip ribbon on her hair as well but it would just be small.

Amongst the trainees in SM Entertainment, Chinsun will be one of those girls who people would address as “Ms. Goody Two Shoes”. Though she doesn’t really like it because she thinks she isn’t one. Since when following rules or finishing tasks categorize you as one? She’d say. Because she respects all her seniors so much that whatever they ask her to do, she will immediately comply. Given, that the task is reasonable and a part of being a trainee. It’s obvious that she would always do her responsibilities and duties as she doesn’t want people to be disappointed with her. She also highly believes that in order to reach success, she’ll have to work harder as nothing is easy to achieve. She’ll be all perfectionist whenever it comes to herself and she’d make sure that whatever she does, she won’t mistakes. Being one of the unnies and noonas among the trainees, Chinsun knows that she needs to be smarter in situations or events so that she could help her dongsaengs. She would easily understand if there are problems being thrown and she’d quickly think of a probable solution to those. She also tries her best to be logical with every decisions she make as she knows that she’s already old enough to make her own. Also, she has this personality of thinking things first before saying something or doing anything. Chinsun is also very motherly to her dongsaengs and friends. She would take care of them as if they are her kids and as much as possible, she would attend to their needs and help them out if they’re facing problems. If they’re feeling down, expect her to talk to them and comfort them. Changes are inevitable and that Chinsun very much understands. She’s a flexible young lady who would try her best to adapt to change so that she could fit in. Though she may look like a shy person, she could actually easily mingle with anyone. She is just that kind of person who’s willing to compromise in any situation just so everyone will be happy.
If people around her will expect who’s the first one to cry over a heartwarming moment, they would think of Chinsun at once. She is an emotional lady who easily feels moved and happy that she’ll cry without even being shy to expose what she feels. If she’s really satisfied and feeling cheerful, she would show that she is with no pretentions at all. But if someone angered her, that’s a different story. Related to her diligence, Chinsun is also a determined person. Expect her to always do her 100% best in every task given to her. She has always been the kind of person who likes to see outcomes or endings of all things and wants them to be the best results. Giving up is not in her dictionary and nothing may faze this young lass in reaching her dreams. Chinsun may look like relaxed most of the time, but she’s actually an unpredictable kid. People wouldn’t know what’s running inside her mind as she could do stuff beyond things that she usually does suddenly. For example, naming her stuff or just talking to herself; weird things mostly. She’s just full of surprises and her friends/dongsaengs can’t make out if she’s matured or a child at heart.
Despite having the angelic figure to everyone, she too has flaws of her own. Chinsun’s honestly an insecure person. She doesn’t show it much but it’s obvious whenever she asks for the opinions of others if she performed well. How did I do? Was it okay? She’d ask different people because she’s just not that confident to herself. She believes that she lacks abilities to a perfect K-pop idol. Sure, she can dance but she thinks that it isn’t enough. She also envies her co-trainees because even though some were younger than her, they’re more talented and prettier than her. And she knows that she needs to work on this personality of hers too. It may not be obvious but, Chinsun is the kind of person who’s actually resentful. If someone wronged her, they will think that she’ll easily forgive and forget them. But, no. She would keep a grudge for so long. Maybe she will forgive, but definitely won’t forget. If she feels that she’s aggravated, she’ll feel more inclined to resent that person. It would take time for her to act normally to that person again, she’ll just pretend that everything’s fine just so it would look like nothing’s wrong. Hence, passiveness would be Chinsun’s escape to problems as well. She would rather keep everything to herself rather than confronting someone that she feels offended or annoyed at. She thinks that in this way, arguments may be avoided but it doesn’t help her because she’d just feel ill to that person. In spite of being a passive person, Chinsun can be overcritical during trainings or particularly with things involving duties. Because sometimes she thinks that she’s too imperfect, she will pass her frustrations to others. She’d be able to find faults easily and would point that out to them. She’s just pretty strict with this aspect because she wants everything to be perfect. Not knowing that she’s already hurting others too.
All in all, Chinsun isn’t always the serious type and has her own fair share of ebullience within her.

Even before the clock could struck 12am of January 1, 1995, Chinsun was born on a cold winter’s night on December 31 in the year 1994. She was the only child in the family and she would often receive anything that she needed or wanted
As a child, Chinsun loved watching kids’ shows with singing and dancing and she would go along with them. She would not be afraid in showing her talents and feels happy whenever she had the chance to sing and dance. When she was 7 years old, her teacher also picked her (it was rather random but she couldn’t be any happier with that) to dance for a school event. Her parents showed support to her and since then Chinsun fell in love more in dancing. She convinced her parents that she wanted to attend dance lessons. She was enrolled in a ballet and jazz class and she enjoyed it very much. Reaching her 15 years of age, Chinsun discovered the world of hip-hop through Korean groups. She got into it and also studied street dance style. She also stopped her ballet classes during that time as she was about to enter her first year in high school already. That same year, she tried auditioning in SM Entertainment but she failed. She felt really down with that but because she still hasn’t reached her goal yet, why would she give up? Chinsun entered Hanlim Multi Art School for high school and she was under Practical Dance Department. During her junior year in 2012, Chinsun decided to try auditioning once more in the same company and finally, she passed and successfully became a trainee in SM Entertainment. She continued studying and after graduating high school, she entered Korea National University of Arts for college where she majored in Dance Performance.

When Wendy first came to South Korea (and in SM), the first person she met was Chinsun since both got accepted in 2012. And because they had the same age years, the two jived at once. They were inseparable and treated each other as sisters. Wherever the other went, expect the other one behind. Even when Wendy debuted as a Red Velvet member, she would still support Chinsun. She believed that Chinsun will one day debut in a group too.
♡ Close Guy Friend | Moon Taeil | 21 | SR15B | Taeil and Chinsun also met when he became a trainee. He thought that Chinsun's poker face was kind of scary and he didn't really like her at first until they got to know more of each other during their trainings. Chinsun thought Taeil was a bit shy and because she had that motherly instinct within her, she approached him and befriend him. Of course he was so surprised as he judged her at once without even fully knowing her. Since then, they would talk to each other constantly. They would even tease each other and just annoy the wits out of them.

He supported Chinsun when she told him that she wanted to pursue her passion in dancing. They were pretty close but Chinsun don't really share her problems or secrets with him. Maybe just a couple of happy events...
♡ Mother | Park Dasom | 51 | English Professor | Unlike her husband, Dasom was more of the serious person where Hyunsoo would say that Chinsun got. She was reserved though and stricter. She supported Chinsun's dreams as well but she thought the trainee thing was a bad idea as she wanted Chinsun to finish her studies. But seeing her daughter striving her best in both academics and trainings, she didn't oppose anymore. Dasom and Chinsun are pretty closer, of course. Chinsun would tell her about boys or crushes and the two of them would gossip non-stop.

♡ Chinsun loves to read books, especially at night before going to sleep. She has no particular genre and she reads just about anything.
♡ Her favorite food are tteokbokki, jjajangmyeon, yanggaeng, bibimbap, pizza, and carbonara. Favorite drinks consist of bubble teas, coffee, and fruit shakes.

♡ A neat freak. She doesn't like seeing mess and she would quickly clean up everything just to ease her feelings.

Chinsun's trainee life was definitely a one heck of a rollercoaster ride. There were times where everything was just plain ol' fun but most of the time, it was pretty hard. She believed that if you don't like what you're doing then, you'll definitely have a bad time. But since this was a dream of Chinsun, she endured those hardships and did her best in everything. She also made friends but there were trainees who simply didn't like her too. She was just thankful to have Wendy and Taeil beside her, who never left her side.
One of the trials that she experienced during her stay was that, Chinsun was supposed to debut in Red Velvet as well. But at the last minute, she was pulled out as she still needed to work on her singing voice. This brought her embarrassment and more frustrated but she decided to not give up. Trials and obstacles were needed along the way, she should have known that. Wendy felt bad about it and apologized to Chinsun. she also thought that they could debut and be in a group together. Chinsun told her that she shouldn't apologize because she didn't do anything wrong. Because of this, Wendy offered that she will help Chinsun more with her vocals. And with all of these trials, Chinsun learned to be more patient and to always do her best.
