Summary: Dogboy Chanyeol just wants to be friends with the new catboy. 

-The two live together with the exo members in what I think is a foster home for hybrids. 

-Chanyeol and Jongin are very cute and innocent in this. It is hinted at -but never explored- that Jongin grew up in a tough situation. He shows some signs of past abuse. 

-I love drainbamage, but I felt like this was one of their weaker fics. They have the ability to write long AND entertaining fics, but this one fell short. I love chankai fluff, but if the plot -of a 20,000 word thing- is all fluff, then I'm going to get bored and stop caring at one point. There was so much unexplored potential in this fic (e.g. the District, the foster home, what the happened to Luhan, what the happened to Jongin in the past, why does Jongin not like being called Kai, why was he called Kai at one point, an explanation for why there are hybrids in this society and why they are treated -from what I understand- poorly, how Kyungsoo found Jongin, etc.) I also felt like the author could have pulled a plot twist -one of the two being "adopted" and leaving the foster home, but they did not. 

So, yes, I was disappointed by a few things, but that does not mean someone reading this will not find joy in the fic. If 20,000 words of Chanyeol and Jongin VERY innocently becoming friends and falling in love is a thing for you, then read it. If that's not up your alley, then I wouldn't bother.
