FASHION STYLE
If it's distressed, Mina loves it. She embraces the punk rock look, from distressed jeans and cut off tees to leather jackets and high tops. As the drummer, her fashion is often hidden behind the drumset, which allows her to be more extravaggant in her styling. If she were to have a fashion twin, it would be a cross between Lindsay Lohan's character in "Freaky Friday" and the late actor James Dean. It's a clean but edgy look, something that she can rock on both sides of the drumset and on or off the stage.
PERSONALITY
Mina is absolutely full of fire. Despite her small stature, she packs a punch and is full of energy, something that comes in handy when playing the drums. She's almost always the first one to wake up and the last one to fall asleep, a habit that she knows she needs to work on (it's probably due to all her caffeine consumption). Sometimes her punchiness and energy gets on her fellow members's nerves and she needs to tone it down, which is something she struggles with but is working on. When it's all said and done, Mina always has the most powerful performances that make her memorable despite her position hidden behind the drumset.
TRIVIA
>> LIKES - coffee coffee coffee, twirling things in her hand, composing lyrics/writing poetry
>> DISLIKES - milk, wearing dresses (most of the time anyways)
>> HOBBIES - playing soccer, writing in her journal
>> HABITS - twirling things in her hand, talking in Japanese in her sleep
BACKGROUND
Mina Aoki was born in Seoul, South Korea and was put up for adoption when she was three weeks old. Shortly thereafter she was adopted by an elderly couple who had no children from Tokyo, Japan, where Mina was then raised her entire life. She thorougly loved everything about her life in Japan and couldn't imagine life any other way. Granted she was a fiery child and did get into fights on the playground and verbal arguments in middle school, but she was also able to channel her energy into her studies as well. It was when she was seven that her parents bought her her first drumset as another outlet for her to get her aggression out, and form there on, the rest is history (she actually tore through the first set of heads within the first two weeks of her getting the set). Mina was addicted to the rat-tat-tat of the drumsticks on the drumheads and would race home every day after school to practice. She formed a band with a few schoolmates and they won their middle school's talent show, but they broke apart shortly after that (Mina was a little hard to get along with, she was too punchy for most middle school girls's tastes). Little did Mina know there was a scout from FNC Entertainment in the crowd at that time who was thoroughly impressed with her drumming skills and offered her the opportunity to sigh a contract with the company and move to Seoul as a trainee. Much persuasion wasn't needed; her parents were thrilled at the idea of Mina getting to travel back to her homeland, especially if she could play music too. And now here we are, with Mina set to debut in FNC's latest group FAE as their drummer, vocalist, and rapper.
PLOTLINE
PLOTLINE #4 Mina has been drumming nearly her entire life, but that's not all she can do. She's a self-taught rapper and vocalist and a pretty decent dancer, thanks to all her fancy footwork learned when playing soccer. Her drumming idol is Travis Barker of Blink-182 as they're both lefties who play on right drum setups, as well as Ringo Starr, the original left-handed drummer. Vocally she's got an raspier voice (to fit her edgy style), something along the lines of Kim BoA of SPICA. As a rapper, she like to emulate the styles of TLC in their flow and vocal tone. As a dancer she's most similar to Kwon Yuri of SNSD with clean lines and good rhythm. She does not have any idol relatives (that she knows of...she is adopted after all), but she did make good friends with Kang Minhyuk of CNBlue as a trainee and considers him like an older brother. The two of them enjoy talking about all things drumming and he provides a supportive, listening ear to Mina when she needs to vent. They'll often go out and watch a local soccer match and enjoy a meal together, just enjoying each other's company when they have time off and relishing the chance to blow off some steam. Prior to her debut, Mina was a spokesmodel for Nature's Republic, Skinfood, and Etude House. She modelled spreads for Vogue Korea and was featured in Rolling Stone Magazine as an artist to watch. She also had a minor/cameo role in "You're Beautiful," which starred her labelmates Yonghwa and Hongki.
LOVE INTEREST - Park Jimin of BTS
PERSONALITY - If Mina were to be cloned as a man, chances are she'd be Park Jmin. He's a near carbon copy of her - bubbly, always smiling, and full of positive energy. He's physically active (lead dancer) and is also a lead vocalist. But he also has a sensitive side to him, something s don't know much about but that Mina can coax out of him because of their similarities.

RELATIONSHIP - While it's not official, Mina and Jimin are, for all intents and purposes, a couple. However, since she has yet to debut, she cannot reveal any romantic interests or relationships. That being said, Mina and Jimin still find time for each other despite their busy schedules, be it though Skypeing or texting.

HISTORY - Mina met Jimin when BTS was doing a photoshoot for Nature's Republic. She had just finished her own shoot with them when she ran into "Chim Chim." Being the two hot heads that they are, they exchanged in a battle of wits, quickly winning over each other's hearts (but each too proud to admit it). It was at the beckoning of matchmaker V that they exchanged numbers, and nearly a year later they are still going strong.
