Okay, so I know a bunch of people have heard about the so-called Asianfanfics app from the Play Store and have rushed to install it onto their devices. However, I was quite sceptical when I heard the news since one) we haven't reach the target goal for the fundraiser and two) it hasn't been posted on the official website.

I guess the news reached AFF owner Nichiren because he has recently posted a blog post about it. Refer to this post.
 

For those who can't be bothered reading the post, he basically says that no, there is no official aff app as of now. Whoever created the app is not affiliated with Asianfanfics and because of this, if you log in with the app, there is no way to know for sure that the app is secure and not using your information. And if something happens to your information, Asianfanfics is unfortunately responsible for it.

On a more positive note, Nichiren is working on getting an app up and running. The features he talked about were pretty cool; like push notifications and the ability to read offline! However, it seems to be a little way off, but rest assured, he and his team are doing everything they can to make sure we get the best app possible!

In conclusion, do not download the 'app'! It may abuse your information because you don't know who is accessing it.
