sera is someone you would definitely want as a leader; she's a very quick thinker, somehow always knowing what to do and when to do it. she rarely hesitates and she's always so sure of herself. she naturally takes charge in any situation, and even when you don't mean to, she becomes the head chief, and half the time, nobody notices it or complains. sera is also a very hard working individual, always pushing herself and striving to be someone better. she keeps moving forward, and she's learned to never look back, especially if the situation was a nasty one. as childish as it may seem, she lives by the disney quote, "just keep swimming," because it makes perfect sense to her. what's the point in lingering in one place if it isn't going to get you anywhere? coming back to the quick thinker subject, sera is able to solve many problems due to this, constantly thinking outside the box to come up with answers not many people would think of. she's great at solving puzzles, too, and it helps her come up with good game plans to help her win many games. she's very confident in herself and everything she does, which brings us back to always being sure of herself. she's positive with everything; her looks, her answers, what she wears, her game plans. everything. even her witty jokes, even if they're on the spot things. they always seem to make people laugh, and that's enough for her. sera knows she's pretty, and she flaunts it whenever she can.

 

despite always being so confident in everything she does, sera is very forgetful and absentminded. this is because she has adhd, so she struggles to pay attention with anything and everything, unless it interests her enough to actually focus. she also can't stay still, and she's always doing something, whether it's shaking her leg or tapping her fingers. tying into her witty humor, sera is also quite blunt.she speaks her mind without really thinking, and she's prone to hurting someone's feelings even though she really doesn't mean it; she'll apologize if you make it obvious she ed up. coming back to her being forgetful, sera literally forgets things the moment it comes out of , and anyone's mouth, for that matter. she's that kid in class who constantly asks the teacher the same questions over and over, and right after the lesson is thoroughly explained, she has to ask something to reassure she heard it correctly because she wasn't paying attention. it may make her appear dumb or dense, but it's better than being clueless in class because she has the attention span of a goldfish. believe it or not, miss. self confident is actually pretty sensitive. most people don't know this, though, since she hates showing weakness and she's really good at hiding it. if you say something harsh enough to make her cry, she won't dare do it in public. she'll wait until she gets home or if she's 100% sure she's alone.

 

sera is very sharp tongued, which is like another branch connecting to her bluntness and quick thinking. she's most likely like this because of how sensitive she is, and she doesn't want to look like she was left hanging when she gets offended, so she's learned to be good at giving quick, offending, comments so she can leave knowing she did at least some damage back. these are the things she doesn't apologize for, and never will. once it's said, she's not taking it back. she's also very nonchalant about many things, appearing as if she doesn't care, which is yet another thing she had to learn due to her sensitive heart. if she acts unaffected, she can escape and walk away quicker. unfortunately, she's gotten so used to doing it, that, when in a situation that she should care, she doesn't. for example, if someone falls and hurts themselves, she just tells them to get up and walk it off, like it isn't a big deal and they shouldn't cry about it. as another branch to this grows, sera is also very sassy, which can tie into her sharp tongue, if you think about it. always being on her toes and quick with things, sera is good at giving people very sassy remarks that can either be nice or mean, nobody knows which it can be, as it depends on the situation and however she's feeling at that given moment. being sassy also makes her bold, a tad pushy, and maybe even a little cheeky. these are traits that even she herself dislikes, so she tries not to do it much. sometimes sera also stirs up trouble, often getting into it when she's not at school. she may not seem like it, but she has stolen things before and broken into places. old habits die hard, don't they?

 

( background ) : sera was born in san diego and lived there until she was 14. growing up, she was quite the troublemaker, always getting in trouble at school. the principals office was like her second home. the reason she was always being so mischievous was because her parents were always at work, and this was her way of trying to get their attention. as sera got older, she had began to shoplift, and later on, she even started breaking into places. she had a little sister, and sera made sure she didn't follow in her footsteps. she made sure her sister actually got a good education and took care of herself. there was already one handful in the family, they didn't need another. because her parents weren't really around, sera was the one who took care of her sister, becoming overprotective of her. the summer before sera started high school, her parents filed for a divorce and split. they had been fighting a lot that year, and it seemed inevitable. the unfortunate part? her and her sister were separated, sera going with her mom and her sister going with her father. even worse? her mother decided to move back to korea with sera's grandparents. sera was ready to fight so she could stay in america, but her little sister stopped her. she reassured sera that she would be okay without her big sister, and made sera promise to clean up her act and not be such a troublemaker in korea. sadly, her mother continued her workoholic behavior, and just let sera do whatever she wanted, so she had to depend on her grandparents to take care of her. in order to avoid going back to her old habits, sera decided to join all the sports she could to keep her busy. even if it didn't work, sera still had fun, and so far, korea hadn't been all that bad.

( why did you choose to take media studies? ) : well, to be honest, i'm only taking it because my little sister is into this stuff. i wanted to see what was so great about it.

( stereotype ) : sera gained the sporty sterotype the moment she started school. she had just moved from san diego, so she was already "the new kid," but she immediately started going to all the sports tryouts when they became available to do. soon people started changing, "the new kid" to, "the one girl who's in so many sports." it was only a matter of time before people started recognizing her everywhere. sera doesn't mind it, so she just goes with the flow.

sera keeps her past life back in america a secret from everyone else. she doesn't want them to know that she's truly, "the bad one." she's already gained a name here, and she'd hate for it to be ruined if people found out all the things she's done in the past. it's not that she's ashamed of it, god no, but she's afraid people will turn on her and she's too sensitive for that.

( personality ) : mark is a very... proud indiviual. he hates admitting defeat. in other words, he has a lot of pride, and he's competitive. which is exactly why he's on the basketball team - the captain, actually. he's really chill and laidback, choosing to hang out with everyone at least once to give them a chance. he's the friend in the background that stops arugments before they get out of hand. his sense of humor is very sarsastic, but you learn to love him. in a nutshell, he's the one kid everyone knows but isn't really friends with.

 

( meeting ) : these two actually met through yugyeom. since yugyeom is on the basketball team and mark is team captain, they obviously know each other. sera didn't have practice one day, surprisingly, so she decided to go watch yugyeom at his practice instead. he came over after warm ups to say hi, and mark followed because he wanted to know who the pretty girl was and how yugyeom could know someone so beautiful. immediately, yugyeom realized he'd become the third wheel. nice.

 

( interactions ) : while in school, these two just act like friends. or, as close to friends as they can. mark likes to flirt with her a lot, and they do a lot of skinship, like hugging, or backhugging, and at lunch, mark's lap is her seat. if someone didn't know any better, they'd say these two were dating, or they had a crush on each other. they wouldn't be too far off the path. people like to ask them how come they aren't dating for real, and sera laughs whenever she gets asked this because little do they know about the things that happen behind closed doors.
