In need of Clarification : Copyright in AFF

Hello, I've deleted my previous post because people tend to interpret my words differently. I've been confronted by people today for plagiarizing. I realized I'm at fault now, so I appreciate the help and advices from you all. This is the situation. Basically, I have 2 stories, which were both adapted from other authors. They were credited in the story but the people who confronted me said Its still considered as plagarism as I did not use it by permission. These authors are from other websites and they were not in AFF. The first story has been settled because the author has contacted me. I apologized to her and she said its alright as long as I had her consent. However for the second story, the author have not replied me. Also what should I do once I got the author's consent? what is to "put Original authors permission" in a fic? One more important question: Is there anything else that I've left out? Besides crediting and asking for permission? I have googled some information but I need these fanfics guideline. Like should I have credited in foreword, every chapter or.. I'm really lost. I really hope someone could guide me a little through these questions. If not I will just delete the stories and never use any again. However I do hope to get rid of my ignorance. Thank you ============ (You may skip this part) Please understand this post is coming off from someone who wishes to ammend things and not because I want to plagarize more in the future. My intention at first was only to share a good story of my favorite pairings. I never claimed the writings as mine. Also I am aware that "Plagarism is not cool." That's why I've credited it at the first place. Also, copyright acts differently in countries, in mine it's not very established unless you are in the particular industry such as journalism or music. I've only started writing since February and the first story I adapted was last month the other was yesterday. They were really good stories, that's why I wanted to share. Usually what I've observed from adapted stories are people writing a disclaimer at the foreword and so I followed suit. Also when we do assignments, what we did was adapt from the original article and cite it. (Without personally asking for permissions from each article) However, after the author pinpointed my mistake then only I knew I was wrong. Please understand these are not excuses, but just why I interpreted things this way. After this, I promise not to repeat the same mistake again. Thank you for your time, and even more your understanding.

I would say you should take the story down if you don't get a reply from the other author. That sort of works as if you have been denied use so yeah. No reply = no story, imo.
I think AFF guidelines talk about plagiarism concerned plotlines a little though.
