Time?
The Test Of Time“Ram, it's time to get up, orientation is starting in 20 minutes.” Bom shook me, rather harshly, while I just
pretended to sleep peacefully until she would leave me alone.
“A few more minutes.” I waved her away as Bom became more persistent to get me out of bed, to which I
did not give her the pleasure.
“What the hell Ram? Orientation is basically the start of the school semester, and you love school.”
“I also love sleep, and not having to carry around a drunk Bom, than dealing with her hangover, and finally,
getting no sleep as she decides to bother me even as I try to rest.” My glare was ice cold, and I was tired as
ever. I still got up and headed for the shower. After washing I got changed into a simple pair of black ripped
jeans, with a my white hoodie under my leather jacket. An outfit that would keep me warm in the cold
weather, while keeping while my style preference.
I was heading to the door until Bom stopped me
“Why are you wearing that? It's the first day, why not make an impression.”
“But this outfit is my style.” I gestured to my outfit, wiggling my eyebrows before doing a model pose in the
doorway.
“Have I ever told you that you're the weirdest person ever in the mornings?”
“And have I ever told you that I would look stunning dressed as Batman.”
“Okay, weirdo.”
“Hey, don't hate the player, hate the game.” I continued with my retorts almost all the way to the other side
of campus, which was almost a 10 minute walk.
By now Bom was in hysterics, her arms flying all over the place. “You just don't even make sense, like what
the literal hell are you talking about? I just-why me?”
My antics were definitely getting to her, but in all fairness, this was payback.
“Ram, please.” Bom begged.
I opened my mouth to prepared for my mega comeback but was stopped when my cellphone rang.
“Ram.” Zelo, but why was he calling?
“Yeah, what's up Zelo?”
“I can't come to orientation today, can you grab all my stuff.” What the hell was wrong with his voice?
“Sure, that's fine. Are you okay though? You sound terrible.” I couldn't hide the worry as I heard him break into coughing fits.
“I'm fine, just do this for me, okay?” What the hell is going on with this kid?
“I'll come over later today and drop off some soup too.”
“NO! I mean please come another day, I'm busy.”
“Zel-.” The line went dead.
“Is he okay? He sounded rather panicked from what i could hear.” Bom could tell that conversation very
worried and angry as she knew how much Zelo meant to me.
I just hope he's alright...
..........
Bom and I made it to orientation with only a minute to spare, and I could not have been more relieved.
But I was still upset over the whole Zelo situation and the fact that I got no sleep this weekend made me a
time bomb, it was only a matter of time before I got all ninja up in this place.
“Ram, I think your expression is scaring away the other children.” Bom whispered as she tried to hold back
her laughter, and it was only then that I noticed Bom and I were standing on our own, while everyone was
standing away from us.
That's why is was so quiet...
“Bom, would you please come here and introduce yourself to the students.” Mr. Choi, the guidance
counsellor motioned to Bom.
'Play nice with the other children' was all she said before she walked up to the front.
“Hello everyone, my name is Park Bom, I am a third year student here at Seoul University and I am also part
of the Student Council, the Media Arts Club and the Agriculture Club. Does anyone have any questions for
me?” Bom asked as hands shot up.
“What types of clubs are there?”
“Well any interest you have, there is probably a club for it. Journalism, Sports, Fashion, Interior Designing,
Movie Editing, Environmental, Culture, the list goes on.”
“How do you get on student council?”
“You can volunteer or a teacher can recommend you, but you must have the qualifications such as a high
average, although the president is elected by the students.”
The questions continued until I was sure that almost every kid in the crowd had asked a question. Mr. Choi
actually had to cut off questions because it looked like Bom was getting worn out, which meant now it was
time for the campus tour, where we would receive an information packet about the school and then
orientation would be over.
.....
The school as I already knew was huge, and although the tour was relatively boring, we did get the pleasure
of seeing a very red and flustered Mr. Choi as he saw two kids making out in the library and than got
smacked on the back of the head by the librarian when he decided to yell at the kids.
It became even more hilarious when the librarian kicked both Mr. Choi and the two students out of the
library, before she herself, gave us a tour of the library, than handing us our packages and dismissing us,
claiming she had to attend to other business.
The tour and additional information session for those on scholarships was longer than expected and by the
time Bom and I were back at the dorms it was almost 8pm. Bom had plans to go out with some of her older
friends and invited me to tag along, but I declined, knowing a normal night out with the girls would do Bom
some good.
So I sat myself on the bed with a bowl of instant noodles in one hand and a pair of chopsticks in the other,
intently watching Bom choose her outfit for the evening. Her final choice was a really cute short black dress
with ruffles on the front.
“That looks killer on you Bom, where are you guys going?”
“We are going to that sushi restaurant across from the campus, than we're heading to this new club called
Muze, supposed to be pretty epic.” Bom spoke as she finished grabbed her last bracelet sitting on the side
table beside her bed.
“Yeah, I heard it's run by 4minute and 2ne1. They're some of the baddest(bad meaning good, you know)
female gangsters in Seoul.” I casually mentioned.
“Do you know all the gangs in Seoul, cause that's pretty crazy.”
“Actually, I have lots of connections to different gangs from my teen years, more than even Daehyun is
aware of.” My teen days were definitely spent participating in activities that were less than legal.
“Wow. That's crazy. Anyways, I'll see you later, be good.” Bom was about to walk out the door before I
stopped her.
“Tell the bodyguards your friends with Time, they will let you in without the line. Oh, and if you see the
owners, tell them Time wants to meet up with them soon.”
“Time?”
“Ya, that was my 'name' in the underground, I still use it for business outside of BAP, I was also a big fan of
puns at the time.”
“I can feel so many puns, see you later, TIME! Wow, that's weird.” Bom waved goodbye before she was off
and I was back to eating my noodles.
Wow, I haven't used that name in forever, I hope they still remember it. After all, I almost was an official
member of one of those gangs.
Next chapters will introduce exo and infinite. I'm excited!!!! Thanks for reading my story!!
