➤ "OH MY GOD, AZUSA-SAN, MAKI-SAN, YOU LOOK LOVELY TODAY." you'd usually hear kaya cheering in the early morning with a smile plastered upon her face. she's such a doll, isn't she? around the m.e.a.z peers, you'll usually hear about how kaya's positive attitude in the morning always keeps their worries at bay. it is true that she is popularly seen with a smile on her face and is always willing to help around the camp, but that's not all; she is also very intelligent and often draws out plans for the m.e.a.z members to abide by (ofc there are those that go off and do their own thing. side eyes), as she claims she only wants to help everyone live through this apocalypse. she makes back up plans for back up plans and views every situation, knowing the personalities of the other m.e.a.z members and often snaps when something does not go according to plan. wow she sounds so great, doesn't she. wow. like wow. kaya is so great, don't you think? yeah, she thinks so too. ahah jokes, kaya isn't great at all, she's complete trash who disguises herself as a positive and caring person but in reality, she is rotten and the kind of girl you shouldn't trust with your life.

DO US A FAVOR AND DISAPPEAR." w0w kaya, where did your personality go sour? was it because somebody defied you? someone ruined your plan? she is a ticking time bomb, in all honesty. despite her smiling appearence, she will show her true colors to one person at a time. i mean, she told a 'friend' that kaya would kill his family if he ever disobeyed her perfect plan ever again. then when he tried to complain that kaya is actually a demon, no one else believed him: "you mean kaya who is always greeting us in the morning with a smile? yeah, right. she's an angel." wow, poor guy. needless to say, others lost respect for him even though he was telling the truth. it's hard to believe that kaya is such a cruel female when everyone is manipulated into believing she is such a kind soul. the true kaya is the epitome of selfish. she wouldn't even have a second thought in sacrificing you to a hoard zombies as long as it would buy her time to escape. respect? psh, kaya respects no one. she's the kid that elders would look at and blame for what is wrong with the younger generation. she always has something bad to say about somebody no matter who they are. she'll smile to your face, but betray you in .01 of a second.

WHY DOES MY LIFE ." why is such a selfish person apart of m.e.a.z? i mean, isn't the group supposed to help humankind? yeah, well, kaya never actually volunteered to be apart of the group. it was a simple misunderstanding and now she is stuck with them. kaya is weak on her own, which is why she often refers to the m.e.a.z members as chess pieces. of course to their faces she's always like, you are like the king!! ur the queen. you're the rook, but rooks are amazing! but behind their backs, kaya just refers to them as her pawns. her pawns to help her survive this apocalypse. but on the real, she complains often, this feat can be seen on both sides of her. the cheerful kaya : "it's so hot out today, do we really have to travel someplace out? ah, i need water. why are times to rough. look, i ripped my pants, what am i going to do?" real kaya : "why am i surrounded by such idiots. tch. this is so lame. i want to leave. i hate my life, this ." someone please tell kaya to be quite and be grateful she is at least alive, gosh.

➤ "COME BACK NEVER, WORTHLESS PARENTS." parents? what parents. kaya does have parents but she never acknowledged them, i mean they were always so busy being in love and overly cheesy with one another. let me tell you it was disgusting. well, for kaya, at least. most people would be so happy that their parents are so deep in love but kaya found it repulsive like her parents had been married for 21 years and they were still hanging off of each other, urgh. but that's the thing, they were so in love with one another that they hardly paid attention to much else, even their children - the product of their love. "what good is love for if it makes you such a fool?" right on, kaya, right on. kaya and her brother went to and from school everyday without friends by their side. i mean, they never truly had social interaction at home so they were very socially awkward around others. this is what had morphed her personality. it wasn't that she was bipolar, but she often noted how others like a girl who is nice and caring upfront, though people often overlook what she had in her heart. thus, kaya became a girl who would smile and act cheerful around her friends, but easily give away their secrets or bash them online. she rather liked what it felt like to be in control of others, to watch them crumble under her words as she tapped at their weaknesses.
➤ "HISAYA, STOP BEING A PANSY." as her parents worked, kaya would often pick up her younger brother from school. let me tell you that kaya found that to be tiresome. sure, they were related by blood by she doesn't want to waste her time picking him up from school. she often looked down on her brother who was always all smiles as a child. he was the more positive of the two. "it's nice that we live in such a loving home." "dummy, they only love one another and not us." "that's not true! this morning dad smiled at me!!" kaya found it irritable how hisaya was oblivious to their surroundings. she already knew they never had a proper childhood because whenever their parents took vacations, it would just be the two of them while they left kaya and hisaya at home to fend for themselves, or they never got to meet their extended family because, apparently, their parents cut ties with their family when they got married, which left the siblings all the more alone. why didn't hisaya understand that? why couldn't he comprehend that they were alone in the world. since kaya was the older sibling, she understood faster than he did and often criticized his positive comments. hisaya had always trailed kaya around everywhere she went, no matter how much she she scolded him. as she was so upfront around him, he soon picked up her mannerisms, except his facade was opposite of hers. as she was truly mean to him, he started acting mean, but kept his true positive and caring personaity locked away to prevent kaya from yelling at him more.

➤ "HERE, EAT THIS AND SHUT UP." surprisingly, kaya is a really good cook. this stems from her always having to cook dinner for herself (and then giving the leftovers to her young brother) as she grew up because her parents often forgot to make dinner for the children.
➤ "MAYBE IF YOU WEREN'T SO IMCOMPETENT." if a member of m.e.a.z gets killed, you can bet that kaya is behind it. if somebody stands up to her or finds out her real personality, she'll quickly rearrange a plan to kill them off. with a sincerely fake apology, she'll make up with them, only to gain their trust to kill them off. if someone often wanders into the real world, it is most likely they were tricked by kaya. ("oh, it's clear to go outside, i'll watch your back.") but instead, she ditches them and makes it look like she was never there as they get attacked by zombies. she even makes plans for when m.e.a.z goes out to fight, that a certain person would be trapped and ultimately killed.
➤ "CHECKMATE." how is kaya such a strategist? she's played chess ever since she was a child. she would play by herself or online, but since the game requires the player to plan for all situations, kaya has carried that over to real life. often when someone dies according to plan, she'll mutter "checkmate" with a smirk.
➤ "IF I MUST EXPLAIN.." her parents were at work during the outbreak. they are both teachers at a private school across town. they leave early every morning and come back late at night. kaya never even worried for her parents when zombies appeared. they are dead, succumbing to the fate of zombies.
➤ "SAY, DIDN'T YOU SAY YOU HAD A SISTER YOU KILLED?" as kaya often sits back and watches the other members of m.e.a.z fighting zombies, she has grown to understand their abilities as well as their personalities. therefore, she also knows their weaknesses. if she ever needs, she'll bring up something they wish to forget just to see them writhe at the memory. it gives her joy to see ther power she has over others when she pokes at their weaknesses.
➤ "GO AHEAD. TRY AND KILL ME." it's miracle nobody has tried to kill her yet. like wow she is such a jerk. then again she'll act scared and cry loudly as she waits for someone to come and protect her. however, if no one is around, she'll defend herself with her dagger, gladly killing anyone who tries to kill her.
➤ "MY WORLD IS FALLING APART." something kaya hates more than anything is dirtying her clothes. weird, right? times are desperate, thus clothes are also desperate, so she gets angry whenever somebody touches her with dirty hands or she gets anyone's blood on her clothes. she'll fall into minor depression as she curses her life for such pain.
SHINKAI HISAYA ) kaya's younger, 15 year-old brother. you see, while kaya acts kind, but is truly cruel; hisaya acts tough and harsh, but is actually an overly caring guy who shrugs off his caring actions with some lame excuse. apparently he was lost when the apocalypse started, but in truth, kaya pushed him down some stairs as the zombies broke into their home. he's strong when it comes to fighting but he's always seen flirting with girls because isn't that what they like? ??

PRIMARY WEAPON )
➤ FORESIGHT weapon? oh dear, no. kaya doesn't actually fight as much as she stands back in a hidden place and gives directions to the nearest escape route. her most notable contribution is maps and routes for those who need it. of course if a zombie ever does attack her while the other members have their hands full, she will use whatever is nearest to her to try and defeat the zombie. a rock? you bet she'll pick it up and throw it at their head. heck she'll even take off her shoe and throw it. up close confrontation puts too much risk that she'll become infected so the distance battle is the kind she prefers.
➤ DAGGER she does have a dagger that she swiped from the first time she and m.e.a.z raided an armory, but does she use it against zombies? nah. daggers revolve around fights up-close and that is too dangerous for her. throwing the dagger? why would she throw away the only weapon she has? therefore, kaya keeps the dagger wrapped around her right thigh. she uses it for self-defense for personal reasons.
FIGHTING STYLE ) kaya has always been the type of girl to strategize. if she ever must fight, she'll aim for a zombie's weak points. their head, for example, it's the obvious target so that is where she aims. during a fight, kaya also tries to help out her fellow members but warning them if a zombie is approaching.
HOW YOU JOINED THE M.E.A.Z ASSOCIATION )
➤ "WAIT. WASN'T THIS GROUP HEADED TO THE SAFE CAMP?!" lmao nah, kaya, nah. you see, when the outbreak happened, she was home with her brother. once she sacrificed him, she instantly hid from them, observing their habits and what they were attracted to. once she figured that out, she planned her escape and snuck out of her neighborhood. she met up with a couple of neighbors as the whole crowd hear of the government setting up safecamps and where to meet at to be taken to them. the pack started out but many were killed during the trek and some were left behind by kaya. she ended up being the lone survivor from her neighborhood due to her sacrificing them and not looking back. she was late to meet up with fellow humans and when she did, she mistakingly joined the group that was breaking away to fight the zombies. in all truth, kaya saw people near her age gathering in the group and simply figured "oh the government must be taking us to a safer place than the 'safe camp' they advertised. i mean, we are the future of this country." yeah, she never even bothered to socialize with any of her peers because, well, what business could she possibly have with them? ick. kaya found out all too late that the group she joined was to be called m.e.a.z and they resolved to kill zombies and restore the country. "okay, but why do i have to assist? i am the only one who needs to live, who cares about the other citizens." and that is how kaya came to the resolve to use m.e.a.z to protect her under the gise that she is trying to help keep everybody alive. i mean, a bunch of kids who are strong in defeating zombies? maybe that's better protection than at the government safe camps.
YOUR ROLE IN THE GROUP ) she tries her best to help the others in any ways she can ( translation : she half asses her potential but puts enough effort in to make it it seem she's a useful member. ) whether it be cooking meals for the members or listening to their problems ( which, by the by, what kaya hates most of all, but bares through it. ) mostly she smiles at everybody and tries to mentally relax them, i mean, in the middle of an apcalypse where you could die at any second, a smile can put you a little at ease, but most of all, kaya lends her brain to the group and draws out landmarks within the city and formulates pathways or any escape routes with her information.

"it was horrible. i mean, i knew my life was down in the dumps as it was, but," kaya looks down at her lap with a sorrowful gaze, "i never thought this kind of thing was real. my first thoughts initially went to my family: are they safe? how do i save them? what am i supposed to do?" at this point, kaya's gaze soon became blurred with tears threatening to fall. ( kisaya : wow, she's totally lying, she would never think of us in such a situation, she was probably just thinking about herself and who she would use as a human shield or something. whoops, it was me. )
IF SOMEONE YOU CLOSE TO YOU WERE TO BE INFECTED, WHAT WOULD YOU DO?
"that's impossible because i have no one that is close to me." she replied without much thought. hearing what she just said, she flinched and quickly tried to cover it up. no way she is going to show her true self this early. "i.. i mean, i would cry as i beg another member of m.e.a.z to put them out of their misery." ( kisaya : you're not fooling anyone with your facade, kaya. ) "fine, idiot. really, though, i have no one that would make me care if they were infected or not."
AZUSA ASKS "WOULD YOU RATHER KILL 50 INNOCENT CIVILIANS TO SAVE THE LIFE OF YOUR MOST BELOVED OR WOULD YOU KILL YOUR MOST BELOVED TO SAVE THE LIVES OF 50 INNOCENT CIVILIANS?"
"why can't i just kill them all if the situation comes up. it seems easiest. then i wouldn't have to be reminded of the lives i took while i look at the life i saved." ( kisaya : that might work if you weren't so useless. ) "shut up, trash." she turns back to face azusa with furrowed brow as she sticks her index fingers right in front of his face. "i would let them all die because my life is all that matters to me."

COMMENTS, QUESTIONS & CONCERNS ) i don't know what happened. i was here ready to write a character different from the others and wow kaya came out. she is so flawed like there are hardly any good points to her. i guess she's more of an antagonist sort of character. i hope that's okay, ah, of course she could grow as a character or something. lies down. also thank you for making this fic !! ! screams i love anime faceclaims and i look forward to this.

➤ if she has a love interest, when kaya realizes she has strange feelings for the person, her only solution is to get rid of them and by 'get rid of' i mean she plans to sacrifice them to zombies, but it fails and her love interest comes through and it's basically kaya trying to kill off her love interest because why does she worry about this person it's so annoying it's a foreign feeling, gah.
➤ her brother being alive and one day, m.e.a.z finds him and it's a miracle and everybody is super happy except the siblings because; hisaya: "i think i'd rather risk it with the zombies than be taken to my sister." kaya: "why is he still alive, this puts a damper on my plans." of course, her brother would join m.e.a.z, and despite them being siblings, they avoid one another.
➤ i dunno i mean, kaya is pretty trash, but maybe she becomes friends with someone and they accept her for who she is. but who'd wanna be her friend. ahah def not me, bye.
➤ like i don't mind if you wanna kill off kaya later in there series o h. like maybe she can die in vain or she can die protecting her brother, friend, or love interest. wow thats a huge step for her tbh because normally she'd never think of dying for someone else.
➤ kaya listening to other members as they tell her their life story and she's all interested and sympathetic but on the inside she is cussing away and yelling she hates her life.

➤ if any of the characters have their family members die during their time at m.e.a.z, you can have kaya be behind their deaths. like cause conflict between them and kaya and then boom, they dead. she tricked them or something.
