Aeyoung is kind of a girly-girl and she dresses pretty preppy. She loves to wear skirts and dresses as she thinks they're easier to move around in plus boy like it. With her skirts and dresses, she'll never be seen without wearing thigh high socks, this is because she has a scar that she wants to hide. It's actually quiet amazing because Aeyoung can play any sports while wearing a dress, this also goes the same for shoes. Aeyoung loves to wear high heels and is an expert in running in them, however when she gets serious, joggers are her best friends. She is a cliché but not a stereotypical cheerleader (lol, I think those two words mean the same thing xD). It’s like a switch with Aeyoung, never get her pissed or else you get to see her mean side, she’s a bit contradicting but hey, humans are full of contradicting traits. Once you flip her switch, Aeyoung becomes the stereotypical cheerleader; she becomes a mean, sassy and arrogant girl. She’s a really sporty girl and focuses on sports more than anything else and becomes arrogant about it, she thinks she’s the best, that no one can stop her and that she’s just perfect all together – when you get her pissed. A way to get her pissed is to be better at her at the things she’s good at, which comes in perfectly with her competitiveness. Aeyoung is really competitive and loves a good competition between people who are on the same standard and better than her, so she can finally beat them and reclaim her title of being the best. She can also be a bit selfish at times, she likes to talk about hows she's pretty all that stuff.

She can be mean – very mean – to the people she’s competing against, which can sometimes ruin her reputation as she’s meant to be the angel and preppy cliché cheerleader. She’ll look angry most of the time and will plot her every move to beat the other person, which, according to her roommate, can seem really cute at times. Aeyoung is flirtatious as well and not just when her switch is flipped, she’s flirty in general. She likes to focus most of her time thinking about boys whenever there’s nothing sporty to do. Most people find this side of her quiet annoying since – even though she spends her time cheerleading and that – she talks about boys 24/7, she’s kind of boy crazed and will always get the boys she goes for. Aeyoung loves being in the same room as Se Eun as they can relate a bit on so many things, mostly about boys, since the both of them are flirts. Se Eun is a clean person and that's just how Aeyoung likes it. They'd always talk about boys (if not boys then something else) and they'd sometimes talk about their secrets, well only when Aeyoung brings it up. Sometimes Se Eun would get annoyed with Aeyoung when she talks about a certain someone over and over and over again, she's become used her talking about him that if she'd ever stop it'd worry her. During that one year Seeun wasn't around, Aeyoung got lonely, so what she would do like almost every night, she'd plan up a sleepover - which was normally not allowed, but she couldn't help it - she was lonely! And if she wasn't allowed people to sleepover she would sneak into the other girls dorms and sleep there - only if she could get in. However Aeyoung was normally not allowed to do that so she would mostly sulk about her loneliness (btw, this is over exaggerating almost everything she does), but normally she would just enjoy her alone time and try to stay away from her dorm as much as she could.

Like Aeyoung, Youngjae kind of also has a switch, his real side is the lazy yet caring side and the other side is when you piss him off, so he gets a bit too ist when you piss him off, which can happen a lot. Youngjae is kind of ist, maybe just only to the girls he doesn’t like which is majority of them. You wouldn’t think that Youngjae had such traits since he looks like an innocent little thing with glasses (yes, he wears glasses), but this boys can be a bit full of himself at times. He thinks that boys are better than girls, which boys are the better gender seeing how they’ve made history and girls haven’t.  He doesn’t look like the type of person, but Youngjae is secretly sporty and uses it as a secret weapon, so if you’re ever going to piss him off you better not do it while you’re bad at sports – he’ll brag every single second he gets. A way to piss him off is if you brag about how you’re better than him at almost everything, including sports – which is like whoa, since he’s not that type of person – he’ll do everything to beat you, be it academics or sports.

Youngjae is lazy by nature, not because of his genes but because he’s starting his own (it’s possible, genes have to start somewhere). Kinda think of Shikamaru from Naruto but a bit more cheerful when you think about Youngjae. He is brains and brawns; Youngjae gets his smarts from his mother and his stamina from his father. His mother had an IQ of about 150 and so does he, even if he doesn’t study, this is because he has photographic memory. His mother had tutoring lessons for him when he was younger to test out his smarts, so ever since then he only needs to see the formula once to understand it. As for his stamina – Youngjae was always a lazy kid, carefree and relaxed, he hated going outside and do anything active, however his father hated him for that – his father was a sports star, a prodigy at swimming and basketball – so what he did was force Youngjae to stop studying and go outside to play some sports, even though it was tough to get him actually outside (Youngjae was about 10 at the time). His father would always push him to become better at sports like he was when he was younger but once he started going to high school he stopped pushing his son so he could finally go to a good college. Youngjae can’t bother to get up, he will always ask his roommate to do almost everything for him, plus he rarely attends classes as he’s always seen sleeping almost anywhere and everywhere. He doesn’t really care about the feud and just sits peacefully while watching the others fight, he’s quiet relaxed and won’t move an inch. Let’s just say he doesn’t give a damn about a lot of things.

He is normally straightforward and blunt to the people he doesn’t like, he won’t care if what he says hurts the other person he’ll just say whatever’s in his mind, and sometimes he has dry humor. This also goes with his honesty even though his honesty is a positive thing it come sometimes come out as a bad thing. He doesn’t like to lie to other people. Youngjae can be sarcastic and witty at times, most of the times are when you’re disturbing his nap and for the rest of the day he’ll become a grumpy grandpa with witty sarcastic comebacks at almost everything.

However, in all honesty, Youngjae does have a kind heart deep down inside that he only uses towards his friends and those who are close to him. When you first meet him you wouldn’t believe that his negative traits are what they are, he has a charming and adorable smile and will always act polite to the elders. He is a caring person as to refer to when he was a child and he would help at a rescue shelter – his father worked there after his sports career died down – (most of his negative traits came from his father) he is probably only caring to animals as he finds them comforting, well next to music obviously. He’ll always stick up to his friends and will always be there for them even if it means risking his own life. He is actually very patient to people and will never rush anyone; he’ll stay by their side until their done. So in short, if you’re friends with Youngjae and won’t piss him off, then all you’ll get is his positive traits plus some of his neutral and negative mixed together. Ever since Aeyoung has gotten into college every guy would drool over her, always asking her out and always sending her gifts, and if you're a guy from Sigma Xi Alpha you'd notice her beauty. However there was one guy who didn't give a damn about her and he was in Sigma Xi Alpha. She knew about their feud but that never stopped her from flirting with the other side, the guys would find her pretty, but  there was one guy who thought otherwise. His name was Youngjae. He didn't give a damn about her and he didn't give a damn about the feud just like her but for a different reason, he was just too damn lazy to care. Youngjae didn't like women as his mother was always so bossy and hard on him, so he didn't pay attention to her, this made her pissed. ​For some reason she didn't like the feeling of one guy not noticing her, so she made it her "mission" to make him hers. Ever since then she's been rejecting the thoughts of other guys and focused on only Youngjae. Miss Perfect Reputation naggs to Aeyoung every single second she gets for flirting with the enemy, Aeyoung would get scholed a lot too for sometimes putting guys first before girls. She kind of became a stalker, she knows the places where Youngjae would skip class and go to sleep and she knows all his "interests". The reason why interests is in speech marks is because she thought that all he liked to do was lay around and study, but she was dead wrong. She became kind of devestated when she found out that she knew nothing about him and she was the most surprised when everyone found out about his secret weapon, she never knew that he was so sporty and that he had the ability to get up and actually run. When she found out how sporty he is her point of view of him changed and it was like another switch. Whenever Youngjae would participate in sport events Aeyoung's obsession would fade away and she would become competitive.

Aeyoung finds guys like Youngjae mysterious because he rarely talks - that was her first thought on him, that  ultimately changed when he spoke to her for the first time, his exact words were: "Girls are a nuisance, they're not needed in this world." This irritated her and made her want to punch him, but for some reason she couldn't. Aeyoung likes switches, she has a switch for her personality and she has a switch on her obsession with Youngjae. One moment she'll be head over heels in love with him and next she's trying to beat him in sports, it's pretty unrealistic if you think about it, but it's what makes her amazing too. She's different from the other girls since she actually likes one of the guys that they're rivaling against and as for Youngjae, his situation is different from the others since no one would've  thought that a girl from the other side would chase after him. Aeyoung also likes Youngjae because he's different from all the other boys in this college, plus he just seems so interesting and makes her want to know more about him. It's like there's an invisible string pulling them together and she's the only one who's noticing it. As for Youngjae's side, he finds her highly irritating and hates girls like her and he doesn't like cheerleaders as they're always so loud and happy and he isn't a really big fan of loud and happy. He tries his best to stay away from Aeyoung at times but whenever he's around her - which is mostly in class, when he attends - he becomes boastful about being smart and sportier and all that stuff so she could hate him.

Since Aeyoung is Aeyoung and she is popular and all that, no body would've guessed that she'd be the one chasing after a guy let alone someone from Sigma Xi Alpha, especially Choi Youngjae. Nobody really notices or approaches Youngjae, so it's surprising when you hear that someone is actually in love with them and the fact that she's an incredibly popular girl plus the head cheerleader. Aeyoung has been chasing Youngjae for almost 1/2/3 (you can pick how long if you like) years now and it's been so obvious that whenever Aeyoung talks about a boy they will automatically think that it's about Youngjae. Miss Perfect Reputation is against it and will try anything to try and get Aeyoung to not like him, but to Aeyoung it was impossible. Se Eun or Seulbi would always laugh, not in a mean way, at the sight of Aeyoung getting yelled at for a reason they do not know. A lot of people also dislike the fact that she likes Youngjae, and a lot of them are her fanboys.

This will be how they'd end up or towards that, a development between the two (?). Aeyoung always thought of Youngjae to just be a carefree person that has no problems in his life at all, but she never knew that he wasn't able to express what he wanted to do. Aeyoung found out that practically majority of Youngjae's life was taken by his parents, being told to study when he was younger and to play all different kind of sports. She never knew what he actually liked or what he wanted to do, which was play music. Nobody notices this side of him because it's always covered up. Aeyoung felt guilty because she never knew and would always tell him that she'd rather have his life than hers and that he had it good, but he never had a choice to express what he wanted to do. This is the same with Aeyoung, Youngjae would always think of Aeyoung as the girl who would always get whatever she'd want, a little spoiled brat. He'd think that she had it all, the popularity and the friends - which had all gotten to her head. When he found out about her past he also felt guilty, even more guilty than she did.

He'd always call her useless, unimportant to the world and hated. He actually never called her unimportant before but when he did, that's when Aeyoung stopped following him, it wasn't only that but when a picture of the old Aeyoung got out and spread througthout the school, she couldn't show her face to his ever again. She avoided him and stopped talking about him, the girls became worried, especially Se Eun. Youngjae found it empty without her and his hatred for women faded away and was replaced with the thoughts of bringing back Aeyoung's smile. 

 

Notes: Aeyoung knew Youngjae's past first and became cautious-ish around him, while Youngjae found about her past later on and when he did she stopped following him around and talking about him. He called her unimportant right before Minri put a picture of old Aeyoung around the school.

 Youngjae annoyingly sighed and scratched his head, he awkwardly turned towards the picture and Aeyoung. Girls are such a drag, His normal lazy face turned into a flustered one, "T-this girl...the girl in the picture, she's beautiful, probably the most beautiful girl I've ever seen, ugh. She looks kind, courageous, caring and selfless, this type of girl is a girl I'd go for...argh! I dunno, I was never good at these stuff! But I'm telling the truth, girl like her always get the guys they like."

Oh and Youngjae would be like all lazy and that unwilling to get up and dance but he decided to get up and ask Aeyoung - in a very lazy voice - if she'd like to dance with him and she, obviously, jumped around like a little kid in joy. Youngjae wasn't annoyed with Aeyoung, he smiled at her gently.
