“What is it?” I ask L.

“Would you like to be my girlfriend?” L asks me.

I am speechless. What??

Did I hear that correctly?

I am not sure...

“L, w-what did you just said?”

“Be my girlfriend, Suzy.” He repeats in simple words.

“I don’t know what to say. If I say yes, it means we’ll keep hanging out together. If I say no, what happens?”

“If you say no, I won’t force you. I’ll just wait for you to like me back.”

“Like as a friend or what?” I ask repeatedly.

“But why?”

I am so clueless about love. I don’t know anything related to it. To me, friendship is all that matters.

I mean, I don’t have any experience in a serious relationship.

No one has ever asked me to be their girlfriend.

I am just not used to these kind of things.

“Do I need a reason to like someone?” L asks nonchalantly.

“I don’t know... I thought there might be reasons..” I explain.

“Do you really want me to prove that I like you?
