He walked down to Tablo’s office, a thick folder in his hands. He spent the past week compiling all of the information just so he could present his case to Tablo. He was tired of lounging around after the problem with the Black Iris. He was happy that his hyungs had managed to find women and protected them fiercely.

But with no imminent threats, there was no reason for them to live together as a unit. So he was left to his own devices, which meant searching for another case. He found something rather peculiar and he wanted permission to investigate.

He knocked on the door twice, before being allowed to enter and he saw Tablo waiting. He placed the folder on his desk and sat across from him, waiting for Tablo to read all the documents.

“Are you absolutely certain about this, Myungsoo?” Tablo asked him. His eyes glancing over all of the documents on his desk. The numerous folders shared information that had spread internationally, and Myungsoo managed to translate them all.

“Yes. He’s been active for over 10 years, he started as a juvenile and he’s been leaving his signature on all of the victims.” Myungsoo answered. “Those zodiac tattoos aren’t coincidence, the girls didn’t even have tattoos until they were found.” 

Tablo sighed, pinching the bridge of nose, he hated that there was another threat but he didn’t want to ruin the life that they had managed to create for themselves here. “Do you want to handle this yourself?” Tablo asked him.

“I don’t want to bother everyone else. So I am fine with handling it by myself.” Myungsoo replied confidently. He sat up straighter in his chair as he waited for Tablo to give him the direct orders.

“Good. Because I actually do have another case for you. And it might be related to this, now that you’ve pointed it out to me.” Tablo said, reaching into his desk drawer and taking out a thin envelope. He handed it to Myungsoo and he opened it carefully.

Inside was a picture of a girl and his jaw dropped, her features were too similar, too familiar. He looked at Tablo who just gave him a simple nod. “I know.” Tablo said, nodding his head to tell Myungsoo to look at the rest of the file.

He followed the instructions and pulled out a letter and an envelope of cash, it read,

Dear Tablo,

I am writing this to you in confidence that you will keep this a secret. But I have to ask for your help. I know you do not usually take personal requests but I have my sources that you are the best. I need your help to protect my daughter, I fear that she is in grave danger.

I have no idea from who or what, or even how but I know that she is. I have been getting pictures of her scratched up for a few months now and despite giving her bodyguards and advice, she refuses to listen to me.

Someone is out to get her, I just know it. Please help me, she is my baby girl and I lost her mother when she was young as well. She is all that I have. Her name is Ri Ah and she attends Seoul High, she is very bright you see.

I just need someone to help me watch over her. Nothing has happened in the few months I’ve been receiving the pictures, but the recent pictures have had spatters of blood on them. And they’re always candids of her in the streets. Don’t let anything happen to her, please I beg you.

“You will be sending me on this mission?” Myungsoo asked Tablo directly. “Alone?"

Tablo nodded, “I trust you will be able to handle it this time around, Myungsoo? I know the others have been neglecting rule number one, but I really cannot let anything happen to this girl.” He said, explicitly.

“Is there any particular reason for that?” Myungsoo asked curiously. 

Tablo sighed again, “I’m sure if you look into her back story you’ll find out but I’ll give you a hint now, she’s someone’s cousin.” 

Myungsoo’s eyes widened as he connected the dots immediately, “Seriously?”

“Yes, now you’re enrolled in Seoul High as of tomorrow, say your goodbyes to the others as you’ll be undercover. I won’t send them after you unless I feel that you need the help. Do your job well, L.” Tablo said, dismissing him from the room.

Myungsoo packed his gear and held the school uniform in his hands, it was time to go back to school.
