“So this is. . . the Northern Woods. “

Patches of snow drenched at his rusty leather boots while he strolls through the endless darkness. “ I cannot sense anything. I cannot hear anything. “ He thinks, only flatting out in the thin line of unknown. “ Guess I should go back to father-“ The rustling sound behind him, stops him. “ W-Who’s there?”

A sharp wind travels towards him and, in a flash, with the use of both his hands, the nearby fallen tree floats and protects him from the strikes.

“ Ah. Sorry. I thought you are a hunter. “

He immediately withdraws the hanging object after hearing a human voice. “ Who are-“ Or a dead human thereof. “ –you? You are a vampire?”

The mysterious man only tilts his head sideways, cold eyes speaking out for him. He lifts his left arm and effortlessly lifts a lifeless body of a human. “ Want some?”

Impulses course through his body, watching the excessive amount of red liquid flowing down the dead man’s body, almost covering its whole face. He has heard this from his father. Those who drink without clotting back the bitten skin is to be avoided to which he is not completely aware why.

A hand drenched of blood invades his vision. “ Drink. “ A chilling voice emerges at his near proximity.

“ GAH!” He lurches backward, falling straight to the white cold mess, the dead body laid splattered on the ground. His eyes focus onto the single entity standing beneath the shadows created by the trees.

The man is slightly bewildered by his action, but stands motionless and still urges him.“ You are part of our kind, aren’t you? “

The numbing man shivers at the intensity of his voice, but witnessing a dead human alone makes his legs numb. “ O-Of course I am! I just- I don’t – I shouldn’t drink. “

Creeks of tingling branches from the freezing wind entrap them to solitude, the unconscious man quickly being covered by the pile of snow. Sehun focuses back to the fidgeting boy, noticing closely his rather pale yet glossy complexion. His eyes travel upwards and drag him to returning the stare the other was giving.

In those wondering eyes, he ventures further, looking through those crystal streaks. “ Oh? But you are hungry. “

“ I’m not-“

“ Very hungry. “

He can read me. Why can’t I read him?

“ What’s your name?”

Petrified, he hesitates. “ L-Luhan. I’m not at all lost if you are meaning to ask me. I’m just-“

“ Would you come with me then? Lu-han?” The sheer pressure behind the man’s words unnerves him, obviously taunting him with his pronunciation every syllable of his name.

“ Come with you? Where?”  He asks cautiously.

“ Dinner, why of course. It’s high time for predators to lurk the grounds, haven’t you know?“

Luhan focuses his sight back to the fallen figure behind the mysterious guy, then returned back to those red eyes. “ But. . . I thought you. . . You have fed, have you not?”

He receives a mere taunting smirk, leaning down to the poor soul. “ It isn’t enough. “

“ For satisfaction, yes it is enough. “ Luhan protests, his fist tightening in grip at the boy’s careless remark. “ You could have limited your crave to one innocent life at least. “

The other man snorts, finding the idea preposterous. “ You seem to be mistaken. “

“ What-“

“ I am not heartless as you are probably thinking right now. “ Sehun brushes the fallen snowflake at his shoulder. “ We don’t drink just anyone else. We crave for warm, rich-flowing blood- and a little sinful too. Nothing beats a taste of food mixed with lies, regrets, guilt, and unpleasant intents. “

Luhan is beyond lost. “ And. . . Who are those people?”

“ Who else? “ The smirk turns into a full-blown excitement. “ Sinners. Murderers, robbers, thieves. . .  And this one?” He kicks the fallen soul. “ He murdered a whole family on their fun-fun time with circus freaks. “

“ O-Oh. “

“ Yep. Tasty, hm?”          

 Baekhyun dislodges himself from Chanyeol’s arms in a flash, waking the latter in the process. “ Baek?” Chanyeol groggily pronounced.

“ I need to go, Yeol. “ The vampire speaks in strained tone. “ Sehun’s done something again. That bastard brother. “

“ What? What did he do? “

“ He disobeyed father’s orders. .  again.” A reluctant sigh. “ I- I should check on him. He’s not responding with my signals. “

The sickly boy smiles,  here was his lover acting all demanding and stiff, but his eyes told his concerns for his brother. “ Okay, it’s about time for medicine anyway. Will I see you tomorrow then? “

“ Of course!” The vampire unconsciously raises his voice at the impending doubt on Chanyeol’s question. “ Same time. I will be here. “

“ I will wait, Baek. Go now, before your brother does anything worse. “

Baekhyun strides to the window in heavy steps. “ I. . .” He peeks at his shoulder to meet Chanyeol’s gaze. It read promising and somewhat. .  warm. In inhumane reflex, his arms wraps around the pale slight throbbing neck, reddish sinned lips meeting once more Chanyeol’s dry inviting one.

“ I will see you tomorrow, right? Chanyeol? “ He whispers, their noses touching, with the taller nibbling at his lips while he speaks.

The boy just laughs with no accord even though there wasn’t anything laughable at his situation if he was to be honest. “ You’re making me crazy and bloody tempted, pretty vampire. May I have this treatment whenever I see you then? “

“ Can it be more?” There goes the slit of his eyes while they once again melt in each other’s arms.

“ Fcking tease you are. You need to go, Baekhyun. I’ll see you.”

“ Pfft. Fine.”

Luhan is in an unavoidable circumstance.

 “ Come on, Luhan. It’s not far away from here. Well, not that I know of. “ The man keeps on tugging his sleeve, pulling him to God knows where. It does not help that the winds are a little uncooperative at the situation, blurring his sight and hearing. This man is attentive, but weirdly enough, he does not have the optimum to retaliate.

“ Uhm, if it will not cause you more trouble, may I know your name at least?” He inquires, putting the other man into a stop to face him.

Sehun chuckles, the winds slowing down, joining its controller’s enthusiasm. “ You are a strange one, are you? We don’t really dwell on politeness that smoothly vigorous, but your mouth is a one, I can tell.”

He splutters. “ V- one?! I am of not that kind! I feed on the same thing that you desire!”

“ Luhan. Can you even kill someone?”

And it is a trap. Eyes are once again bore on him. “ I. . . “

He can read through those disbelieving eyes, but chose to lay the subject some other opportunity. “ Well, whatever. Just follow me. “

While trudging to the wet pathway and into the dark alley, Luhan is trying to interlink his thoughts with the stranger using his psychic ability, but to no avail finds only confusing clouds swirling. Is it because I’m hungry? He is focusing so hard to avert his sight from the probing veins from people they passed by, but from every sound and movement they create, his sensitivity desperately ploughs up.

Slowly, he starts hallucinating of drowning in fresh blood bitten straight from someone’s neck, his steps almost slowing down as he stares in space. How the red liquid courses through his veins quenching the tightness and enveloping his whole body

I . . . I need blood. . . I need. . . .

“ Hey. Luhan.”

Somebody. . . please let me drink. . .

“ Luhan!”

A sharp tug weighs on his shoulders, and he is pushed to the wall, his back meeting the cold concrete wall harshly. Once he lifts his head to see the intruder, he is faced with the same murderous eyesight.

“ I knew it. Spare me your reasons, Luhan,  you’re fcking hungry. “ The man exclaims in front of him, saying words he cannot understand at the moment. His head feels lighter, there is no way he could stand without support.

Ah. . . It hurts . . . my throat . . . hurts. . .

“ Goddamit, just look at your slitting eyes! You’re going to berserk in this town full of humans if I don’t control you right now. “Being stiff as a log, he watches the stranger dig something on his pocket. A knife he assumes, but he is no longer able to catch up with the rest of what he was doing.

Then the throbbing begins.

All of a sudden, every pump of the heart, every breathe, every churn, everything, he can hear everything.

He was about to break anything he sees-

-until Kim Sehun stopped him.

He isn’t quite sure how, when, it happened, but there’s a blood flowing from his lips down to his throat, down to his whole cycle. And before he became totally aware, his eyes are staring at his pale neck, rumbling, but still undistinguishable.

He realizes,  the man is feeding him his blood.

Under the roof of the lone castle flashed by the streak of a new moon, he hastily took off the covers, alerting his lover, Yixing, staring at the window.

“ Junmyeon-“

“ Where the hell is Sehun?! ”

Bottom!Luhan happened, though I didn’t intend for him to look too much of a damsel in distress here. It’s just how he is in this story, I guess.

Okay, for those reading Babies’ Day-Out with Papa, I accidentally posted this update there, so it returned in the latest BaekYeol story panel. But the truth is, I updated this one. Really really sorry! I promise to finish Babies' Day-out's update fast! >_<
