I need help.

I just opened Word 2013 to start writing a new chapter of my fic and it said I had to renew my subscription!!! I’ve only had this laptop 1 year and it was all installed when I first got it. Why is ing Word subscription now? Have you seen how much it costs? I’m not paying that yearly just so I can write fics.

It’s still letting me write and save stuff now. It’s letting me edit and save older documents too. Will that change? Am I in a limbo period?

This is ed up, lbr. Paying stupid amounts for something that used to be a one-off. ing big companies with loads of money trying to make loads more.

Still hoping to get Guardians of Exoplanet chapter 6 up tonight. It might be short

I think that's the Office 365 subscription that you'd have to pay for. Standard Office 2013 should be a one-off licence fee, UNLESS your software came as part of a 365 subscription. If it did, then you'll be required to renew your subscription to keep the software. If you just have Office 2013 and not Office 365, then you should not be asked to renew a subscription. If you did just get it alone, then you can try reinstalling it, or try your luck with the Microsoft support forums.

As an alternative, you could try Open Office or Libre Office, which are about as good and compatible with Office documents, and are the low low price of free.
