The next morning when I was walking around the town, I heard a loud noise from the central town. With the lead of my curiosity, I decided to see what happened

 

As soon as I arrived there, I can see a bunch of angels are surrounding something while kept shouting, “go away, devil!” while throwing rocks to a…wait…a devil!?

 

“Kyaa…!” someone shouted, I cannot see her face but somehow, this voice sounds familiar, I walked closer to that bunch of angels slowly

 

“We don’t need you here, GO AWAY” the shouting became louder and louder and there is more and more people who threw rocks to the devil.

 

The voice sounds like Kurumi’s…wait, no, it can't be.

 

I am not sure since I cannot see the face clearly due to the people who surrounded her, but somehow, I feel like I need to stop this.

 

“STOP!!!” I shouted and they stopped throwing the rocks

 

“Prince Rihito?” the people stared at me confusedly as I peeked at the devil. I am right… She is none other than Kurumi

 

As soon as they stopped throwing her rocks, she fell down and lost her consciousness but kept hugging a bag

 

“That idiot…” I murmured to myself with irritated look on my face

 

I ran toward her and carried her in princess style and turned toward those angels, "what actually happened here?" I asked

 

"Prince Rihito, this devil entered our area this morning" one of them replied to my question

 

"...Why did you all attack her?" I asked without purposely glaring at them

 

"Because she is a devil, Queen of Devil to be more specific, Prince Rihito" another one replied me

 

"Did she attack any of you?" I asked while looking at Kurumi's full-of-wound fragile body in my arms

 

"She hasn't...but-" the angel from before replied but I stopped him right before he could finish his sentence by clicking my tongue

 

"NO BUTS!" I shouted angrily, "she didn't attack you all, right? Then, if so, why did you all do this!? Attacking someone who is not even attacking back like this...means you are all the same as devils" I added and walked passed them with the same angry expression on my face, I don't know why but I feel really angry about these guys attacked Kurumi even though she didn't do anything to them

 

“You guys are as mean as them!” I added and brought her to the castle. I could see the angels stared at me with confused eyes as some of them began to whisper to one another. Sigh, I made another scandal for myself.

 

I brought Kurumi to the castle's clinic, while I was on the way, I bumped into Rin, she immediately smiled at me

 

"Hey, Rin" I greeted her first and returned her smile

 

“Where did you go? I was looking for you, you know!" Rin said as she ran toward me, "eh, who is she?” she asked curiously the moment she realised I was carrying Kurumi, she then glanced at Kurumi, her expression darken, “she is back, huh?” she murmured

 

“From the town, oh she is Kurumi” I turned toward her with curious expression, "sorry, did you say something Rin?" I asked

 

“N-Nothing! Anyway, Rihito, quick! She is in a really bad condition!” she panicky said and shook my shoulder

 

“What happened to her?” Rin asked with a worry expression

 

“She was attacked, and didn’t even attack back.” I said as I kept walking to the clinic with Rin

 

“Why did they attack her? A-and…how can you know that she got attacked?” Rin asked again

 

“I saw her, and yeah all the angels attacked her, it is impossible that they would bring her here, right?” I replied her without looked at her way

 

“Well...it's not really weird that she was attacked here though” Rin covered with her hand

 

“I know, but, those angels are really mean, they attacked her just because she is a devil” I replied as I stared at Kurumi’s pretty face even though wounds can be noticed immediately

 

“So…umm…Rihito…you saved a devil, right?” she said again and stopped walking

 

I stopped as well. Rin’s words were like stabbing me. I saved a devil…I should have let her being attacked…my mom was killed by devils in the war when I was still a young boy.

 

But…I just cannot help myself. It feels like there is a part of me who wants to protect this girl badly, she is different, I know it.

 

“What? Rin, don’t be ridiculous, I just don’t want someone being hurt, even though they are devils, angels, vampires, mermaids, elves or humans. Well at least we still do not know why she came here.” I said and turned to her, I hope she believes in my reason

 

“I see…hah,” she sighed and walked passed me to the clinic “Hey, keep walking, why are you standing there like an idiot?” she added and kept walking

 

I smiled to her back “Yes-yes, Ma’am” and walked with her

 

“Good morning? Oh? Where’s the doctor?” I said and looked around at the clinic room

 

“Uhmm…ah! Rihito, look at this.” Rin said and gave a piece of paper

 

“Ah, she is on a meeting today. Well, can you heal her, Rin?” I asked as I put Kurumi on a bed and Rin started the healing process. It seemed like a serious injury, it took quiet a long time.

 

“KURUMIIII” I heard a shout from outside the window and suddenly the window’s glasses were broken and a pink haired man with a hat flew into the room

 

“Kyaa!” Rin immediately covered Kurumi with her own body

 

“Kurumi…” he walked to Kurumi and kneeled down next to her

 

“Who are you? What are you doing here, devil?” I said and immediately pointed my sword to him

 

“I’m Takumi, Kurumi’s partner back in the Devil's territorial, I am here to take back my Queen, Kurum. And who are you?” he said and carried Kurumi, so this is Takumi who Kurumi mentioned before

 

“Put her down, the healing process hasn't finished yet, and I am Rihito, crown prince of Angels, and this is Rin” I said but kept pointing my sword

 

“Healing process? Hahaha…what a great joke,Prince!” He laughed loudly

 

“Joke? I am not joking!” I replied him angrily

 

“You are not joking, you say?” he said and kept on laughing until his eyes got teary “you two are angels, right? Do you think I am stupid? Angels won’t heal devils” he added and glared at me

 

“I won’t hurt her, please, at least let me finish the process first, if you take her while the healing process is on going, it will give her a side effect” Rin said and walked to them

 

"Rin..." I secretly thanked her in my head

 

“Side effect…geez…only in one condition” he replied Rin without turning toward any of us

 

“What’s it?” I asked him

 

“First, put back your sword, I am here not to fight or hunt angels, I am not in the mood as well” he said and walked back toward the bed. I put back my sword and looked at him

 

“If you want me to let Kurumi stay here for a while, I will stay here too. That’s my condition” he said and sat next to Kurumi

 

“Pardon me? You? Stay here? No way.” I said and looked away

 

“Fine, I’ll take Kurumi home now then” he said and took her again

 

“Wait…wait…geez…okay you can stay here” I said as he smirked and put Kurumi back to the bed

 

“RIHITO!” Rin shouted from the back

 

“What is it Rin? You didn’t need to shout at me okay” I said lazily and turned to her

 

“Do you know what did you do? You just let another devil stay here! If the King see this, we all will become dead meats!” she said with angry voice

 

“Well it’s only an ‘if’, right little angel over there?” Takumi said while kept Kurumi’s hair

 

“Little-!?…D-Don’t call me like that, that’s disgusting!” Rin shouted again

 

“Calm down, Rin! I will take the consequence if the King finds out” I said and sat next to Kurumi’s another side.

 

“Well so why do you even sit next to her, soon-to-be-king?” Takumi asked and frowned his eyebrows to me

 

“This is my castle, I have the right to sit wherever I wish to” I said as Rin continued with Kurumi’s healing process with her angry face, I don't know if it is because my decision for letting Takumi to stay or Takumi’s teasing

 

"No-no-no, it's not a reason. Stand up on that corner or sit next to me" Takumi glared at me

 

"Wha-? This is my castle, you know!"I protested

 

"SHUT UP! I NEED TO CONCENTRATE!" Rin shouted angrily and glared at the two of us, "Rihito, you move there" she added and pointed the seat next to Takumi

 

"But-" I tried to protest but Rin shook her head, "...fine" I replied and sat next to Takumi

 

"Pft" he smirked smugly

 

Several hours passed after that, I could see Takumi started nodding off on his seat, I am kinda sleepy myself...

 

“Uuh…” I saw Kurumi started opening her eyes, and sat down on the bed “wh-where am I?” she said and looked around “Huh? Rihito? Takumi?” she said after looked at us

 

"Kurumi!" Rin said excitedly and moved closer to her

 

"Eh?" Kurumi blinked her eyes several times, "h-how...?"she looked at Rin confusedly

 

"Oi, annoying devil wake up"I said and shook his shoulder

 

“Uh!?" Takumi opened his eyes widely and stood up next to Kurumi, "good morning, sleeping beauty! We are in Angel's castle" he added

 

"Angel's castle?" she blinked again in total confusion

 

"I'll fill in you, later" Takumi patted her head

 

“How’s your condition? Do you feel better now?” I asked her and she nodded at me “thank you” she said and smiled warmly

 

“It’s this girl who healed you anyway” I said as I pointed at Rin, “oh by the way, what are you doing here? Are you crazy? You are a devil and you entered angel’s area” I said and asked her

 

“Oh! Wait, where is my bag?” she said and looked around without answering my question

 

“Here” Rin gave the bag to her and smiled softly “I’m Rin” she added, hey wait a minute, isn’t it her who protested me for helping a devil? Why is she smiling to Kurumi now then?

 

“Ah! Thank you for the bag and for healing me” she took the bag and bowed her head to Rin, “Rin? What a cute name!Though you have known it, but let me introduce myself, I’m Kurumi, nice to meet you” she smiled at Rin.

 

“You didn’t change, huh?” Rin murmured under her breath but immediately smiled at Kurumi “sure, nice to meet you too, Kurumi!” Rin replied and sat next to me “I understand why you wanted to help her now” Rin whispered to me and winked.

 

“Hu-uh? What do you mean?” I asked her with small voice

 

“Well, she is cute, innocent not like the majority of devils, and she is kind of different” Rin said while kept smiling to her

 

“Rihito, I came here actually…uhm…to give this to Kise” Kurumi suddenly said and held a robotic toy, well on that toy’s body ‘Kise and Micchi’ was written.

 

“Toy? Ah! Is that Kise’s toy? Well okay, I’ll give this to him when I meet him later, but…seriously, only for this toy? You know the consequence of coming here, right?” I asked with surprised expression on my face

 

“Well…uh…I know, but still, this toy is precious for Kise, right? And I have promised to Kise and everything…” she said again and looked down

 

“Kurumi… seriously, you are too kind, and another thing, why did you even help the angels?” Takumi said and placed his both hands on her cheeks

 

“I-is it wrong to help other people?” she asked innocently to Takumi

 

“Well…Kurumi…it’s not wrong, but…you put your life in danger, and it’s not good, I was worried about you” Takumi said with really soft voice as he patted Kurumi’s head again

 

“I-I am sorry, Taku-kun… I won’t make you worried about me again” she said and grins

 

“Promise?” Takumi held his pinky finger to Kurumi and Kurumi linked her pinky finger to Takumi’s “promise!” she said and smiled, well, she looked cute…

 

“Ehem” I coughed and looked away

 

“Aw, someone is jealous over me, huh?”  Takumi said and I could see his smirk grew on his face.

 

“Jealous? Like, I will jealous over a devil like you? Keep dreaming” I said and frowned at him

 

“Well, well, I said ‘someone’, I didn’t say it is you who are jealous over me” he said and his smirk got wider.

 

“You…” I frowned as I glared at him

 

“Yes, little prince?” Takumi said as he kept his smirk on his face

 

“Uhm…well it’s lunch time, let’s go eat something” Rin said and cracked the awkwardness in the room

 

“Lunch? Waah~ I haven’t eaten anything since yesterday actually” Kurumi said with her sparkling eyes when he heard ‘lunch’ word

 

“Haven’t eaten anything? Kurumi! You said you went to visit Ren and Kirai, and why you didn’t eat anything?” Takumi said again with worried voice, seriously I am sick of that kind of voice, his voice changes easily.

 

“Uhmm…actually…I…I was looking for Kise’s toy” Kurumi said

 

“And you didn’t go home? Are you crazy? Oh gosh, why devils can never think straight?” I said with surprised face and looked at her.

 

“Enough you two, please, don’t shout at Kurumi again, can’t you see her scared face? It’s better to give her something to eat now” Rin stood up as she pulled Kurumi’s hand and got out from the room

 

"Rin!" Quorum said happily and followed her

 

“Tch…” Takumi said and followed Rin and Kurumi, "I hate him, seriously" I thought as I followed them too.

 

“WAAAH!” Kurumi said as she looked at the foods on the table happily

 

“You can eat as much as you want” Rin said and smiled and patted her head.

 

“Really? Wah! Thank you so much Rin, Rihito!” Kurumi said and started eating, well I saw Takumi looked at the food as well

 

“You, rude-pink-haired devil” Rin said and sat next to me “you can eat too if you want” she added and took plates for me, Takumi, and herself

 

“I-I will never eat something that come from the Angel side” he said and looked away but sometimes stole a glance of it

 

“Taku-kun~ don’t be too negative, well they are also delicious!” Kurumi said when she heard Takumi declined Rin’s offer.

 

“B-But…” he said again, well he still didn’t want to touch his spoon

 

“Don’t be shy, we are angels not magicians like Ririone-sama who can make poison and put it in the food” I said and started eating, I could hear Rin’s chuckle.

 

“Even if we put some poisons, it means we will get the effect as well, stupid” Rin said as she put a piece of her food into

 

“I-I’m not being shy!” he said again still with his arrogant face. Then suddenly we all heard someone’s stomach growled. We all looked at Takumi whose face turned really red.

 

“Pft…Taku-kun, if you are hungry you can eat with us, right? Rin and Rihito have offered you before, right?” Kurumi said while tried to hold her laugh

 

“Bu-But…” he kept on insisting

 

“Don’t be too stubborn, Ta-ku-kun” I said while teasing him by following Kurumi’s way to pronounce his name

 

“Don’t call me that! Only Kurumi can call me like that” he frowned to me then his stomach growled again. We all burst into laugh

 

“S-stop laughing, okay-okay I will eat!” he said again while frowning and his face was really red.

 

We ate together and joked around, Takumi was the one who was the quietest between the 4 of us, but well, they are the first devils I don’t want to kill, although Takumi was kind of annoying.

 

After lunch, Rin offered Kurumi and Takumi to look around the castle, from the garden until the library. We all had fun and didn’t realize that the time flew by really fast

 

“Let’s go home now, Kurumi, we shouldn’t stay here too long, this is still angel’s area” Takumi said as he patted Kurumi’s head. He really likes to pat Kurumi’s head…

 

“Sure” Kurumi nodded

 

“Kurumi,if you want to, you can stay here tonight, since it’s already late to go home and the way to devil’s side is kind of dangerous at night” Rin said and smiled to Kurumi, "you too, Takumil" she added in flat tone

 

"What's with the way you talked to me..." Takumi sighed and smiled angrily at Rin

 

“I want!" Kurumi replied excitedly but then shook her head, "but...we will only become a burden here, and if the King knows that we are here, you two will be in trouble, right?” she added

 

“Kurumi’s right. We should go home, we don’t want to make other problems here” Takumi said and stood up

 

“Well…. my father is not at the castle right now, and…no one in this castle will tell him if you guys stay here tonight” I looked away as soon as I said it

 

“Well, so the crown prince is asking us to stay? Cool, I wonder how can this kind of thing happen…hm?” I could see Takumi’s smirk right after he said that

 

“Shut up, rude-pink-haired devil” I said and frowned to him

 

“But well, thank you, bad-tempered-prince” he said and sat back next to Kurumi

 

“What did you call me?” I said and looked at him again

 

“Bad-tempered-prince why? Is it wrong?” he said and smirked again

 

“You are really a rude pink haired devil!” I said argued back

 

“I-Is it really okay to stay here?” Kurumi asked to Rin while me and Takumi were arguing

 

“Yes of course! Like Rihito has said, The King is not here at the moment, you guys are okay to stay here!” Rin said and smiled

 

“But, where will we sleep?” Kurumi asked again

 

“There is no guest room available at the moment, well Takumi can sleep with Rihito and you can sleep in my room” Rin said and smiled to Kurumi.

 

“WHAT? WITH HIM? NO WAY!” Takumi and I both shouted at the same time

 

“…Huh?” Takumi and I looked at each other as we shot a glare

 

“Yay~! Thank you Rin!” Kurumi said and hugged Rin

 

“You are welcome Kurumi!” Rin replied then looked at us, “and you two, can you stop arguing?” she added and we only looked at her

 

“Shut up! He called me with something annoying!”  Takumi and I said it together

 

“Don’t copy me, you copycat!” I said to him and frowned

 

“Copied you? Please, I said it 0.1 second faster than you, so it's you who copied me okay!” Takumi fought back

 

“Hah… well I don’t think they will finish soon, so Kurumi, let's go to sleep” Rin said and pulled Kurumi’s hand

 

“Un~! Sure, Rin. I am sleepy too, let's just leave these 2 noisy boys” Kurumi chuckled and followed Rin

 

“Whatever! I have never copied you okay, I’m sleepy I want to sleep” Takumi said and stood up just at the same time when I stood up

 

“Stop copying me!” we shouted to each other and walked to my room

 

The next day came, I woke up earlier than usual, this rude devil kept kicking me and I couldn't sleep at all thanks to him

 

I walked to the living room and saw Rin and Kurumi were talking and laughing together

 

"Do they really do that? Hahaha that's hilarious, Kurumi" Rin said while laughing

 

"Yes, yes, they totally do that every year" Kurumi nodded and laughed as well

 

“Good morning, what are you guys doing?” I asked them and sat at another sofa.

 

“Uhm nothing, we are just talking about funny things in angel side and devil side” Rin answered me

 

“Ah by the way Rihito, Rin, when Takumi wakes up, we will go back” Kurumi said and bowed to us, “thank you so much!” she said and grinned. She really looks like a kid.

 

“Morning everyone….” Takumi said and walked toward us, with messy hair and pajama.

 

“Taku-kun!” Kurumi shouted and put her hands on her waist

 

“Hm? What is it, Kurumi?” Takumi replied sleepily

 

“It’s rude to talk to people with that kind of appearance, go make your hair and change your pajama” Kurumi said to Takumi and started pushing him back to his room then ran back to us

 

Whoa, Kurumi is pretty strict about this kind of thing, isn't she?

 

“S-sorry about Takumi…” she said and looked down

 

“It’s okay, Kurumi” Rin answered him and patted her head, Kurumi replied with a grin, then not too long after that, Takumi was back again but with neater appearance.

 

“Ah~ Good morning again Taku-kun!” Kurumi said and held his hand, okay, why did Kurumi hold his hand?

 

“Morning, Kurumi” he smiled as he held Kurumi’s hand and patted her head with another hand

 

“So, we will go now” Kurumi said and bowed to us

 

“That soon?” I blurted out, well I didn’t think I would say that out loud though as I covered my mouth

 

“Hum? We have stayed here for a night, I think it is long enough Rihito, and the longer we are here the bigger chance you two might get into troubles” Kurumi replied me before smiling softly

 

“Someone is falling in love with my Queen I think” Takumi smirked, well my face got red

 

“N-no I’m not!” I answered him and frowned

 

“Well-well I don’t care, but Kurumi is mine, I won’t allow anyone to touch her” Takumi said and held Kurumi’s back

 

“He~h?” Kurumi looked up at him confusedly

 

I frowned, I feel like I want to slap those hands for touching Kurumi, “yours? Do you mean your partner in castle?” Kurumi innocently asked Takumi

 

“What? Eeh…I…” Takumi showed a depressed expression. I smirked, score!

 

“Pfftt…” I laughed because Takumi’s expression

 

“Shut up! You still are not allowed to touch her, not you, not everyone!” he said with angry and embarrassed expression

 

“I have touched her, you know” Rin said and smirked meaningfully

 

What…? Rin? Does Rin swing that way…?

 

“T-touched her? W-what did you do last night?!” Takumi said with surprised look on his face and his face became a little red

 

“Don’t think about it while using your ert mind, you stupid devil, of course I’ve touched her, she hugged me last night” Rin said and burst into laugh

 

“Y-you…ambiguous angel!” Takumi replied with red face

 

“Pft…what? Ambiguous? Wahaha you ert stupid devil!” Rin fought back and laughed again

 

“What!?” Takumi glared at Rin

 

“Okay-okay that’s enough Taku-kun, let’s go home” Kurumi said and started pulling his right sleeve

 

“WAIT-WAIT!”  I said without realizing how loud my voice was.

 

“Uhm? What is it Rihito?” Kurumi turned to me with questioned look on her face

 

“Uh…I…well…I…I…” I said with stuttering

 

Rin chuckled then said something to cover me up, “Rihito thinks why don’t you guys have breakfast first, right Rihito?”  Rin smirked to me

 

“Uh yes…I mean…that…” I said and tried to hide my face, which I felt became hotter, thank you Rin! I owe you two!

 

“Well…but…” Kurumi confusedly turned toward Takumi, “but…”

 

“You worry too much, Kurumi, come on, let’s have breakfast together!” Rin replied and pulled Kurumi’s hand to dining room

 

“If you guys insist, Kurumi and I will stay then” Takumi said and smirked to us

 

“If only you were not Kurumi’s partner, I would have kicked you away” Rin said without looking back and we laughed

 

“Yea-Yea, I know, because you cannot stand my perfectness, right? Ah-ha! My new fan-girl” Takumi said proudly

 

“Ew~ give me a break!” Rin replied and all of us laughed. Well, they are not that bad as devils, they are funny to be very honest, if only all of the devils are like them.

 

When we were eating and chatting, one of the maids in my castle came to the dining room and said

 

“Good morning, Prince Rihito, Lady Rin, Lady Kurumi, and Sir Takumi, I’m sorry for disturbing your breakfast, but Ririone-sama sent an invitation” and gave us and envelope with Ririone-sama’s signature on there

 

“Thank you, Nina” Rin replied to her and smiled while tore the envelope to read the letter.

 

“Well…this letter is also for Kurumi and Takumi, I think” Rin said after read the letter

 

“For us? What do you mean, Rin?” Kurumi asked curiously

 

“Uh…this letter said that we have to gather in the City Hall an hour later, it also said that you two were also invited” Rin told them and suddenly there was a crow flew toward Takumi and perched on Takumi’s shoulder with the same envelope on its peck

 

“I guess we just got our invitation” Takumi took the envelope from the crow, and the crow disappeared.
