(Not a) Good Morning
To the Surreal YouThe birds were chirping outside. The air was cool, not so warm yet no so cold.
It was such a peaceful morning to start the day.
The 18-year-old Kim Taeyeon was stepping out of the bathroom as she dried her hair with the towel. She hummed her favorite song as she put on her school uniform.
Then as usual, lastly she walked in front of her mirror--which was stuck on the wall beside the door--to check whether her appearance was already beautiful. The mirror was lengthy, it could reflect her whole body from head to toe, as a matter of fact that she was not actually really tall. Okay, she was short.
But that day was different.
She walked in front of the mirror and expecting to see her baby face reflected there.
And it startled her when she could not see her own reflection. Instead she saw a taller girl, with long black hair, white skin, skinny body, dressed in pink sweater and white skirt..
Taeyeon’s eyes popped open.
“OH MY GOD!” Taeyeon fell on her due the shock. Her jaw was dropped and her heart pounded like crazy. She even felt her knees gave away and her mind wandered everywhere.
“Hi,” the girl inside the mirror smiled as she squatted down to the same eye level as Taeyeon.
“What, who, where—“ Taeyeon stuttered, her face was all pale. “Don’t disturb me, evil spirit! I swear I’m gonna share my candies with little kids if you go away now, so pleaseee!” she pleaded as she closed her eyes with both of her palms.
The girl furrowed her eyebrows. “Evil spirit? Who?”
“Of course it’s you! Yah, you ghost, just go away, will you? Please, please, I’ll even confess to Jessica that I like her, but please just go awayyyyyy!” Taeyeon frantically waved her hand to shoo the mysterious reflection.
