Description
Han Sera and Kim Jongin is a perfect couple, at least that’s how half employees at Seoul Corporation thought. Three years being in a relationship with him, Sera thought that Jongin is the one. They’re perfect, fit, and made for each other. So when Jongin told her that there’s another woman, Sera couldn’t stop thinking how everything that was so perfect, went awful just in seconds.
And in her suddenly messy life, Sera found herself asking the question she no knew the answer of: is she the victim or is she the cause of him having an affair?
Foreword
Midnight. Hours after the fight, hours after the endless cries, hours after yelling to each other. I’m physically and mentally exhausted. I basically just want to crash on my bed, sleeping like there’s no tomorrow. Like I don’t have to be awakening again. Like it’s all a nightmare I could skip once the next day comes.
But it is not.
I’m sitting on the couch with my boyfriend holding on my hand, asleep. I couldn’t look at him without starting to cry again and again. The pain is still there; smell so fresh that I have to close my eyes to just let the hurting feeling go. It’s unbelievable, so unbelievable.
Jongin, my boyfriend for three years, is having a secretive relationship with a woman I never knew about. And he just admitted that he’s in romantic relationship with her. It’s my Jongin, my dearest boyfriend Kim Jongin, the one that I love more than any of my ex-boyfriend, the one that made me believe that it would be worth it, the one who cured my broken heart; yet the one who hurt me. Again.
I look at how our fingers intertwine to each other, softly attached, sealing the hold. His palm feels so warm, slightly sticky though, but it still feels good to know that I still could hold on to it. He’s still here, staying in the couch at my apartment. I sigh as I recalled what he said earlier.
“Let’s have a break” he said after he confessed about her, the other woman in our relationship.
Tsk. I don’t even want to talk about it. I was so angry earlier that I started to lose my mind, I lose all the logic I usually have in me. The once composed me turned into such a mess, and I almost not recognize the old me; the one before he revealed the secret.
But I don’t want a break. I don’t know what’s wrong until I have to say yes to his request. We’re so fine, we’re so perfect together. So why he’s asking for a break?
I close my eyes once again before I take a deep breath and look at our hands. In seconds, I can take one of the two options: leave his hand or keep still.
I feel so contemplated right now.
