"Hyun, you're back" she smiled

"Ne, I'm back" he smiled too

They then proceeded for dinner

Across the dining table, halmeoni was breathing really heavily and coughing really hard
JongHyun knew something wasn't right. 

"Halmeoni, is your medicine in your room?"

She nodded and JongHyun went to take her medicine

Beside her medicine was her medical report. It was lying there as if it was intentional to show JongHyun. He immediately knew that halmeoni wanted to express something but she couldn't put it into words. Since young, when halmeoni had something to say, she would leave traces of hints and not confronting it face to face. When he looked at the medical report, halmeoni was having third stage of lung cancer. 

JongHyun took the medical report and the medicine. He went to the dining table, gave halmeoni her pills and waited for her to soothe down.

"Hyun, the reason why I called you today is because of the medical report. Hyun, I was diagnosed with lung cancer. Second stage"

"Halmeoni, why didnt you tell me earlier?" JongHyun asked

"Halmeoni didn't want to let you worry" she said as she smiled"

"Halmeoni, you know you are the most important person in my life now, mum and dad passed away when I was young and you were the one who brought me up single handedly halmeoni" JongHyun said as he went up to his grandmother and held her hands. He had tears building up in his eyes

"Hyun-a, don't be sad, halmeoni is old, it's normal for me to have sicknesses at such old age. There's still one last wish of mine, can Hyun help me?"

"Anything for halmeoni"

"Hyun-a, I heard about the rumors going around about you, I'm pretty sure those are fake. But halmeoni really wants to see you having a girlfriend before my last breath. Can Hyun do this for me? For my sake?"

"Halmeoni, but.."

"Please Hyun?"

"Ne halmeoni, but halmeoni, those rumors, please do not trust them and I can swear that I'm 100% straight and I will have children in the future" he said as he raised his hand up
