Happy Easter, everyone! Currently in Holland, just outside of Amsterdam, staying in this pretty wicked bird sanctuary. There are ostriches here. And damn loud geese. And other birds. They're all loud and obnoxious but gotta love them. Crazy stuff's been happening, the least of which being that I was indirectly responsible for this little furry chihuahua thing falling into the water at Keukenhof, but that's a tale for another time.

Once again, I have forgotten my anniversary on the site. And this was a pretty big one: 5 years. Count 'em, one two three four five! Five freaking years of being driven crazy on a daily basis by a variety of people, five years of accidentally posting on my own wall instead of replying to people, five years of wondering if Jason's actually read my message or just verbally replied without thinking about typing back a response (he's done it a couple times and admitted it lmao), and five years of writing about them wacky, tacky kpop boys that make up DBSK! Err, TVXQ. JYJ. You get me. Moving on.

I've been here through a lot of things (the great karma war, the H rating, the tagbox days, The FicExchange) and missed some other things (the Great Crash of...some year, karma farms). It's been real insane, and yet I'm still here, aren't I? And we still don't have free coffee. So why am I here again? Lol kidding. When I'm back at the house, I'll write up something more formal, but for now, yay five years!

And today is also AFF's birthday, so happy birthday AsianFanfics! Six years old! You're still not even old enough to ask for wine in Europe (though if you're as tall as the bar/counter, they may just not care and give it to you). You're in kindergarten. Barely in school. Start learning! And stop stealing cookies from the cookie jar! Keeper has put forth a pretty brilliant idea on what to do, and I think we should make it the official thing to do ;D

Day 1: What I like most about AFF

I must say, I rather like the fact that AFF has always listened to user feedback and taken what people actually want and have it as a feature or cool thing on the site. Very few sites out there do that, as they usually do what they want and to hell with everyone else. But Nichiren has always listened to his users, heard what they wanted to see, and done his best to satisfy everyone. I really have to give it up for him and for all the staff and users who have come together to make this site what it is today. Without everyone's involvement, well...we'd still be on that fugly layout from before the circles lol
