"Good Morning" I said to everyone while walking in.

"Doctor kim. Good Morning," Sunggyu smiled. "Did you get home okay yesterday?"

 "Yes. Thankyou.!" 

"Evelyn did you know Sungyeol ended up with an injury?"

"He's hurt? How Badly?"

"I don't know . He says he is fine, but... it was his right hand, and there was a lot of blood..."

But he's right handed.

"The Governer is schedualed to come in tomorrow for surgery" I said.

"That's right and he's arriving at the hospital this evening," he adressed with a worried look.

"We have made a call to Junsu; He's been away visiting family. We asked him to come as fast as he can.

Junsu?... I've heard of himhe always acted as Sungyeols first assistant during an opperation.

"Why not you?"

"Unfortunately, I have a conefrence to attend in the U.S. My flight leaves tomorrow morning."

"I see..."

"Regardless. You'll be there..We'll continue with the preperations with that in mind.."

"Okay. By the way, is Sungyeol out today?"

"The man is ridiculouse. You know, i told him to stay home. He said there was plenty to do outside of actually operating. He wouldn't listen to what i had to say."

That sound like him..

"If you see him please encourage him to take a little time off."

"Of course."

There is no reason for him to work himself like this when he has an injury.

As i make my rounds, I quietly keep an eye out for Sungyeol.

Where could he be? Masybe he got tired and fell asleep...

He's not here either...

I suddenly remember him standing alone in the stairewell out the back door.

I wonder..

Creak..

I open the rusted door.

I look up at the stairs, Sungyeol is here.

Sungyeol!!

Sungyeol turns his face slowly toward me.

"Here again, Huh?"

I climb up the staires to stand by Sungyeol.

"You come here often?"

"..How's your hand?"

"Fine."

"Everybody's worried about you. You should have taken time off, even just today..."

"There's no time for that, The governer is coming in tonight."

"The governer. He's coming here because he wants you to be his surgeon, right?" But if you can't operate..."

"I'll be present at the surgery , of course. There shouldn't be a problem."

I was shocked and not replying back to him.

"Not confident enough?" he asked with a curious face.

"If it's not that... i hear that Junsu will take your place. Sungyu told me."

"Isn't Junsu with his family?"

"Apperantly they called him back."

"..Oh. You should perform the operation." He looked at me with a serious look

"Me??"

"...I 'll take to the director," Sungyeol informed.

"Umm...But.."

"It's not easy that we can just call Junsu out of knowhereand expect him him to do it."

"Perhaps,but."

"If you understand what im saying, there's only one thing to say."

'Hey..WAIT!!" 

Sungyeol walks away without so much as turning his head

Sungyeol sits down on the steps and lets out a deep breath.

I get it , though. ther is something relaxing about his place.

Sungyeol's secret hideaway, I'm the one and only who knows about it. Sungyeol's secret place.

"Doctor Kim, perfect timing" said the head nurse.

"You should be proud of yourself.. that Doctor Sungyeol designated you as the operating surgeon,"

smiled the head nurse. Good luck tomorrow!"

"He's given his approval."

"Sungyeol..."

""i'll explain the circumstances. Come with me when he ariives," He suggested

impossible...

You'll be busy once he's here. Now your last chance to review the operation."

Sungyeol and I reviewed it many times over.

"All set, right?" he asked.

I didn't reply back 

"What's wrong?"

"Nothing...."

There's no going back now, but .. is it really all right for me to be doing this...

"..You all right?"

"Yes.."

Actually no..Yet , If i can pull this off,. I will gain the trust of both Sungyeol and the director. And opportunities for taking my revenge will open up to me. I have to do this, if i am to avenge my mother's death.

I forced a smile. Sungyeol stares at me.

"Kim..?"
