Danbee was always outgoing ever since she was little. She would always be the one saying hi, and she would always be making friends. She was a “social butterfly”. Danbee is also the person everyone went to for advice, since she was so truthful with her advices. There was no beating around the bush for her. Sometimes her truthfulness came out as being too straight-forward, but she never meant to offend anyone. When she liked someone, she was the one to confess her true feelings. She would say, "Your cute, I think I like you. Let's date." . That's how she ended up dating, but only for a month. Being able to be loyal to others was very important to Danbee. She believed that loyalty was the most important thing in a relationship. She would always defend her friends or family, even if it meant harm to her own self. Everyone at school knew her for basically for being the "counselor", and for having a "smart mouth". Danbee is very witty with her words, and it would bring laughter from her fellow peers, teachers, and mostly everyone. She would use broken English as jokes. Danbee is also a good-natured person. She intended everything with a good heart. Danbee would be the person who has cheering other people up if they were feeling down or sad.

Danbee is very competitive. She would always try to win number one in anything, even little board games. She was especially competitive with her rival(s) (her rivals would mostly be people who like her crush or bias). Her competitiveness ends her up in fights, where Moonri would be the one saving her. Danbee is also very proud. She has a pride of a lion. It would be very hard for her to say sorry and apologize. Especially to her dad, even when she knew she was wrong. Danbee is very emotional. She would be balling her eyes out with someone else that was crying even though she didn't know the reason why that other person was crying. Even Disney movies like “Frozen” would bring her to tears. She is also very artful. She was good at getting things in her way without it being noticeable. She would cleverly use aegyo to her friends to make them buy her food or help her with homework.

The negative things about Danbee was that she is also very opinionated. She is only concerned with her own opinions, and other people's opinions didn't really matter to her. She would voice out her opinions, and debate others if they opposed her opinions. Danbee is a disobedient child, since she was stubborn as a bull. If she didn’t want to do something she didn’t do it. She wouldn’t listen to her parents when they told her to study or to eat her vegetables. Another negative trait about Danbee was that she was very impulsive. If she was bored, she would have a "spontaneous" trip, without thought, and eventually get in trouble, or get lost somewhere. The worst part of this personality was that she would drag Moonri with her. Last but not least, Danbee was very obsessive. Once she fell into something (ex. SMTM) she would constantly talk about it non-stop. When Danbee fell in love with Song Minho (SMTM), she would annoy her friends like Moonri, by talking about how she was going to marry him, and etc. 

BACKGROUND + CURRENT EVENTS —

Danbee was born in Seoul, South Korea on June 8, 1997. Her father, Haehyun being a doctor, Danbee was raised in a upper middle class family. Danbee lived in a decent house, near her father's workplace. She was a happy little girl growing up. Her father was very busy with emergency surgeries, and seminars he had to attend. So when there were award ceremonies, and grade promotions, he couldn't make it to some of them. Even though that hurt Danbee, she understood that it was his job. Thankfully she had her mother, Sooyoung, who  was always there for Danbee, playing dress up with her, going shopping together, etc. She was very close to her family and since she was an only child, she was treated as a princess, especially being spoiled by her dad (affection=making Danbee happy=buying her things). The main reason her dad spoiled Danbee was that he always felt sorry towards her. Not being there for Danbee and her mother all the time, working different hours, and going on business trips for seminars. Danbee was very understanding towards her father, and never blamed him. 

 

Pre-school was hard for Danbee at first. She didn't want to leave her mother. She would cry and scream, because she didn't want to go. On the first day of school, when Sooyoung forced Danbee to go to school, she met her first friend, Kwon Soonyoung. Danbee and Soonyoung would always play pretend marriage together, and go to each others houses. After making more friends at school, she became used to leaving her mother for school. Danbee was the one that always volunteered for things like the school musical or play. She was the star of her school plays, and that's when she realized her passion for acting. Sadly, after pre-school, Soonyoung moved to Busan, and left Danbee. She cried for weeks, because she couldn't go to school with her first friend. In elementary school Danbee started to go to acting classes. This is when she determined to become an actress when she grows up. Elementary school was where she first met Moonri. Moonri was one of the smartest student in her class, and Danbee approached Moonri to be friends with. They ended up going to the same middle school and became close friends, with other girls too. 

 

Starting in middle school, with her cold looking appearance, she was misunderstood a lot. If she didnt smile, or if she was day dreaming, people would think she was a (I'm sorry for cursing) . Classmates would misunderstand her as a 'rich mean girl', which was a stereotype she hated, especially since she wasn't rich. Her some of her so-called "friends", (or classmates), would talk about Danbee behind her back, and try to use her for her money. But thanks to her group of friends defending Danbee, she never felt alone. Her group was friends for years some since middle school, and some since elementary school were like sisters that she never had. Even with the gossip that surrounded her about being mean since middle school, school was very fun for Danbee (except classes where she couldn't talk). The "social butterfly" has to talk somewhere. She enjoyed talking to her friends, and learning new things about other people. She learned something new everyday(not only from her classes). Danbee was scolded a lot by her mother, for having bad grades, and for just playing around. At sucha emotional age of 15, Danbee ranaway from home because of her mother's scolding. She ended up staying at Moonri's house for a week. In the end, she crawled back home and apologized to her family.

 

 

 

 

RELATIONSHIPS — .

 

• Mother - Park Sooyoung (46) - Housewife - Outgoing (just like Danbee), funny, the "cool mom", but strict when it came to grades. and she is very open (talks about anything with Danbee and her friends) - Sooyoung and Danbee are very close since they have similar personalities (Mother like Daughter). After school, Sooyoung would always make Danbee snacks, and they would have conversations about how their day went.  Sometimes when Danbee would be frustrated, she would lash out to her Sooyoung, and Sooyoung would scold her. One time in 1st year of high school, Danbee got so mad at her mom (for scolding her), she ran away from home and stayed at Moonri's house for a couple of days. Sooyoung wants Danbee to start her dream as an actress after High school, since some idols/young actresses don't graduate high school.
