Description

Chan Yeol receives a box from a stranger shortly after the death of his first love.

A box containing all her letters to him over the year.

A box that held the key to his guilt.

A box that contained the evidence of his sins.

Prologue;

" What's this?" Chan Yeol asked bemusedly, staring at the female in front of him, crushing the coffee cup void of coffee in his hands and throwing it to the side as he rose to his feet. He had recognized her as Hee Ryung, the elder sister of Hee Joo, his first love. He shifted his weight awkwardly, sitting on his left hip then his right, avoiding her brown orbs. He couldn't bring himself to meet her eyes. Guilty, he felt nothing but guilt running inside of him. He was a ing coward, he knew, he couldn't face her after all he had done; his conscious wouldn't allow him He had done the most cowardly thing he had always been taught when the news of Hee Joo's death reached his ears- running away from his fears. Even in death, he couldn't face Hee Joo after all he had done.

" Take it." Hee Ryung replied tersely, shoving the envelope into his hand. " These are all addressed to you."

Speechless, Chan Yeol just stared at her, unable to utter a single sound. " F-for me...?" He asked softly, reaching out.

Hee Ryung hummed in response, running a hand through her hair, she blew out air from her parted lips as she willed herself to speak," I hate you Park Chan Yeol, I'm not going to hide or deny it. You caused my baby sister her life. You're a murderer." Her voice was dripping with vehement hatred as she swallowed the sob rising up . " But, Hee Joo never hated you for all that you did, my baby sister was like an angel, she tried to understand you. And, as her sister, what entitlement do I have to hate you with all my life? " Her voice lowered softly as she heaved a sigh. "I'm not going to bare a grudge against you Chan Yeol, instead, I'm going to forgive you because it's Hee Joo's greatest wish for me to forgive and forget the people who sin against me." She glanced at the envelope in his hand and smiled brokenly. " I'll forgive you but I'll make you pay the price of your crime with a lifetime of guilt. I'll let you be filled with remorse, contrite and compunction for the rest of your life as you're haunted with the aftermath of your crime. And even so, what you feel can never exonerate what my sister went through."

Chan Yeol fixed his eyes on the ground, staring at his worn-out sneakers, as Hee Ryung's words hit him repeatedly like an arrow on bull's eye.

She continued, " You think it's funny or for god's sake, romantic to bully her to catch her attention. You think life's a drama don't you? No it's not, you won't get someone to fall for you just cause you bully them. You'll make them hate you, you'll ruin them, you'll make their life a living hell. You'll never love someone you hate. This is reality." She paused for a moment, biting on her lower lip as a tear flowed from her eye. " Because of the darn misconceptions of people like you, you've cost countless of lives as your victims jump to their death as they are unable to take the mockery any longer; you bullies are no different from murderers!"

His mouth turned dry, his throat burning from the bile rising up his throat - Hee Ryung was irrefutable, irrevocable and undeniably right. He felt disgusted at himself, for his actions. Anger took up the hollowness of his soul and burned every molecule of his body. " I'm sorry...I'm sorry..." He chanted repeatedly like a mantra as his chest tightened, squeezing the air out of him.

Hee Ryung looked at him contemptuously, a scoff of derision escaping . " Do you think, a mere apology can bring Hee Joo back to life? If it could, why the would we have the police, the judiciary, the law? Nothing can exonerate your actions Park Chan Yeol."

His legs gave away, he collapsed to the ground, unable to holdback his tears. His suppressed emotions were released like a physical tide, washing over him; drowning him in its aftermath. " I'm sorry, I'm so ing sorry." He chanted voicelessly, his voice thick and muffled with tears.

" I don't ever want to see you again." She seethed through gritted teeth, a muscle in her jaw working furiously. " Don't you ever show up in front of Hee Joo again, don't ever visit her grave again. " She swept his flowers away from her sister's tomb brusquely. "She doesn't  need the sympathy from a hypocrite like you."

With that, she her heels and left the cemetery; her leaving silhouette framed by the golden sun rays of dawn and the morning mist of a new start.

Author's note:

This is a drabble really, don't expect a full one-shot. I'm tired of all the stupid romance stories ft bullies; you don't fall for your bully! How many times must that be drilled inside your head? You don't bully someone to get their attention - that's sick! WTF are people fantasizing over getting bullied by the school's jock and getting into a relationship with them because they had a crush on them? This is reality, things don't happen like that. I'm speaking from experience, the reason I became a cold-hearted is because I learnt to deal with my bullies and stand up for myself because there's no white horse and prince charming coming to save you. No one was there when they pushed me down the stairs, no one was there for me when they grabbed me by my schoolbag and dragged me to a corner to torment me, no one was there to help when they started calling me mean and insulting things in public, I had to deal with them by myself. It's not ing cool to be bullied, it's terrible and till now, years after, I still have nightmares about it.

Chapter 1: This is the best bully story that I have ever read. Many bully stories end up with happy ending with the characters just fall in love with each other, In fact there is no such thing like that. People just not magically to fall in love to the bullies and the bullies just won't be good all of sudden because the love. It's a really realistic story of yours should be read by many people so that people can realize that bully IS NOT FUN.

I cry a bucket while reading this, Thank you for writing this story.

Chapter 1: Disgusted. That's how I felt. Even at his petty actions to redeem his reputation. .
I've never been bullied since bullying wasn't a common thing in my school and the state that I live in. But, I feel for the victims and I condemn the perpetrators. I'm sorry you had to go through a tough phase because of scum bags like Chanyeol and Sehun in real life. If ever I come across any incident like this, I will make sure to put it to stop even if it causes me my career, my reputation or my life.
Thank you for bringing light to such a grim matter and letting people know that the world is not a fairytale. Evil people exists, they don't necessarily wave their daggers at you, they instead plunge you straight to the heart, ruthlessly, scarring you for eternity.
God Bless.
