At 2 am in the morning in Park mansion where everyone was sleeping safe and sound except for one person

“Miss Eunjung, miss Eunjung” Eunjung was alarmingly woken by Mi Sook’s frightened voice and series of the knock on door, she abruptly got up and quickly opened the door

 “What’s going on aunty?” Eunjung asked alerted

“Miss Hyomin” Mi Sook said trying to catch her breath

“What happen to her” Eunjung asked quickly

“She just called me from a police station, saying she needed me there to sign a document” Mi Sook said hurriedly

“Which police station?” Eunjung asked alertly

“Kang-nam Police Station” Mi Sook said

“Ok, aunty, you don’t have to go, I’ll go there” Eunjung said, she walked into her room to grab her hooded jacket and wallet, sped up to her car. She was worried sick what happened to Hyomin.

After 15 minutes, Eunjung arrived at the police station, there she saw Hyomin and a guy, she rushed to her sister side

“Are you alright, Hyomin?” Eunjung asked, checking Hyomin. Hyomin rolled her eyes to see Eunjung instead of Mi Sook for she did insist Mi Sook not to let Eunjung knew.

“Tell me what happened” Eunjung asked Hyomin hurriedly

“I hit him with a bottle” Hyomin said with her poker face.

 “You what?” Eunjung exclaimed, looking at the guy, she just noticed his head was round with white bandage; she gave her sister a disapproved look

“But he slapped me and attempted a ual harassment on me first” Hyomin added nonchalantly, Eunjung widened her eyes, she was boiled with anger, she took the guy by his neck, but police rushed to separate her.

“Calm down miss” a police said

“Please sign a document here, then you can leave” a police said. Eunjung did as told, she asked the police if it would be involved any other charge but since her sister was equally at fault so they came to an agreement not to make it a big deal. After everything was completed, Hyomin walked off to her car.

“Are you sure, you alright? Eunjung chased after her sister

“Yeah” Hyomin said, not looking at her sister, Eunjung grabbed her wrist “ Hyomin”,  she turned around to look at Eunjung 

 “Please don’t make me go crazy worrying about you like this” Eunjung pleaded looking into Hyomin’s eyes , Hyomin stayed silent.

“Please stop going to such a place, I couldn’t imagine what if something bad happened to you” Eunjung’s voice trembled a bit, Hyomin could see the weakness in Eunjung’s eye

“Stop pushing me away then” Hyomin said, didn’t wait for the answer, she walked away and got into her car.

“I’m sorry if I made you feel that way” Eunjung said when Hyomin’s car already left its parking space.

It has been two weeks since Hyomin started to learn the job at the company, she was not really interested in the work, she was just there to check on Eunjung and made sure that Soyeon wasn’t getting too close to her sister. She would hook up with Gayoon and Ji-hyun at lunch, and sometimes had lunch with Eunjung. She spent more time in Eunjung’s office more than hers, when she got bored she would just flipped through magazines watching Eunjung’s work, since Eunjung didn’t say anything or she might be too tired to say , Hyomin took it as the permission to walk in an out Eujung’s office. Ji-hyun found it cute, she knew the Park sisters for years since they were young, her father was  Mr.Park’s driver when he was alive. Today Hyomin was invited to sit in and listen to a client meeting, but she didn’t really listen to what they were talking about, instead she was sketching something on her organizer.

 “Well, anyone of you have anything more to suggest?” Eunjung asked at the end of the meeting but nobody voiced  out anything

“If everyone agrees on this agenda then we shall conclude the meeting for today and you may be dismayed” Eunjung said and everybody was leaving the room

As all staff walked out and only Eunjung and Hyomin left in the meeting room , Soyeon decided to ask the two sisters to join her at lunch tomorrow to thank you Eunjung

“Eunjung ssi, I wonder if you are free tomorrow, I would like to invite you and Hyomin ssi for a lunch” Soyeon asked

“I think I have no schedule then I’d love to go” Eunjung said

“But I won’t be free, let you two spend your quality time together as you wish” Hyomin annoyingly said

“Hyomin!” Eunjung stopped her sister

“Just because I’m standing here, you don’t have to invite me along Soyeon ssi, I know you want to be alone with president Eunjung” Hyomin added, and it made Soyeon’s face faded.

“Sunyoung, apologize to Soyeon ssi now” Eunjung was a bit angry at her sister’s rudeness

“Am I right?” Hyomin said gritting her teeth

“No need Eunjung ssi” Soyeon said, Hyomin stared at Eunjung and walked out of the meeting room. Eunjung sighed at her sister’s behavior and felt sorry for Soyeon .

“Please take my apology for Hyomin, she may not in good mood” Eunjung said to Soyeon

“Don’t worry Eunjung ssi, I understand” Soyeon said, giving a reassured smile.

After sending Soyeon off, Eunjung swiftly walked to Hyomin’s office, she knew that Hyomin was being jealous but she didn’t want Hyomin to be rude and didn’t look good in other people’s eyes.

“Sunyoung, we need to talk” Eunjung stomped in her office

“But I don’t” Hyomin said coldly

“How could you talk to Soyeon ssi like that she is our client” Eunjung scolded

“I guess she wants to be more than that?” Hyomin smirked

“Stop being childish Sunyoung, think about PS Group, how can you be a good next president if you are being like this”

“I never say I want it” Hyomin retorted

“When will you understand Hyomin? Appa built all this for you, for your future, I only want the best thing for you” Eunjung said

“Did you ever ask me if I want those things?” Hyomin shouted back, though Eunjung expected Hyomin to rent out her anger but she was still taken back

“Did you ever ask me what make me happy? She continued

“Ham Eunjung, if you think what you are doing is the best thing you can give me then you are wrong cause I never want it” Hyomin finished, she took her handbag and left the office.

Eunjung’s POV

Since our argument yesterday, I haven’t seen Hyomin all evening or at dinner, I asked the maids, they said they saw her came back home after dinner time but didn’t see her went out at night again. Despite her stubbornness, Hyomin is very true to her words, once she makes promise, she will never break it, and she never goes out drinking at night after the day I asked her to stop.

I’m looking up for Hyomin but still didn’t see her come down from her room, I should have left for work, but I want to see her first, though we don’t speak much but it makes my day just to see her face.

“Are you looking for miss Hyomin?” A maid asked me

“Hm” I made a sound in my throat; I hate it when our maid acts as if she can read my mind.

“Miss Hyomin already left early morning today” A maid told me and it made me a little surprised.

 “Oh, I see” I said then I took my bag and left for work

I have been busy checking and read through all reports that required for my signature, I didn’t realize that it’s already lunch time until Ji-hyun knocks on the door to inform me that Soyeon is waiting.

“Oh Ji-hyun, please make a copy of this document and pass to Hyomin ssi” I told Ji-hyun

“Yes, president Eunjung nim, but Hyomin ssi didn’t come to work today, shall I just leave on her desk?” Ji-hyun said

“Didn’t she come to work?” I asked puzzled

“I didn’t see her all morning” Ji-hyun said

“Ok, just leave on her desk, thank you Ji-hyun” I said

I wonder where Hyomin is, she left home early, but didn’t show up at work, I want to call her but may be later since Soyeon is waiting outside so I leave the office to meet her, and as planned , today Soyeon wants to treat me a lunch for a successful  investment agreement.

At a restaurant, I sent Hyomin a message but she didn’t reply but I kept waiting. I’m puzzled where she could be.

“Eunjung ssi, are you alright” I heard Soyeon asked me 

 “I’m ok, thank you” I replied

“You were spacing out” Soyeon said

“Oh, sorry, I have been thinking about something” I apologized, feeling rude to ignore her

“How is your sister?” Soyeon asked

“She is fine, just being stubborn” I said, couldn’t help but smiled at the thought of her

“Hyomin ssi is totally different from you, not only the look but personality” Soyeon said

“Well, actually we are not biological sisters, but step-sisters” I told her

“That’s what I guess , no wonder why” Soyeon said

“Hm?” I was confused what she meant, I looked at her and she smiled at me

“Every time you talk about your sister, you eyes always shine so bright” Soyeon said , I tried to comprehend what she was getting at.

“Eunjung ssi, I’m saying this as a friend, when it comes to love, we can’t say it right or wrong, we need to follow our hearts” Soyeon said

“ Soyeon ssi” I was quite surprised, never expected her to come up with this topic.

 “I don’t mean to in your personal life, but I find your love is really beautiful and I want to support it” Soyeon said

“ Thank you Soyeon ssi” I didn’t know why, but I felt so light talking to her 

“You’re welcome my friend” Soyeon cheerfully said, and I’m so glad besides having a good business client, now I think I’ve found a good friend.

After lunch and light talk with Soyeon , I come back to my office, still Hyomin didn’t show up. This girl is really good at making me worry. I ring her for few times but she didn’t answer the phone. I sit down on my chair, my eyes travel to a calendar on my desk, and it makes my heart sting, today it’s our parents’ 8 years anniversary, I want to hit myself on the head, how can I forget this ? I pick up my jacket and hastily leave.

It’s raining outside when I get into my car, the rain doesn’t calm me down a bit, I try to call Hyomin again and again but she didn’t answer.

As I reach our parents’ grave stone, rain starts pouring down heavily, there I see Hyomin standing in front of their grave stone her body is soaked with rain, my heart aches at the sight, I rush to her and put umbrella to shield her from the rain.

“Sunyoung ah, I’m sorry” I said but Hyomin didn’t response, she’s shivering, I take off my jacket and cover for her.

“Miahne, Sunyoung, I’m a bad unnie” I said hugging her, she is so cold, I don’t know how long she is under the rain, she tries to push me away but I hug her tighter.

“You are bad person, I hate you” Hyomin said

 “You can hate me Sunyoung, but I’ll never stop loving you” I said, she looks up at me, I know she’s crying in the rain, she holds me tight now.

“Let’s go home” I told Hyomin , because she’s shivering hard

Eunjung sat on Hyomin’s bed holding her hand and checking her temperature, it seemed that her fever wouldn’t go down soon. Eunjung was really mad to find out that Hyomin was standing there under the rain for 2 hours, now she ended up having high fever. She blamed herself for forgetting about this day, every year they would go there together and Hyomin would always got carried away in front of their parents’ grave. It has been two hour since Hyomin took medicine but it didn’t help much.

“Appa, appa” Hyomin murmured in her sleep

“Hyomin, unnie is here” Eunjung soothed Hyomin caressing her hand

“I’m cold” Hyomin said, shivering, despite a warm blanket covered her.

Eunjung laid down on the bed, putting herself under the blanket with Hyomin , she kept Hyomin warm by hugging her in sleep , she could feel the heat from Hyomin’s body “Get well soon my princess”, she tightened the hug.

Hyomin’s POV

Aish , I really hate this feeling when my head is heavy and throbbing, I open my eyes and find myself in my room , then the door opens

“How are you feeling?” Eunjung unnie asked as she is approaching me with a bowl in her hand, she put it down on table.

“Headache” I shortly replied, and she places her palm on my forehead.

“You catch a cold now, I make you rice soup, eat first then you can take medicine” Eunjung said gently.

“Don’t you go to work today?” I asked as I notice her wearing her casual clothes

“I’ll go in the afternoon, I want to make sure that you’re getting better” Eunjung said

After having rice soup and medicine, I feel my eyelids are getting heavier, I try to resist it for I want to look at Eunjung unnie like this for a while, my Eunjung unnie who is so sweet and caring like old time, I’m afraid when I wake up again she will be gone.

After Hyomin fell asleep, Eunjung went to take shower and got dressed, she would go to office afternoon for an important meeting, she was contemplating whether to cancel it or not for she was so worried about Hyomin. She asked Mi Sook to look after Hyomin for her and she would be back soon. Eunjung kept checking on Hyomin every hour, it seemed the meeting would take longer than expect and she would be held there for a while.

“How is Hyomin, aunty?” Eunjung called Mi Sook after she was done with a meeting

“Miss Eunjung , miss Hyomin has been sleeping since you left, not even woke up for food or medicine, her fever doesn’t go down” Mi Sook informed worriedly

“ Ok, I’ll be back soon” Eunjung hung up . This was why she was worry so much, every time Hyomin had a cold or worse “flu”, it would be three times worse than other, she would sleep helplessly without food or medicine unless she was forced to eat, and the only one who could do that was her .

Eunjung came home to find Hyomin sleeping on her bed, she looked so weak and awful, it broke her heart, she couldn’t imagine who would take care of Hyomin if she wasn’t here, the girl that outside might look arrogant, confident and stubborn but she was really fragile.

“Sunyoung ah, how are you feeling?” Eunjung gently touched Hyomin’s hair, she weakly opened her eyes

“Please eat something and take medicine” Eunjung said to Hyomin , but Hyomin shook her head, and closed her eyes again. This was the time Eunjung felt so hopeless, she couldn’t do anything to help her get better.
