i used to be able to sleep by myself since the age of seven, which was a huge accomplishment for little me, since Mr. Stuffykins and I were nearly inseperable before then. since then, the bed merely became a place for me to rest after a long night out or a tiring day at the grocery store where I worked.

But now that he's gone, i can no longer fall asleep like I used to. the reason to this has slipped from my head. maybe late nights remind me of stolen kisses, or the bed sheets still smell faintly of his cologne, but i know one thing: it's because of him. because of him, i can't close my eyes feeling a cold, empty space on the left side of the sheets. because of him, the apartment has just become cold. because of him, i'm lonely, and my eyes will forever stay wide open, waiting for him to slip back into my arms.
