Shake that Br- wait, WHAT?!

My cousin was forced to jam to 'Shake that Brass' while I played it as loud as I could. She seemed to be really into it, shocking me who is not used to people liking k-pop without saying stuff like, 'how do you know what they're saying?'

 

At the end of it, she remarked, "The lyrics are really weird."

 

I gave her a kind of look that said, 'I saw you bobbing your head,' and asked, "Why?"

 

"She keeps saying 'shake that .'"

 

Naturally I was taken aback and felt the need to OTL. Being accustomed to reading 'brass' via the MV, I tried to pronounce it the way that she said (with her cockney British accent in my head) and to my utter shock and horror, I was disturbed...

 

While I made sure to correct her, I can't help crack up at that song. It's ruined for me. XD How do you even... '?!' LOLOL.

"You want me to shake wuuut???"
 

That misheard lyric, coupled with knowledge that Amber is a tomboy and probably gets questioned on her uality a lot, makes 'yuri sense.' Poor Amber and Taeyeon xD #foreverLOLing

 

Makes me wonder has anyone made the same mistake with 'Shake that Brass,' or any other k-pop song in which the lyrics became 'really weird?'
