If Chanyeol was an Exo-anti fan before, he’s even more of an anti now. He cannot do anything without the short guy looking over his shoulder and asking questions about god knows what! He asks about the differences between America and South Korea and even asks Chanyeol where he prefers to live. Then he talks about his personal life which Chanyeol did not remember asking. He might be super shy on camera (according to Yura) but to Chanyeol, he wished the boy shut the up.

The stupid smaller boy even had to wear his clothes because he doesn’t have any. Chanyeol will make sure to burn all of it later. Or maybe sell it online, he can make big bucks off of it.

Seeing the shortie wear Chanyeol’s shirt making it look oversized is pretty cute in a way.

“You’re so tall. I want to be as tall as you” Kyungsoo smiles but Chanyeol pushes him out of the way. Being a nice person is hard. Especially when he follows Chanyeol around like a little kid.  

Chanyeol wanted to find a daycare fast.

“It’s nice to be in a regular apartment. Without anyone outside stalking you” the smaller boy speaks again while he cooks (he told Chanyeol he can cook for him since Chanyeol is letting him stay here). Chanyeol really wants to kick him out ASAP. How can someone so small talk so much?

“Hey midget. Let’s play the quiet game,” Chanyeol groans while flipping through the television channels.

It keeps Kyungsoo quiet for a couple minutes until SBS comes on and right when Chanyeol was about to change the channel, the smaller boy gets on top of him, “pleaseee don’t change it! It’s my group performing.”

Chanyeol uses his strength to push Kyungsoo off, “I know it is, and like I said before, I hate Exo.”

“They’re performing without me…” Kyungsoo says sadly while staring at the television. His tone does make Chanyeol not argue with him because he looks like a defeated puppy staring at the screen. “I read online and SM excuse to the public is that I’m feeling sick. So no one knows I disappeared. I don’t even know how to contact them…”

“Hey wait a minute” Chanyeol turns to Kyungsoo who has his head buried in his legs while he’s sitting in a fetal position. “Are you crying? Oh my god. I already have to babysit you, please don’t cry.” As much as a bully as Chanyeol seems, he cannot stand it when someone cries. “Hey come on shortie” Chanyeol wraps his arm around Kyungsoo and Kyungsoo leans his head on Chanyeol’s shoulder.

“I…I’m scared.”

“Don’t be scared. You got me.” If the little boy wasn’t crying, there is no way in hell would Chanyeol say words like those. “You know I even kept it a secret for you about telling my sister and mother. They would flip if they knew about this. But I know you would not want it to be out to the public that somehow you’re in Los Angeles.”

Kyungsoo wraps his arms around Chanyeol’s neck and hugs Chanyeol. “You’re the best!”

“Now get off. I still hate Exo.”

Kyungsoo giggles and grins showing his heart shaped smile, “you might hate Exo but you might like D.O!”

“Quit dreaming”

“What does that mean? Or that?” Kyungsoo points around the mall and Chanyeol wanted to rip his hair out. Everything is the same except it’s written in English. Why is Kyungsoo so curious about every little thing?

Chanyeol overdressed Kyungsoo so no one recognize him in public and he can’t help but grin at how ridiculously cute Kyungsoo looks, like a marshmallow. Chanyeol always pulls Kyungsoo’s hands away when a sale clerk tries to sell him something because heaven knows Chanyeol is broke.

“When is Exo coming here to perform?”

“Uhm in a month. I will get in trouble because I haven’t been to any of the rehearsals…I’m scared.”

“You’re a celebrity. They’re like spoiled brats. What are you scared of?”

“It’s confidential…I can’t really talk about it.”

For the first time, Kyungsoo didn’t seem all happy or annoying. Chanyeol rather see the happy Kyungsoo even though it drives him off the wall. “Come on shortie” Chanyeol holds Kyungsoo’s hand and Kyungsoo just follows him, “I’ll bring you to Korea Town. Koreans everywhere so you can speak in Korean. No language barrier.”

A smile escapes Kyungsoo’s lips as he follows Chanyeol. Chanyeol did not even notice that he never let go of the smaller boy hand.

“Don’t be so obvious though. A lot of people here and foreigners know kpop. If they find out you’re from Exo, I’m getting out of here. Not saving you.”

Kyungsoo pouts and then nods.

Chanyeol was 100% sure some people recognized Kyungsoo because a lot of them turn heads to make sure they weren’t seeing things but each time it got obvious, Chanyeol pulls Kyungsoo to his chest and make Kyungsoo stay still. “Don’t move, I think some fans recognize you,” Chanyeol whispers in his ears.

Kyungsoo stays still while Chanyeol gives the fans warning looks so they run away. Once they were gone, Chanyeol lets Kyungsoo go and Kyungsoo laughs. “You’re so tall you covered me!”

“Yeah yeah. Come on petite thing.”

It isn’t like Chanyeol to ever talk to elderly people when he shops at the Korean groceries market, but Kyungsoo, the boy was different. He talked to almost everyone and he was so friendly and giddily that all the ahjummas liked him. Chanyeol stands in the side to wait for Kyungsoo to finish buying groceries but he cannot help but feel like Kyungsoo isn’t as fake as he thought.

One reason Chanyeol doesn’t follow many stars is because he thinks they deliver a fake image to the public. Two is that Chanyeol think stars are convinced they are better than regular people. When Yura became so obsessed with Exo, Chanyeol kept trying to convince her to not be so crazy about them because they are all fake and cocky. Cameras follow them everywhere so no one knows what they are really like. To Chanyeol, they all seemed cocky. Chanyeol just didn’t like D.O because Yura kept going on about how adorable the kid is even though Chanyeol doesn’t see it.

Now, he could kind of see where she is coming from.

“Chanyeol-ah!” Kyungsoo waves for Chanyeol to come over. When Chanyeol does walk over, Kyungsoo tells the ahjumma how amazing Chanyeol is. Chanyeol only stands there awkwardly while Kyungsoo tells the ahjumma all about him. It makes Chanyeol want to hit his head on the wall but when he sees how the two gets along with each other, he feels happier. The ahjumma even compliments Chanyeol’s looks and how fortunate both of them are to depend on each other.

“Beautiful friendship the two of you have” she says and pats them on the shoulder.

“You’re strange” Chanyeol comments when they walk out of the market.

“Huh?”

“You look like a five year old, short like a garden gnome, but act so mature, yet also have a friendliness about you. Like I can see many older woman like you because you’re so sincere.”

“Are you complimenting me Chanyeol?” Kyungsoo grins from ear to ear and Chanyeol had to walk faster so he doesn’t have to deal with this boy. “haha I’m kidding. Well technically in Exo I’m like the umma of the group so I take care of the members a lot. We are like a big family.”

“Isn’t that what you want the public to think though? That all of you guys get along with each other?”

“Well we argue from time to time but we do get along with each other.”

Chanyeol was about to ask more but his cell phone rings. The caller ID already make him roll his eyes.

“What is it noona?”

“Umma and I are at your apartment. Where are you? We got off work early so umma wanted to have dinner together.”

Chanyeol looks at Kyungsoo beside him and curse under his breath.
