APPEARANCE » ryohei pretty much looks like a delinquent with his dark, fiery, red hair (obviously dyed and it's safe to say that he usually changes up his hair color from time to time... he's been thinking about going purple for a little while, but digs the fiery red that he has now.), perchance for earrings and tattoos (he has a tiger and dragon sleeve tattoo, as well as multiple piercings along his ears, gages included), and has a dark, unsettling, almost crazy gaze in his eyes. usually always seen smirking or smiling in a way that most students would think he's crazy, Ryohei has an intimidating aura about him that keeps most people away. usually never seen without a bruise or cut on his face, ryohei is one that often gets in fights and while he does get a couple of bruises, cuts, and bashed knuckles from time to time, the other guys usually look and feel much worse. despite having a slender build that sometimes belies his actual strength as some people would assume ryohei has the figure of a string bean (he's 187 cm and is quite thin), but unlike most string beans, ryohei can pack quite the punch.
STYLE » even with the uniforms, ryohei has made them his own by keeping his earrings in, wearing ty, ironic t-shirts underneath the uniform top, as well as rolling up his sleeves and one leg of his pants. it's also said from other students that they can see flecks of blood along his uniform, almost as if ryohei still manages to find people to fight or do his job as Jinwoo's guard dog, despite the students being in a more restrictive environment. if not in uniform, ryohei is often seen in a leather jacket, his ty ironic t-shirts that he got from the clearance bin, and ripped jeans that didn't start that way in the first place.

The taller boy usually always being seen with a smile or smirk on his face, whether it's from truly thinking something's funny in a harmless way or if it truly has a dangerous edge to it. the latter being something that you would see in movies and probably on a serial killer or something. Because ryohei does have a bit of thing for bloodlust and sometimes enjoys hurting the people he fights... There are reasons for why people fear him and don't go out of their way to mess with jinwoo anymore. because as much honor as ryohei has in official fights, he's also not afraid to fight dirty and be underhanded when it comes to fighting in unofficial settings like pounding that one guy form homeroom that talked about jinwoo, getting a little too close for comfort for ryohei's liking.
— Despite how much life has brought him down, ryohei can be quite positive about things and is able to laugh, despite their not always being something to laugh about... the boy usually finding humor in things that most people wouldn't always find funny like death, irony, and the misfortune of others. — He and Jinwoo have adopted a cat, an abyssinian kitten, that goes by the name of amber. It's about three months old and the two found it scrounging around some trash cans without a home. It's ear is a little chewed up from the kitten being attacked at some point, but she is overall in decent health, at least after the two have taken her in and have fattened her up. She doesn't really like many people, but she seems to love ryohei and jinwoo.
— He always carries a switchblade on his person, even before the whole alien mess, and even with him being issued weapons from the military, he still can't help but carry the weapon around. Plus, it's quite useful for opening bottles or cutting things open.
— HE is quite fast and probably would have made a good addition to the track/cross country team. But no one wants a guy like him on it and he's always used his speed to help him out. Whether it is running from the cops or being used in fights.
— HE is a smoker and he smokes about two packs a week. Jinwoo doesn't really like it when he smokes, usually not liking the smell or how it makes his lung feel as if they are turning black, but he doesn't put up with it either, so ryohei usually has to smoke outside or away from jinwoo when he wants to do so. background »
— birth to 12 years - this is the only time that ryohei and his parents had a loving relationship, but after moving to korea, something of which ryohei had been against from the get go, things slowly started to change.
— 13 years old - a new start in korea - against the move since his father had been deployed there, the first year had been the hardest for ryohei. he barely understood a of korean, the other kids were s to him, always trying to alienate him from the group or picking on him, and the teachers doing nothing to help, it was pretty safe to say that the first year of korea had been hell to the poor boy. especially since it was during such an important time in his life too...
like puberty wasn't bad enough, but having to deal with a new environment on top of it, especially one that wasn't so accepting of japanese people, ryohei hated korea. And because of that, he constantly got into fights with his parents about wanting to move back, but after the first 100 times or so of his father saying no, half the time the man not even listening to his concerns, ryohei felt more than a little betrayed and it wasn't because he was being a brat either. (even though there were plenty of times that he was.) however, with as much as he had to deal with during his first year their, the bullying, the alienation, and just no one giving him the time of day, especially the people that should have been doing that in the first place, ryohei was in a bad spot. and he was just lucky that he didn't become some bully's plaything since he actually knew how to defend himself with all the judo and tae kwon do that he learned and still took classes for.
— 14 years old to 19 years old - life with kim jinwoo - once ryohei was forced to retake the sixth grade, disappointing his parents for what was probably the first time in his life, it soon became apparent that that would be a thing. because once he ended up meeting kim jinwoo, the only person that had ever given him the time of day and cared for him, ryohei found it hard to care about anyone else. and with jinwoo being a magnet for bullies and not really being the strongest and the healthiest of boys, ryohei found himself doing anything and i mean anything for the other boy. because jinwoo was worth it and while the other boy wasn't going to die any time soon or anything like that, ryohei couldn't help but not be worried about him. especially since the summer of 2011 ended up changing their relationship and made ryohei a thousand times more protective of the other boy.
— summer of 2011 - for the most part, summer of 2011 wasn't much different from other summers, but during the end of it, it was much different. not because it had been super hot or anything like that, but the two had decided to go on a camping trip at jinwoo's assistance since jinwoo had never been camping before. and due to that fact, ryohei couldn't help but want to do something like that with the other boy. but what started off as a pretty fun trip of hiking and camping out under the stars, it quickly turned deadly when jinwoo had ended up falling down a small cliff and into the river. something of which woudln't have happened if ryohei had just paid the other boy a bit more attention to. because if he hadn't had turned his back to the other, going off on his own to check out that creepy cave the two had found close by, then jinwoo probably wouldn't have tripped, fell and then found himself in freezing cold water seconds later, causing him to get hyperthermia and pneumonia in the process. two things that had almost taken his life and if ryohei hadn't been as good of swimmer as he had been and hadn't have dived into the water to save the almost drowning boy, jinwoo wouldn't even be around. so feeling guilt about jinwoo almost dying, ryohei became a lot more protective of the older boy. So much so, that even looking at the boy wrong usually had people ending up in the hospital. luckily by 2012, most bullies gave up on targeting jinwoo, most of them too afraid to go under ryohei's wrath.
— 20 years old - military life - at least he's not with his parents anymore, that's all ryohei has to say about it. so no more of having to hear his father look at jinwoo or even refer to jinwoo as scum and the reason for why ryohei changed or having to see his mother give him disappointed looks whenever he came home with a few bruises or bad grades. he wouldn't have to listen to either of them complain about what he wants to do when he gets out of school or how he's not going to college or how that jinwoo boy is ing him up. and because of that, ryohei is okay with military life. only for the fact that he doesn't have to listen to his parents most of the time. and while he misses jinwoo's cooking, he'd rather deal with the ty food than have to deal with disappointing his parents for what was the millionth time in his life. plus, getting to shoot guns and beat people up was fun. and while the military officers running things aren't that cool and can piss him off from time to time, they're also quick to learn that ryohei isn't going to take their . and with him being quite decent at fighting and shooting a gun, he's better than most of the other kids, so they leave him and jinwoo well enough alone.

father | akasaki daito | 53 | akasaki senior is a military man, despite not having been in the military for years. the strong, yet silent type, one would not think these two are related, especially since akasaki senior is a lot less outspoken than his son and is usually a man of few words, preferring to listen than to speak. But despite that, he usually always knows what to say for any given situation. kind, yet serious, especially in regards to his wife, akasaki senior isn't a hard man to like, at least for the most part. however, he's also a prideful man who expects nothing but success from the people around him, including his son... — birth to 12 years - this is the only time that ryohei and his parents had a loving relationship, but after moving to korea, something of which ryohei had been against from the get go, things slowly started to change.

like puberty wasn't bad enough, but having to deal with a new environment on top of it, especially one that wasn't so accepting of japanese people, ryohei hated korea. And because of that, he constantly got into fights with his parents about wanting to move back, but after the first 100 times or so of his father saying no, half the time the man not even listening to his concerns, ryohei felt more than a little betrayed and it wasn't because he was being a brat either. (even though there were plenty of times that he was.) however, with as much as he had to deal with during his first year their, the bullying, the alienation, and just no one giving him the time of day, especially the people that should have been doing that in the first place, ryohei was in a bad spot. and he was just lucky that he didn't become some bully's plaything since he actually knew how to defend himself with all the judo and tae kwon do that he learned and still took classes for.
— 14 years old to 19 years old - life with kim jinwoo - once ryohei was forced to retake the sixth grade, disappointing his parents for what was probably the first time in his life, it soon became apparent that that would be a thing. because once he ended up meeting kim jinwoo, the only person that had ever given him the time of day and cared for him, ryohei found it hard to care about anyone else. and with jinwoo being a magnet for bullies and not really being the strongest and the healthiest of boys, ryohei found himself doing anything and i mean anything for the other boy. because jinwoo was worth it and while the other boy wasn't going to die any time soon or anything like that, ryohei couldn't help but not be worried about him. especially since the summer of 2011 ended up changing their relationship and made ryohei a thousand times more protective of the other boy.
— summer of 2011 - for the most part, summer of 2011 wasn't much different from other summers, but during the end of it, it was much different. not because it had been super hot or anything like that, but the two had decided to go on a camping trip at jinwoo's assistance since jinwoo had never been camping before. and due to that fact, ryohei couldn't help but want to do something like that with the other boy. but what started off as a pretty fun trip of hiking and camping out under the stars, it quickly turned deadly when jinwoo had ended up falling down a small cliff and into the river. something of which woudln't have happened if ryohei had just paid the other boy a bit more attention to. because if he hadn't had turned his back to the other, going off on his own to check out that creepy cave the two had found close by, then jinwoo probably wouldn't have tripped, fell and then found himself in freezing cold water seconds later, causing him to get hyperthermia and pneumonia in the process. two things that had almost taken his life and if ryohei hadn't been as good of swimmer as he had been and hadn't have dived into the water to save the almost drowning boy, jinwoo wouldn't even be around. so feeling guilt about jinwoo almost dying, ryohei became a lot more protective of the older boy. So much so, that even looking at the boy wrong usually had people ending up in the hospital. luckily by 2012, most bullies gave up on targeting jinwoo, most of them too afraid to go under ryohei's wrath.
— 20 years old - military life - at least he's not with his parents anymore, that's all ryohei has to say about it. so no more of having to hear his father look at jinwoo or even refer to jinwoo as scum and the reason for why ryohei changed or having to see his mother give him disappointed looks whenever he came home with a few bruises or bad grades. he wouldn't have to listen to either of them complain about what he wants to do when he gets out of school or how he's not going to college or how that jinwoo boy is ing him up. and because of that, ryohei is okay with military life. only for the fact that he doesn't have to listen to his parents most of the time. and while he misses jinwoo's cooking, he'd rather deal with the ty food than have to deal with disappointing his parents for what was the millionth time in his life. plus, getting to shoot guns and beat people up was fun. and while the military officers running things aren't that cool and can piss him off from time to time, they're also quick to learn that ryohei isn't going to take their . and with him being quite decent at fighting and shooting a gun, he's better than most of the other kids, so they leave him and jinwoo well enough alone.

— Ever since ryohei saved jinwoo in sixth grade the two have been friends, close friends that is. because as much as their peers isolated them and made them feel worthless at times, the two were able to confide in and lean on each other. their bond easily growing from the fact that neither of them had any friends and that it was literally the two of them against the world. so between that and just constantly hanging out all the time, they became quite close and were pretty much attached to the hip after a couple of months into their relationship.
— however, it wasnt' untilt he summer of 2011 that things began to change, especially on ryohei's end. ryohei pretty much took it upon himself to be jinwoo's keeper and guard, literally devoting himself to the other boy, that it wasn't long before jinwoo couldn't help but find ryohei's intense nature to be something he found lovely. something of which would have driven most people insane, but with ryohei being his only friend for years and the very person that gave him strength, he coudln't help but feel good about the constant attention that ryohei gave him. attention that eventually turned into and something that caused their relationship to change once again. only for the fact that ryohei couldn't take jinwoo ignoring him as he tried to figure out his feelings and uality that ryohei couldn't help but offer himself up, if only that meant that jinwoo would continue to keep him.
— ANd while that would have set some alarm bells off, the two started experimenting with each other. and with ryohei having not been attracted to anyonre before, usually ignoring most people for jinwoo in the first place, their relationship might have changed, but it ended up changing naturally. the two ended up going from friends to lovers within a short amount of time. something of which would have made some people wary, but didn't really phase eithe rof them. because once jinwoo had gotten a taste of ryohei, he felt like he couldn't have anyone else, while ryohei was so in love, probably had been in love for years and just hadn't noticed it liked what the two were doing and wanted to continue what they were doing. because what was better than being able to have with your best friend, while also keeping them, but neither of the two wanting to do the stuff that they did with other people. Especially ryohei who eventually identified himself as demiual, so it wasn't like he was ever going to meet someone that he would really love again, unless something happened to jinwoo and caused that to change. while jinwoo just really couldn't see himself with anyone else. ryohei was his best friend, his lover, his soulmate, and after years of having no one to having someone like ryohei, he couldn't see himself with anyone else either.

— on the outside looking in, most people think the two's relationship is way too intense and pretty much borders on unhealthy. which is kind of true, but it works for them, since both are quite intense, at least for each other. and after being with each other for about 10 years of their life and not even getting sick of each other, it probably isn't going to change anytime soon. but with jinwoo, most people can see how much the other cares about ryohei... the soft look in his eyes and the way he talks to ryohei, voice soft and almost filled with kindness, it's pretty apparent that jinwoo loves the taller boy and that ryohei is pretty much the only person he cares for, at least in a way that is more than just superficial. and while some people have commented on this, sometimes making fun of jinwoo for it, it only takes a few words like 'I could be you, someone that doesn't get laid on a regular basis and is pretty much hurting to have something like this' or 'at least someone loves me... but then again, i'm not an idiotic plebe that has the personality of a cockroach.' but overall, most people can see that jinwoo has a soft spot for ryohei and pretty much no one else.
— while ryohei is always seen joking and smiling with jinwoo, constantly having fun, even if jinwoo doesn't do much more than smile and occasionally laugh from time to time. because despite jinwoo not giving much away when people are around, ryohei knows that if the two of them were alone, he'd be laughing his off with him. jinwoo softly punching him in the arm, telling him how much of an he is... even if jinwoo is capable of being much worse. but when they're alone, jinwoo doesn't have to pretend to be mean or feel like he has to compensate in anyway. he is genuinely comfortable around the other boy and he can't help but find ryohei funny and sweet and so freaking y that it isn't long before jinwoo puts his head on his hand and says something stupidly inappropriate that gets ryohei hot and bothered. that ryohei can't help but give the other a grin before making the other laugh once again, only for him to follow up with a kiss... things usually leading into something more.
— ryohei can be a little handsy, constantly touching jinwoo, but jinwoo isn't afraid to pat ryohei on the head or lean into him from time to time when the two are in public. but behind closed doors, jinwoo can't help but attach himself to the other male, not caring if he's literally sitting on him or is attached to him like a koala. and when either of the two are upset, the two will cuddle up when they can, ryohei usually backhugging jinwoo, head on top of the other's head or spooning together on the couch or bed or whatever is comfy at the time. but just being near each other usually does wonders for both of them since they easily find comfort from each other and have been finding that for years. however, despite how physically attached they get to each other, they don't show that behavior with anyone else and most would probably get hurt if anyone tried.
— and heaven forbid if someone talks or hurts jinwoo, because as soon as someone says anything or does something to jinwoo, ryohei's demeanor quickly changes. gone goes the fun loving individual and out comes the hunter that is just hiding under the surface and is someone more than willing to do some bloodshed. because as much as ryohei can seem happy go lucky with jinwoo, he's ing scary. because underneath the laughter and humor that ryohei has, he's a little bit psychotic. And he doesn't really care about who he hurts as long as jinwoo's okay.
INTERVIEW
what do you make of the mandatory enlistment? » Well, it would only be korea that would do something like this. any other country making it's teenagers enlist and kill aliens for the hell of it. stupid government, too involved in making money and keeping their ing mansions, than actually trying to help the country. But whatever, it could be worse, at least i'm away from my psychotic 'rents that probably don't even care. they probably think i'll change because of this, but i won't. too stupid to do such a thing. (grins) it'll take a lot to break me.
what do you think of the alien orbs? » don't think much about them. they're ing orbs that kill people and as long as they're not hurting me or jinwoo, I don't really care for them. But jinwoo says I should care, because eventually they'll kill the both of us. but i won't let that happen ever.
how are you holding up with training? » ing easy as pie. and being able to shoot guns and kick people's asses that I dislike all day is pretty awesome. (snorts a little in laughter) Jinwoo says I like it too much, but it's ing easy and it's definitely something i'm good at and can do.
any classmates you don't trust or can't stand? » most of them, but i can handle myself. none of them really scare me, especially when most of them can't even shoot a gun.
classmates that you trust or like? » i trust gain as much as I can throw her, but she's friends with jinwoo and i trust her until I can't trust her anymore. but the seems to know what is good for her, so I don't think she's going to do something like betray either of us anytime soon. if she does... Well, she's seen more than enough of what I can do.
who's most likely to die in your class? » that soojung girl, too much of a priss to survive for long, and if an alien doesn't kill minho, the rest of the class will. the guy's mouth is even worse than a sewer... that better learn what's good for him, because I can't deal with all the ing he does.
would you kill if you had to? alien or human. » well, yeah... no hair off my back. Might feel a little bit of remorse if i did kill a human, but they probably had it coming in the first place. I may like a little blood, but I'm not completely mental, you know?
