*Xai's POV*

I rushed to the park where I was supposed to meet Hana because I really wanted to hear the rest of her story. It had gotten late last night, so she promised that she will finish telling me the rest of her past today. I wanted to know more about her past and find out why my sweet, cheerful Hana had turned into a taciturn girl. Her behavior had become more mature, and she didn't smile very much.

"Hana!" I found her sitting among the flower beds, "So please continue!"

She gave a small nod, "My crush on Taemin converted into a strong liking on that day…"

*Flashback (Hana's POV)*

I calmly took a stroll through a park in the afternoon as the weather was beautiful with the sun shining brightly and a light breeze kept the atmosphere cool. There was no one around in my sight or at least that is what I thought.

"Hey there, cutie!" Two tall boys in their early twenties stepped in front of me blocking my pathway. I ignored them and went to turn around to walk away, but one of them grabbed my arm.

"Leave me!" I tugged my arm away from his grip, "What do you want?"

"Feisty, I like it. Do you have a boyfriend?" The guy on the right stepped closer to me causing my heartbeats to increase.

"That is none of your business!" I started to slowly step backwards in hopes of dashing out of there.

"Where do you think you are going?" The man on the left roughly grabbed my wrist.

"Let me go!" I tried to wiggle myself from his strong grip.

"She is a wild one," the man holding my wrist pinned me against a nearby tree, "Now you are going to get it!" He brought his face closer to mine, but in a blink of an eye, the man fell on the ground.

"What the hell?!"

"Taemin…" I looked to see an enraged Taemin standing with his fists tightly clutched. Running up to him, I encircled my arms firmly around him.

"You…" the two men got into a fighting stance, "are going to pay for that."

Taemin gently pulled me behind him leaving me shocked at his strength. His body was toned, but he was not muscular like Jonghyun, who had a well-built physique with muscular arms and abs. His punches caused the men to fly backwards, but those two were not the type to give up easily. They worked as a team and ganged up on Taemin, and they started to kick him as hard as they could manage.

"Taemin!" I rushed up to one of the men and tried to push him away from Taemin, "Leave him alone! Two against one is not fair!" The thug roughly shoved me causing me to fall onto the ground.

"Hana!" Taemin gathered up all of his strength and delivered two deadly blows to each one of the men.

"Damn, he is strong. Let's get out of here." They ran away as swiftly as they could.

"Taemin, are you alright?" I stood up and ran over to him.

"Yeah I am fine. What about you?"

"I'm-" My eyes moved to his left hand as blood slowly trickled down the hand and fell onto the concrete sidewalk, "Your arm is hurt!" Taking a hold of his hand I quickly took off my scarf, which was tying my hair into a pony tail, and wrapped it around his wound.

"Hana, I am fine."

"But you hand and they-"

He placed his right hand on my left cheek, "It's alright…"

"Taemin…" Tears began rolling down my cheeks, "Thank you…" I buried my face in his chest, embracing him. He leaned down and returned my hug in order to calm me down.

*End Flashback*

*Hana's POV*

"I had never seen Taemin fight but he saved me on that day, causing me to fall for him even more."

"Was he really fine or was he just acting that way to calm you down?" Xai asked moving to the edge of her seat.

"His left arm had a cut and he had some bruises from being kicked, but otherwise he was alright."

"What did his friends say when they saw him?"

"Taemin made up an excuse from his cut saying that he accidently ‘scratched' himself. Only Baekhyun was the one who had seen his bruises‒since they were roommates."

"So Baekhyun knew the story?" Xai asked shocked.

"Yeah…he knew everything about my liking for his dongsaeng and everything that went on between Taemin and me." I replied, staring at the colorful flowers in front of me.

"Wait, if Baekhyun knew about Taemin not liking you, then why didn't he tell you?"

"He wasn't sure if his dongsaeng liked me or not…"

"So how did you find out that Taemin didn't like you?"

"Since the fight at the park, I had gotten closer to Taemin…too close."

*Flashback*

I stood outside in the balcony in my house observing the silent night completely lost in my thoughts.

"Hana…"

I jumped startled by a familiar voice, "Taemin, what are you doing here?"

"I'm sorry. I didn't mean to startle you. I came by to check on you."

"Check on me?"

"For the past few days, you have been very quiet and sad…is something wrong?"

"No, it's nothing! I'm fine." I said trying to put on my best smile.

He did not buy my answer as he knew well that I was lying. Taemin joined me, and we peacefully enjoyed standing under the dark sky.

"Taemin‒do you‒nevermind..."

"Do I what?"

"Don't worry about it…"

"Hana, you have been acting strangely. What's the matter?"

"Taemin, you got hurt because of me."

"Hana, it was not your fault…"

My eyes meet Taemin's captivating orbs, "I really like you a lot." Standing up on my toes to reach his face, I kissed him gently on the cheek.

*End flashback*

"Ever since that night, Taemin began to avoid me."

Xai frowned, "Because you confessed to him and kissed him?"

"Yeah…"

"Then what happened?"

"My frustration began getting the best of me. Taemin drifted away from me, he wouldn't let me get close to him anymore and wouldn't talk to me. One evening I found him alone in the balcony and decided to confront him." I sighed deeply.
