Minseok was ready to sprint off of the stage and into the safety of his car, where no outsiders could come in, as soon as their performance was over, but obviously that wasn’t possible. They had to stay behind for the encore and closing ment, which ultimately lead to more time seeing Luhan. Minseok sighed in resignation. Although Minseok kept on telling himself that he no longer cared about Luhan, he couldn’t help but steal glances at the man and every time Minseok looked over at him, he couldn’t help but feel like Luhan was avoiding him just like how Minseok was avoiding Luhan, Minseok’s heart felt heavy. He really shouldn’t have came to Beijing. Minseok squeezed his eyes, he couldn’t wait until he got back to Seoul, then..Then he would be able to feel in ease.

--

“What?! No!” Minseok screeched and everyone pushed their hands against their ears. The high notes that everyone proudly bragged about Minseok having during reality and radio shows came back to bite their asses at that moment.
“Hyung! I think one of my eardrums just popped.”

The festival ended without any casualties and Minseok had managed to maneuver his way into not meeting Luhan, with the help of Jongdae of course. Minseok should really treat him sometime, it had been a while since the two of them met up alone outside of their schedules, thinking this Minseok suddenly turned sad. Jongdae had always been listening to his problems, but now that Minseok thought about it, he had never listened to Jongdae’s.. But at that moment the hard work both Jongdae and Minseok went through at the festival was all for nothing.

“I am not! I repeat. NOT! Going to film a CF here in Beijing.” His manager looked at him and sighed.
“You don’t have a choice Minseok. You’re endorsing that brand and the brand is shooting in Beijing. And no, you can’t have anybody fill in, it’s not EXO’s endorsement it’s your endorsement. You can’t back out of it.”
“But..”
“I know you don’t want to stay in Beijing, but-” His managers face softened and he laid a hand on Minseok’s shoulder. “Its only 2 days. I doubt anything can happen in 2 days.”
His manager was never so wrong in his life.

--

The rest of the members flew back to Seoul without Minseok. A worried Jongdae cast a look at him before leaving, but Minseok reassured him with a smile and with that he was left alone in the hotel room alone.

Minseok closed the curtains to his shower and took a deep breath, while turning the water onto its hottest. The scalding water burned Minseok’s body turning it into a pale pink colour, but Minseok didn’t mind, it was just what he needed at that moment. He could do this.. Minseok wasn’t worried about the CF shooting, he had been on plenty of oversea trips to shoot for CF’s alone. While other members branched out to acting (Kyungsoo and Sehun, Chanyeol had tried but it failed miserably), MC’ing or hosting radio shows (Yixing, Baekhyun and Joonmyeon) and reality shows (Chanyeol, Jongdae and Zitao). Jongin and Minseok took over the endorsement side of the entertainment industry, Jongin mostly modeled and Minseok was the one that actually filmed commercials that would make it out into the internet and television. Due to their similar fields, the two got a lot closer than when they first debuted together, which lead to a now quite popular ship name.. Xiukai. Minseok smiled, it was cute. Thinking back on their debut to where Minseok was standing now, he felt like he was in a much better mood than before. He only thought of the times that made him giddy and warm inside, and that made him feel much, much more better at the end of his shower.

He was in the midst of drying his hair with his towel and reaching for his phone, when someone knocked on his hotel door. Minseok bounced over to the door thinking it was his manager about to tell him that he would be out for the night as he always had. He turned his phone on as he opened the door and was..shocked to see him standing in front of Minseok. His phone beeped indicating a text had came in, Minseok still in shock looked down at his phone and saw that it was a text from his manager saying he wouldn’t be in for the night. Minseok looked up and he could practically feel the change happening in his life and he was terrified.

“Luhan..”

--

Luhan was drunk and he fell forward into Minseok’s arms. Before Minseok could feel any other emotion his protecting, oldest hyung side took over and embraced a drunk Luhan. Although his head was full of other thoughts like anger, anger, more anger and a sense of fear, Minseok’s hyung side took over and dragged Luhan into his hotel room and onto the couch. Luhan was past the point of unconsciousness and Minseok knew that there was no point in waking the younger actor up, so instead he went into the washroom and came back out with a damp cloth. He wiped Luhans face without a word and when he was done, Minseok slowly lifted the cloth off of Luhan’s face and stared at the man he hadn’t seen in about 10 years time. Luhan looked so much healthier than his time with EXO, so much better..so much handsomer.. Suddenly Luhan shifted and his hand caught onto the back of Minseoks neck, dragging him close to Luhan, their noses were almost touching and Minseok could smell the disgusting stench of alcohol from Luhan. Minseok was wide eyed as he stared into Luhans closed one’s, it had been an extremely long time since they were this close and despite Minseok, his heart started to beat out of control and it wasn’t long before Minseok jerked back. But that was before Luhan managed to shift again and pulled Minseok in closer, having their mouths come in contact for a brief moment. Despite that nano second of contact Minseok stumbled back, his face flaming red and his heart crashing against his chest. Minseok quickly got up and practically sprint into his room, leaving a oblivious and unconscious Luhan on the couch. Needless to say, Minseok could not sleep at all that night.

Minseok stepped out of his room to run into a frantic man pacing around his hotel room. When they met eye contact the latter squeaked and quickly picked up a pillow and hugging it as if it could possibly become defense for the fury Minseok was feeling at the moment. Minseok was cranky from the lack of sleep and the fact that he met Luhan after 10 years like this didn’t help, also he had a shooting to get to in a few hours. Minseok glared at Luhan for a full 20 seconds before he turned his back on him and went into the kitchen. Coffee, he needed coffee. A few seconds later he could hear soft footsteps pad into the kitchen and stop a few steps away from him. Minseok closed his eyes and took a deep breath, after a few seconds he reached up into the cupboards and took a extra mug out. He turned around to face Luhan and he lifted the mug up.

“Coffee?”

--

Luhan had changed out of his old clothes and managed to find some of Minseok’s oversized sweaters, his manager knew he had a shooting in Beijing for a while so he packed some clothes, and changed into those. There was still a awkward atmosphere between the two as they sat on opposite ends of the couch, each with a mug of coffee nestled in their hands. Minseok broke the silence.

“This wasn’t how I imagined I would meet you after all this time.” He let out a laugh and winced at the obvious force of it. Minseok could feel Luhan wince beside him.
“Me too..” Luhan’s voice cracked as he spoke korean as it had been a while since he spoke that language. “Minseok, I’m so sorry. I just needed to go somewhere and Yixing gave me your hotel address and without me even knowing I-”
“Yixing gave you my address?” Luhan gulped and nodded. Minseok sighed. “What el
