July Comebacks

With july (almost) coming to an end, it has been a great month for kpop comebacks. Here are my thoughts about the big ones 

Big Bang - I think Big Bang released the best song this month. If You was solid, and one of my favorite Big Bang songs ever. They have some really strong vocals in there. Daesung's voice suited that song so well, it was crazy. Sober was good too. u w u  

GOT7 - I really liked Just Right. GOT7 has a very distinct style to it's title tracks, usually with some weird catchy beat in the back. I'm always like "wtf was that" on first listen and then it gets stuck in my head forever. Just Right was exactly that. Everyone sounded great and the song has a cute message to it too.

Infinite - Bad was pretty good. The MV was all sorts of creepy in a wonderful way. They never disappoint me with their music. 

Super Junior - I quite liked Devil, and the MV was interesting. The song is pitched really high and it must be hard to sing for a boygroup. Watching Super Junior perform on stage is really great. Maybe it's because they have a lot of members but they are really good performers and have amazing stage presence. 

Sistar - Catchy, summer song, exactly what I was expecting. Lots of curves haha 

SNSD - I liked Party too. It's very generic but its still catchy. Everyone looked so pretty :3  

Girl's Day- the song was kind of catchy but the MV made me really uncomfortable. The leg shaking dance isn't very attractive at all, and their outfits at first was atrocious (denim on denim with the booty shorts). Also, the connation of Ring My Bell kind of makes it even worse, since it's alluding to the female . I feel like there are young girls going around singing that in Korea with no idea what it actually means...

APink - All the girls looked really pretty! But the song was kind of boring. I forgot what it sounded like already OTL it just felt like it was missing something, like the song held something back

Beast - also a little underwhelmed by their comeback....reserving judgement though...should go listen a few more times 

AOA - lots of short shorts/skirts and crop tops...I remember everyone looking pretty but the song was also very forgettable. I can't remember much other than the chorus. 

 

Overall, I think my favorites were Big Bang and GOT7's songs. Which one was your favorite?

I liked Bad the most I really think infinite slayed it with this comeback I wish the views of the mv reach 5M so that we'll have a dance practice video and I also like BigBang's if you it's with no doubt one of my fav bigbang' songs I think GOT7's just right is pretty dope too and party is cool too but I liked check better .
For me Infinite's BAD remains the best July comeback ♥

Bigbang If You is totally THE BEST. It stuck in my head forever! The song is just perfect, so nice!
I also like SNSD'S comeback , but I like their song Check more than Party. I think Check is a really good song because I've been replaying it ever since it came out XD
And i just cant get the sound out of my head !

Infinite and SuJu are my favorites this month. I also listened to the other songs but it just can't stay in my head, I always find myself singing Bad or Devil.

BIGBANG AND GOT7 WERE THE BEST <3 like I have Sober's MV on my phone as well as GOT7's Just Right. I like the lyrics to Just Right because it gives me good feelings about myself haha
BB's If You made me tear up before I even found out what the lyrics were and when I looked them up I cried even more orz
Sober was all sorts of crazy (the MV) but the song itself gave me a GD's CROOKED vibe with it's lively melody and rhythm but really sad lyrics. :

overall I'm loving 2015 so far (minus the whole *coughstaocoughs* thing)

NOT TO MENTION IKON IS DEBUTING (which might mean that SMROOKIEs might also be debuting because you know... SM vs YG) AND I'M SO HAPPY

This month has been very hectic! I like the dance for Just Right, it's so cute and funny, esp their expressions! Bigbang is kpop god! Always legendary. Sistar shake it was just just the just the same as touch my body and loving u... Apink is just cute all the time, not much difference in every comeback. I love Bad, but not much singing, more dancing (dancing>singing). As for GG, Im not a big fan of them...their song this time is a bit too weak. The others have strong bass and treble, but Party is very light. AOA is similar all the time too, Brave Sound~.
Wait B2st's song is out? I gotta listen to that first...
I can't wait for wonder girls comeback! But But itBut it's only 3 girls then, right? Cuz one gave birth and sohee went to acting..

I lovedddd Infinite's Bad but I find myself singing along to GOT7's Just Right, definitely a fave by them behind A of course lol
Girl group wise, all of them besides Girls' Day I don't even remember what it sounds like tbh lol

Infinite! Symphony music blending with EDM and Hip-hop is really cool! They never disappoint me too :D
Bigbang's If You is absolutely beautiful! It's really fresh listening to a ballad song from Bigbang (feels like it has been ages since the last time they sing this kind of song).
I also like GOT7's (though the MV is too cute for me). I love the message that they try to convey through the song.
I have to say that this time AOA's comeback is disappointing (blame BraveSound for the generic song that polluted K-pop scene). I also agree with you that Apink's song is lacking that "something". The chorus part is really weird for me.

got7 and infinite, hands down.
snsd's song is catchy and I like it a lot, but, like you said, it's pretty generic (and there were some parts that just made me outright cringe... "it's a party~~~!!").
sistar's song was okay, but it sounds 90% like 'touch my body' so I'm not really all that impressed by that.
out of the six tracks bigbang has released over the past few months, I literally only like 'bangbangbang', everything else is mediocre to me - especially after all the hype and the elitism. I'm so tired of YG's money hungry tendencies because that's literally all this "release two song-albums every month for four months and then an album with ALL the songs on it at the end"-concept is. they know fans will buy everything.
(I'm also salty about the fact that ikon still hasn't debuted because they're "lacking 2%", but all of bigbang's songs are lacking like 30%.)
and, correct me if I'm wrong, I believe beast's comeback was like a pre-release to their ACTUAL comeback track so there's a chance their next song will be better.

Infinite's comeback was definitely my favorite, but WOW, I didn't even remember that all of these comebacks were within the same month. o-o
