“Does danger always follow you?” L.Joe asked as he pants and leans on the wall.

“Do you always follow me around?” Yeonrin said as she looks at the guy beside her.

Yeonrin has been kicked out of the house again since her step-sister is going to throw a party with all her classmate and Yeonrin knows that the whole house will be really really dirty again that she needs to clean all day. Thank goodness it’s Saturday tomorrow so she doesn’t need to worry being late in going to school.

She’s wandering late at night again, making her way to Han River since it’s one of the places that are still alive even if it is already late at night when again, she is cornered by guys again. She really wonders why guys always pick on her but she just fights without hesitation but then again when one of the guy bring out his knife, she immediately stop again.

Yeonrin were scared of knife, as much as she hates to admit it. A knife represents the cruelty of her father when her mother left to work in abroad. Her father used to scare her with a knife when she is a child especially when he is drunk. He would bring out a knife and scare her. He even manages to wound her with a knife that leaves an ugly scar on her arm. That explains why she will be frozen whenever there is a knife but she’s working on that just haven’t any progress yet.

Like the first time, L.Joe is there again to save her and now they are leaning on the wall, they’re breathing is the only sound they can hear, tired from the fight. Yeonrin looks at L.Joe, curious, to why he is helping her.

Yeonrin hates this guy to death and she doesn’t know why he is being nice to her. A gangster. Nice? Unbelievable. But L.Joe is here, not even hating her when she pushes him away with her cold words, helping her twice and so concern about her.
