Help me come up with a story

So for my English assignment, I'm writing a story and I have no idea what to write about. It's needs to be kind of like two stories since there needs to be two sides of a story from each character  who then meet at the end. Now, this could have easily been some romance based on fate but that is kinda awkward to use for a school assignment so I don't know. > < Somebody give me ideas.

How about a story from the perspective of a student and teacher, cop and criminal, killer and victim, or ex-lovers who meet again?

What about a story about a mother and a daughter?
From the mother's perspective, her daughter is a good-for-nothing and is always full of faults
but from the daughter's perspectives, she has her own scars that she can't talk about and that there's a reason why she became that way?
and at the end..
idek they somehow meet and talk and get things smooth LOL

Maybe separate crime scenes and at the end they can help each other because it's the same killer (???)

I keep thinking of a family member, that looks exactly the same.
One being introverted or shamed into exile.
And the other popular and bold.
They meet and either freak out or aren't bothered...
