nicknames

— Michu ( She was known to also love watching anime hence, some of her friends thought of this cute nickname for her. They added her name with Pikachu's and thought it was cute. Hyemi thinks she sounds like a Pokémon, but she doesn't really mind though. )
— Jeononghan ( Since this girl's a really quiet person, some of her classmates thought it would be fun to play around with her surname and the word 'joyonghan' which means quiet. Poof! They got Jeononghan. )

personality

Whenever people see Hyemi, all they could think about is how calm or quiet she is. Her friends would often tell her that her personality really suits her tranquil looking face. She likes everything peaceful because she tends to think well whenever the environment's hushed, she could think rather fastly and take in consideration everything when it's peaceful. She usually looks serene whenever problems arises but mind you, her chaotic mind is actually taking her all up. But she would remain calm just to be able to think well and be able to convince herself that things would be alright. If she's calm, she can be watchful to details as well. Hyemi can be able to clearly see what's happening around her and it would help her with decision making and to help herself to feel at ease. She would easily notice every single thing others would do. May it be something nice or bad, you can always count on her that she had seen it. Thankful for this trait, she can easily know who trust and who shouldn't be trusted. Also, her character towards other people would depend on what she had seen on them. For example, if she had seen that this certain person is really kind to another, she'd be nice and equally friendly to that person too. But if she had seen how constantly rude someone is with others... Ah, watch out. she may or may not forget your existence. People tends to feel weird out when she would point out something that they haven't noticed too because they'd think that Hyemi can be obssessed with details but she doesn't mind them. Moving on, Hyemi is a dependable person as well. Others would always count on her because she can really be trusted. People usually ask for her assistance because she will do her best to help out. Actually, she likes it when others would ask for her aid because she feels that she is a trustworthy person and she'd do her best not to disappoint anyone. Hyemi is also a visionary and creative young lady. She likes to think about her future and plan ahead so she would have a guide on what she will do if problems come her way. Being such, it helps her to have more original ideas may it be about her life or for others. She believes that being creative is not always about artworks, but you can simply connect it with on how you survive your everyday life. Hyemi is a sincere person too. If she praises others, congrats! She really means it. She doesn't like sugarcoating and other stuff like that. She wants all good things to be real. So, if she tells her friends and family that she treasures them, she means it whole-heartedly.

On the negative side of it all, Hyemi, despite being a good person, can be avoidant at times. Why? She doesn't even know either. When she just feels like being antisocial, she'd do it that others would be confused if they had done something that she didn't like. If she feels like it, she'd hide away from people. She would plug her earphones on and walk anywhere far from everyone. Even she, herself, knows about this annoying personality of hers, but she just can't find a way to change it. She's just thankful that her friends still accept her even though she possesses this characteristic. Although most of the time, if she's aloof, it means that someone had done something wrong. Also, she doesn't like fights so she would rather distance herself until everything cools down. She'd rather escape than facing it as Hyemi doesn't like talking about her feelings. Ah, she's a moody person too. Hyemi may feel irritable easily so when she feels annoyed, her mood would go swoooosh to neverland. It's like her state of mind can change in just a snap of her fingers. When she remembers something good, she'll be all smileys. But whenever she recalls something bad or that she have problems yet to solve, she'd feel annoyed in an instant. Her moodswings can't be tolerated by the people who doesn't know her well. Hyemi can't always decide for herself and would usually just go with the flow. She's just not that intense of a deviant but she can be when she's really not in the mood. Hyemi is also the kind of person who could be easily discouraged. Despite her principles and visions in life, her mind can be easily manipulated. She doesn't like critic so much and she'd bury it deep in her heart and mind. After that, she'd be too conscious and insecure, she would rather keep quiet than voice out her thoughts. She may always look strong but she's the girl who you can discourage easily which worries her friends because sometimes they can't find to reason out with her. Overall, Hyemi's one quiet young lady who usually likes to be alone, but doesn't mind spending some time with her friends. It's just, she doesn't really have to say that's why she's quiet most of the time. She admires and at the same time, envies the other members of the cheersquad because they seemed to be so free. Unlike her, she calculates her own actions which makes her feel restricted.

— Volleyball This is the only sport that she can actually play. She used to be the Setter of their volleyball team in Busan and she actually plays great.

— Stationery & Pens She likes everything neat and organized as well. Hyemi will file out her test papers and arrange them and would assign different colors for differen subjects. She'd also use her fancy pens for labeling. She collects cute stationeries for no reason, but she knows these are handy too whenever she'll write a letter.
— Friendly People Hyemi can feel if someone is a really kind and genuine person. The way they act or talk is usually her basis and with that, she likes to make friends with them. She usually doesn't do the first move, but she (sometimes) doesn't hesitate in offering a smile or a wave.

— Cheesy Stuff She's just not that used to it. Well, her parents are sweet people though.
— Too inquisitive people What Hyemi can't tolerate much are people who ask so many personal questions about her. It's okay if it's with the cheer squad and some players from the basketball team, but when it's from someone she doesn't really know, Hyemi will just ignore the question instead.
— Puddles She dislikes it when it rains so hard that it creates puddles on the ground and it will splash on her feet.

background

Jeon Hyemi was born and raised in Busan, South Korea to a policeman father, Jeon Donggun, and to a fulltime housewife mother, Ok Miyeon. They were a small happy family who had a simple life. Even though her mother's a speech impaired, the three of them communicates very well together, making them contented with their lives. Her father's salary was enough to cover their expenses, but not Hyemi's tuition as she got older.

Hyemi's love for volleyball started when she was in grade school during their Gym class and since then, she would practice together with her friends. They had a varsity volleyball team in her school and she aspired to join that. Later on, she discovered that being a varsity player means that you will also receive a hundred percent scholarship and since her family didn't need an extra expense (She thought that way), Hyemi grabbed that opportunity and thankfully, she became a varsity player. She continued this until high school but was stopped when her father was assigned in Seoul. Donggun decided for all of them to move with him. At first, Hyemi was worried because she needed to find a school that offers that kind of scholarship again. Luckily, their coach in volleyball back in Busan told her about Pledis High and Hyemi tried it out there. But unfortunately, she wasn't chosen to be a varsity player. She went to the registrar and asked if she still have another choice to get a scholarship (besides academically OTL), the registrar told her that she could join the cheering squad and because she had no other choice, Hyemi tried. She searched for some cheerleading moves and techniques, read some articles about it, and practiced day and night just so her skills will improve. Hyemi's pretty much flexible, probably because of trainings in volleyball, and so she didn't find it that hard to at least follow some steps.

Hyemi was very thankful that she was easy to pick up steps and
was a decent dancer, to be exact, that she successfully became a part of the cheerleading squad. They saw potential and perseverance with her that's why she got accepted. Compared to everyone, Hyemi was the least member who had experience with cheering and stunts. Sure she had lessons about it from her physical education class, but that's not enough. So, she asked help from both Haneul and Miya so she can improve. Although some must admit that others who weren't able to join the squad got angry since Hyemi didn't have much experience about cheerleading, she didn't mind it because as days progresses, she fell in love with it as well and she was decided to pursue this.

family

Father | Jeon Donggun | 54 | Policeman | Funny, witty, protective
Donggun and Hyemi are close with each other. Her father likes to make jokes so that she and her mother will laugh because that's how their family are. They just laugh whenever there are trials that they are facing. Donggun, at first, didn't want to let Hyemi tire herself from Volleyball (in previous school) and Cheerleading trainings just to have scholarship. He insisted that she should just focus on her studies and he'll find a way to make more money. Being a responsible kid that she is, of course she won't allow that to happen. Plus, she enjoys what she's doing. In the end, her father supported her too and would often watch her games with her mom.

Mother | Ok Miyeon | 54 | Housewife | Loving, caring, paranoid
Back when Hyemi was still young, her mother would teach her how to do sign language too whenever her father's at work. Miyeon will write the words on a paper and will teach the counterpart of that in KSL. They're also pretty close, Hyemi will tell her mother about her day in school and she never kept secrets from her. When she grew up, though she became a quiet person, Hyemi still loves telling her adventures in their volleyball trainings. Miyeon also watches her games and supports Hyemi wholeheartedly. When Hyemi tried cheerleading, she got quite a bit paranoid with that as she was scared that her daughter might hurt herself, but Hyemi assured her that nothing can go wrong.

friends:

Best Friend | Kim Sunmi | 19 | Student | Ebullient, spontaneous, mischievous
They were best known as the "Mimi Sisters" way back in Busan. The two of them were the best of friends ever since they were babies because they were neighbors and they attended the same school forever, not to mention that both were also volleyball players. (Except when Hyemi had to move to Seoul.) These two girls possess different personalities but they definitely jived together. Sunmi's always there to cheer Hyemi up when the latter's feeling down or when Sunmi's sort of in panic mode, Hyemi will surely calm her down. They do complete each other and since Hyemi doesn't have any sisters, Sunmi is the one she never had. They almost cried for a whole day when she discovered the Jeon household will move to Seoul. They will do their best to visit each other though :)

Friend | Park Miya | 19 | Student | Responsible, thoughtful, indifferent
Even though Miya may come out intimidating most of the time, Hyemi really liked this girl. Sometimes, she feels like they have some similarities in terms of their personalities that's why she wanted to be closer with her. Since the two of them are of the same age, they didn't find it hard to talk with each other. Plus, they're both December babies, making Miya only 4 days older than Hyemi.

Friend | Haneul Veronica Chwe | 18 | Student | Intelligent, motherly, blunt
In all honesty, Hyemi really appreciates Haneul because the younger girl is really kind towards her despite the fact that Hyemi is just a newbie in their squad. She's very welcoming to her and the older girl instantly felt comfortable around Haneul. They even share the same interests like, the two really loves watching horror movies that they often talk about them whenever they're together. Some of their members would even feel a bit freaked out on why they love horror to which, they'll just shrug their shoulders at. The both of them also like the color blue and dislike pink. (Poor color pink ;n;)

persona: The Wallflower - Hyemi had always been the girl who's always at the sidelines as it can't be helped because of her personality. She's usually overshadowed by her co-members, but that's fine with her because she doesn't really enjoy recognition that much.
position: Hades (Dancer)
back-up position: Hera (Dancer)
fanclub name:
Buds - This fanclub name of hers has two meanings. First, as in "buddy" or friend. She knows about the fanclub (she was quite flustered upon discovering such thing exists) and Hyemi will forever treasure them and treat them like a friend. And second, it's quite related to her persona. Without these people who supports her, Hyemi will not develop into a beautiful flower. (That's what they would like to think since a wallflower suggests otherwise. Meh, it still has the word flower. Haha OTL)
fanclub colour:
#6495ed
talking twin: Jung Chaeyeon

love interest: Wen Junhui / Jun
back-up love interest: Hong Jisoo / Joshua (Kwon Soonyoung or Boo Seungkwan)
group: Seventeen
birthday & age: June 10, 1996 - 19 years old

personality:

Wen Junhui or also known as by nickname, Jun, is a very thoughtful person who takes care of his teammates well. Being one of the older hyungs, he took it upon himself that he needs to be responsible towards their team and he's pretty much affectionate towards them. Jun is also a polite guy. He is very well-mannered and to be honest, a debonair too, that's why a lot of girls from Pledis High admire him. He has the looks and the talents plus all his attributes that people really loved him. This is the reason why most people don't know how much of a crazy person he actually is. To the people he is close with, Jun will show his very fun side to them. His teammates think that he's a hyperactive boy with a pretty face yet, can change his personality to a very manly man when he wants to.

Despite this, Jun can also be quiet whenever every member is gathered. There are much more boys that are noisier than him so, he'd let them be and will observe in the sidelines. Sometimes, he feels that if he doesn't need to talk, he'll just stay silent instead. However, when this happens, Jun will go to his own little world instead and do acts weirdly that his teammates would have to check if he's doing fine or he had gone crazy. This is why sometimes, the team views him as an absentminded person.

interactions:

After their meeting, whenever Jun sees Hyemi, he will make sure to greet the girl and will he try to have a conversation with her and in all honesty, Hyemi felt comfortable around him as well and she didn't mind talking with him for a long time too. There was a time that they constantly see each other at the gym or at the school lobby after trainings that the two would decide to grab some snacks together or they will walk home together. (Both the basketball and cheerleading teams noticed it and they found them really cute.) Hyemi actually never noticed a guy before until now and she admits to it that she finds him really attractive not knowing that Jun thought the same about her. They continued to hang out together being talking with each other everyday became an unbreakable habit for them. Maybe in the future, one of them will finally have the courage to confess their feelings and yes, the other will reciprocate it. <3

how you meet/met:

Jun and Hyemi met after cheerleading and basketball team's practices. Both teams gathered and decided to go out of school premises together. Since most of them knew each other already, Hyemi was walking behind and was just following them. Jun, being a motherly (haha) person, approached Hyemi. Though he was a Chinese, he already had a good grasped for the Korean language that was why he didn't find it hard to converse with Hyemi. The two of them got to talking and actually enjoyed each other's company. They didn't even realize that they were out of campus already when Seungcheol called Jun while Miya called Hyemi.

relationship: Friends

rival: Min Yena (Jung Soojung)
back-up rival: Choi Eunjung (Son Naeun)
group: Pledis High Volleyball Team
birthday & age: October 31, 1996

personality:

As a whole, Yena is actually a really nice person. She takes good care of her friends and treasure them most. She will not hesitate on helping someone in need and she'll be there to cheer someone up if they're down. She's friendly to everyone and freely offers them her smile. Yena also knows that she is pretty, but she is very humble about it. Ever since she was young, a lot of people had already told her that she is an elegant and beautiful young lady. Whatever she does, she does gracefully and it's very natural with her. This is the reason why she has many admirers. Everywhere she goes, both boys and girls would look her way. Yena is intelligent too and somewhat cunning, she uses her intelligence and beauty to get what she wants. In all honesty, she'll do anything just to get something she wants. It's just that, she got used to it because ever since she was young, her parents would give her everything even though she didn't ask for it. Yena is also a really blunt person; the reason why she gained haters. She will not sugarcoat her words even if it's insulting. She'll be straight to the point with what she's saying, not taking in consideration other people's feelings. She's also a resentful person even if you didn't do anything wrong directly at her. Yena in a nutshell is a really kind person, but with her fair share of negativities.

interactions:

Yena and Hyemi met during the enrollment period in Pledis High. Both of them were transferees and upon knowing that they were to enter school at the same level, they instantly became friends (Yena, of course, made friends with her first). When both of them discovered that they share the same love for volleyball, the two planned to join the varsity together. After the try outs, Yena heard one of the captains that they only needed one additional player and they were planning to take Hyemi. Of course, she felt devastated with that and Hyemi didn't have a single idea about it. Yena let her secretary (Again, she really is that rich. Haha!) bribe the captains of the Volleyball team to take Yena instead and since it was a really large amount of money, they agreed.

Upon knowing that Yena was the one they accepted, Hyemi was very happy for her. It was a shame she didn't make it, but at least she did her best. Yena felt so bad with what she did to her friend that she decided to avoid Hyemi at all cost. Whenever Hyemi will spot her, Yena will just ignore her and she didn't understand that. Until eventually, they stopped talking altogether. Even though Yena felt guilty with what she did, somehow her envy with Hyemi for being originally the preferred volleyball player instead of her ate her up that she developed a sense of resentment towards the other.
comments/suggestions?: Hi, guys! :) I feel so late in applying because I just got into Seventeen, but I'll try my best to catch up and read the teasers too. Waah, I'm so excited for your story! I'm really sorry for the grammatical errors and misspelled words, English is not my native language. :( Anyhow, I enjoyed filling this application up that I just felt I had to finish it at once. Haha! Thank you! Fighting! <3 (I'm really sorry for the layout in the trivia part. I'm just doing it using my phone because my laptop can't connect to the wifi. :( Huhu. I'll fix it and add more next time. Thank you!)
questions?: I hope it's okay that I've added that info that the school offers scholarship for the cheer squad too? Hehe. Thank you!
