Kim Hyun grew up for the first four years of her life happily with her parents, who, though young, take wonderful care of her. She had almost everything she wanted (Though it wasn't much) and was absolutely adored. When she was three, nearing four, her father was laid off and they had to sell their house. The kept moving into smaller and smaller, worse and worse apartments, until finally the conditions were so bad her parents just couldn't, one, bear to keep her in such an environment, and two, simply didn't have enough money to raise a child.

Her father's older sister offered for Hyun to live with her until her parents could raise a child in a good enviroment. The parents agreed, and off Hyun went, at five years old, to live with her aunt in Japan. Life there was great. She wasn't spoiled nor neglected, and she didn't have to worry about money. When Hyun was ten, her parents were finally in a nice-sized apartment with a decent amount of money. Both she and her aunt moved to Seoul, and Hyun was reunited with her parents who she'd only talked to, never seen, in years. It was then that her mother revealed she was five months pregnant and that Hyun was going to have another sister.

Hyun made her very best friend in high school, who she is still close with today. They met after the most popular girls in their class ruined all of the poor girl's things and, after school, pushed her to the ground saying that was where she belonged. Her friend, Sooyun, was immediately angry and they became friends ever since. Even still, she was quite hesitant when Hyun called her excitedly after the school's talent show in 2008, revealing that she was scouted by Jellyfish Entertainment.

Hyun was really excited to start as a trainee, but she soon realized how tough the trainee life was. She was accepted for her voice, but it had yet to be developed and her teachers were hard on her. She learned to be a good rapper as well, but she had a tough time making friends when she was worked so hard. Still, this life was worth it.

PERSONALITY

Jonghyun is the man of every girl's dreams. He's attractive, gentle, and has the most beautiful voice. He always give someone puppy eyes to get what he wants, or jokes around just to lighten the mood. His goal is to make everyone happy thoguh music, and hopefully let them relate to he. Jonghyun's also very romantic- He does every sweet thing you can think of for his lovers, from writing a song to making food for them. Jonghyun is kind to everyone, which helps increase his popularity greatly. There's no one he can find hiumself being really mean to, though if you take too long to explain something, or keep him waiting, he'll be sure to chew you out. He's very impatient and doesn't like to be kept waiting.

Jonghyun is always busy- He barely has time for his friends anymore, even spending time with his friends outsit of SHINee can be detrimental to his career. In order to write songs for a company nad, well, perform, he needs a lot of time to himself and to travel. Still, he finds himself making some time for everyone. But, there's always st stubborn side to him/ Jonghyun knows what he's doing, his point is right, he knows it. You can rarely get him to back down from anything- Stubborn might as well be his middle name.

MEETING & HISTORY Jonghyun and Hyun met in 2010, when a few weeks after SHINee's comeback, Jonghyun was running away from fangirls. Hyun, who always felt bad when she saw those kinds of things happen, and thus she decided to help. She pulled the typical "let-me-pull-you-into-this-small-space-and-cover-your-mouth" bit, but it didn't turn out quite so well as Jonghyun freaked out and nearly called the cops on her. Hyun was able to use aegyo to get out of the situation, but just barely with the promise that she would never show up near him again. Unluckily, it was a month or two later that Hyun won a contest to tour SM's building. SHINee were their tour guides, and Hyun was quite surprised when Jonghyun was assaigned to her group. He didn't notice her until she asked a question without thinking, which made the tour awkward untiL, at the end he pulled her into an empty training room.

It took a long while to convince Jonghyun that Hyun was not, in fact, a crazy stalker fangirl, and as an apology, he said that she was invited over to his mother's house whenever she wanted for a meal. Hyun accepted- I mean, free food, wouldn't you? Luckily enough, when she went over, Jonghyun was there (Damn, it would have been awkward otherwise). She interacted well with his family and Jonghyun himself, and from there they exchanged numbers. Everything went smoothly from there.

INTERACTIONS Hyun and Jonghyun have a pretty strange relationship. They rarely see each other (Read: ONce or twice a month) but they're really quite close. Hyun goes to hang out with Jonghyun while he does his radio show ever third Friday of the month, and it's been that way since he started. When they're together, they tend to act like 4-D friends. Hyun is super droopys (?) when she's around him, and just tends to lay around. They tend to just enjoy each other's company in silence. They have never gone out together, in order to keep away from dating scandals. Jonghyun doesn't keep his romantic feelings a secret from Hyun, but they both agreed that a relationship wasn't in either of their best interests at the moment. That doesn't keep them from flirting like crazy, though. They're quite into skinship and teasing.

INTRODUCE YOURSELF! Hyun took a deep breath, fixing up her hair one last time before nodding at the staff. She donned a warm smile and started to speak, "Annyeonghaseyo, I'm the ever-clever vocalist, Hyun!"
HOW DO YOU FEEL ABOUT PARTICIPATING IN KAROSHI? "It's exciting, isn't it? I'm surprised that I made it on, so I hope I can show the best parts of myself," A smile lit up her face once again, and you could simply feel the confidence that she exuded, "I hope that you all take care of me and that we can be good friends."
IF YOU BECOME A MEMBER OF ALATE HOW WOULD YOU FEEL? "Being a part of a group has always been a dream, so of course I'll be thrilled. But, to be in a band, to become an idol because I won against the others is something else, something even more amazing," Hyun laughed quietly behind her hand, looking apologetic, "Sorry, sorry."
WHO IS/ARE YOU INSPIRATION(S) OR ROLE MODEL(S)? "No one," She answered immediately before seemingly becoming guilty, "Well, that's not entirely true. I do find Taeyeon of Girl's Generation to be a role model in terms of vocals. But I was never supported to follow my dreams of music and the reason I dream to be an idol is because music supported me from day one. Whenever I needed a friend, music was there."
