POSTERS and Note

Hi guys :D I feel like the weekend has already ended and yet, it hadn't even begun yet :D I have some minor health issues so I stayed home yesterday and I don't have classes today so...it's like an entire weekend had passed already. Anyway, I'm moving to a dorm next week, for the winter months. (I'm not really a fan of the idea but my dad can't drive and reaching the bus stop / train station on time when it's raining / snowing is imposible, even with a car, let alone without :/) so I don't really have other choices :/ It seems fun tho, it's in a nice place of the city and a friend of mine lives there so yea. HOWEVER, here's the issue: I don't have a laptop that runs PS. YET. I'm working hard on either getting a version that my laptop works with or getting a new laptop (Been planning the latter for a long while to be honest, but it's not so easy) so... yea. I'll be mostly active poster-wise during the weekends. Once I have PS, I'll be making posters nonstop lol.

This brings me to another issue I've been encountering lately. POSTERS. Well, not them, but requesters. I know that some people have made some kind of form concerning how to request correctly (tbh I regret not 'stealing' it and putting it in my shop) but I feel like is only going down now. So... first of all, it seems like saying a 'thank you' is a luxury now. At this one shop I made a black bg and nothing else because the poster was overcomplicated (and I hate complicated bgs anyway, I think they should be plain and cool) and instead of them thanking what I did, the only question was something like 'why the black bg'. The owner of the shop replied and the reply was a mere 'eh'. Look. Don't like it? Say it. But if you are planning to use it at least say 'thanks'. I'm not expecting anyone to go full out 'ermagerd so purty omg omg' on whatever I make, but where are the manners of people these days? And this wasn't the first time this happened. Many times, all people comment is 'picked up.' No thanks, no 'hey, it looks okay' or anything. No nothing. Just 'picked up'. (my favorite part is where they don't even use the poster, yay some wasted time :D). I know that I come off as a whiny little but I had enough of being treated as a worker. I don't generally get paid for this, (only very rarely), I don't get ANY benefits (besides some experience) from this. I do it because I love doing it, but... the least is a 'thanks'. Or at least not an 'eh'. I don't think I'm a particularly good designer or anything, but I think if I do something for someone, I deserve at least a tiny flicker of gratitude. Just like how the pros and how the newbies deserve it, too. After that.. sure, I'm happy if the poster I make is actually used, but... credit doesn't even matter to me. I just want to get the illusion that I didn't waste hours in front of my PC for nothing.

Okay, other then this really angry rant, I want to show off my new things :D I should be working on my shop's stuff but here I am rambling about them lol. Feel free to comment, too :D I'd love to know what others think of them xD.

LOL what? Personally, I HATE over complicated backgrounds. Solid colors are great with just the text. Honestly, people are so disrespectful and ungrateful these days. It is very rude to request and not use a poster. (BTW just saying but I like the one you made better than the one she's using right now.

It should be an honor for that user to get a poster made by you, you are an amazing designer :D
